Seasons Restaurant - Four Seasons Washington DC
Overall, brunch was a pleasant experience but with the increasing prices and decreasing food experience, I no longer think this brunch is worth the cost. A few other guests mentioned the same to me in passing Years ago this was the best brunch in the city but the seafood area was lacking which used to be the piece de resistance. Once again, service was fine (not exceptional but fine) but I don’t think this is worth the cost anymore.
Our Brunch experience began with the high level service rendered from the valet car staff. Then upon entering Seasons, we were greeted by Diana, who is always a professional , yet cheerful presence. Once seated, we were in the good hands of Mohammed, who makes guests feel as though no request is too big or too small.
We were celebrating a live well lived as our friend and guest had lost her husband last fall. Diana surprised us with a macaron plate which was inscribed with an uplifting
message. Our experience included all of that and great food as well!
The brunch service was phenomenal. The seafood was superior with more variety of dishes than I could try. Also this was a protein hearty offering with lots of vegetables so if you are low carb or low starch you will be satisfied, served and catered to. I fully intended to eat croissants, waffles, French toast etc. but there so much whole food I was already full and overserved. This will be a staple on my best brunch list.
It was a birthday celebration
We went for New Year’s Day brunch - there were So many options plus unlimited Bloody Mary and mimosas!
We have brunch st Seasons every News Year's Day we can. It is always special. This year there were some things that were different - possibly trying to make things special - that did not work. Overall, however, an outstanding place to start the New Year.
Fancy place. Great food. Nice services. Will visit again!
The food was great as usual but we miss the selection from previous visits. The added noddle station was a different buffet selection but we were really looking forward to a great Holiday Brunch......it was not great
I took my daughter to Saturday tea for some Mother-Daughter bonding time and enjoyed it immensely! The Four Seasons was beautifully decorated for the Holidays, the service was great and the tea was delicious! We will be back again.
Great location. Wonderful service food was ok
Seasons is breakfast and disappointing no lunch
A special Winter tea with dear friends.
Lovely setting, and wonderful views too.
Our server, Yosef was outstanding!
Charming, and efficient. All the staff were.
Perfect music in the background , our glasses of Most never empty.
We HOPE this tea will continue.
Brought back this Fall, after a 10 year hiatus.
SO enjoyed by everyone.
A real treat.
Great brunch buffet. Good service although table a little drafty and in the aisle. Good food including seafood especially lobster salad. To order french toast, waffles and pancakes. Wonderful cheese selection and lots of desserts. Lamb chops very nice. Cream puffs crispy outside by some secret process. Server especially good. Daughter forgot purse and he came after us to give it to her
Food an service were excellent for Saturday lunch of Thanksgiving weekend. I had the Mahi Mahi entree, which was great. Other entrees at table looked great. Dessert platter was delicious. (It does not come with a chocolate item but we asked for and got one on it.)
Wonderful as usual one of my favorite places to brunch
Terrible breakfast. The quality of waffles and french toast just doesn’t come close to its brand value “Four Seasons”
Great place for a business breakfast or a special one. Staff are always on top of it.
A great birthday celebration for my wife
Wonderful as always. Thank you.
quality of food is excellent. settting is beautiful. yes, it's pricey but service is solid and everyone so gracious.
Dear Annemddc, Thank you so much for visiting Seasons Restaurant. We are so happy you found the service was solid and the quality of food was excellent. Please do let us know what we can do to attain your 5 star review. We hope to welcome you back soon!
Very classy brunch. All the food selections were done well for a buffet. You can tell ingredients are all fresh. Best part were the desserts, beautifully made. This would be nitpicking but the only compliant I have was the Bloody Mary bartender could have been more friendly, certain air of superiority about him. Bloody Mary was delicious however.
I’ve been coming for this brunch for many years. This visit I noticed changes in quality , the Prosecco was inexpensive, some of my favorites were not up to the standards originally set; smaller cocktail shrimp, no short ribs,
It’s still a good brunch, just not a great as it used to be.
Brunch was fantastic. Service was on point. Food was great. All improved from our last visit.
Food excellent. Just crowded and pretty noisy. Service missing initially then a few too many interruptions.
This is an ideal venue for a business breakfast: the service is attentive and subtle; the space is light-filled and modern; and the menu is varied with top-quality offerings. For a high-end hotel breakfast it is also favorably priced.
Dear JonathanG, Thank you for your kind feedback. We appreciate your time in reviewing our restaurant with five stars in food, service and ambiance, and specifically noting our "attentive and subtle service." We hope to welcome you again soon for your next business breakfast!
The service was impeccable and food was delicious and plentiful. They have a paella station for the fall. I do wish that they would enforce a dress code. Not spandex, sleeveless t-shirts, ripped jeans etc.. because it brings down the panache of “Four Seasons”
Very nice experience.
Birthday brunch. Although they did not recognize the b day.
Hello, Thank you for taking the time to leave a five star review. I do sincerely apologize that your birthday was not recognized. We hope to welcome you back in the future to turn this around for you and your guest for your next special occasion.
This was our first visit, we were celebrating a birthday and excited to try the Sunday buffet as I have heard it is lavish. We enjoyed the food and service. The seafood area was stellar. The ceviche fresh & flavorful, lobster salad, shrimp and well all the seafood area was great. Crab Louis was just ok. Unusual offputting seasoning. Cheese and charcuterie delicious especially the garlic jam, spiced fish and blue cheese.
Mac and truffle was a nice touch as the crab cakes and salmon. Barely glanced at the breakfast bar... getting stuffed. :) The dessert room was amazing. The chocolate creme puff, and chocolate rocky road cookie stood out. Mimosas were nicely done. My one complaint that made the entire visit not so enjoyable was the temperature of the room. It was sweltering. Their A/C was out! We had an 11:30 reservation and left around 1:30 and it might have just begun to partially run. Extremely disappointing that some sort of temporary unit or fans or some attempt to make guests more comfortable. Vague apologies when I mentioned several times. That left a huge negative in my mind. Pitty.
10/15:19 update: Seasons was kind enough to offer us a return visit, compliments of them. We didn't chose to go back to the brunch as Seasons but rather had lunch at the Bourbon Steakhouse. Although a bit overpriced compared to its many high-end steak house competitors, the food was phenomenal!
Really big disappointment. I was sure this was a safe bet but was so wrong. The buffet only had 3 types of pastries!! It was like a cheap hotel continental spread. There was no fresh bread choices for toast; no bagels; and the only bread was some small slices of toasted white bread which was very hard. For the $100+ price per person, I expected much more. There are so many really good high-end places I should have chosen instead.
Sunday brunch at the Four Seasons is one of the great weekly food events in Washington DC. By far, the Four Seasons outclasses every other Sunday brunch in this city. Everything imaginable is abundant, immaculately prepared and tastefully displayed. I could have tasted everything but I didn’t have four hours to try it all.
Make a reservation and be prepared for the tab. It costs around $100 per person, which still is not a cheap date but the staff does such a superb job that I did not want to leave.
Hello, Thank you so much for your kind words that Four Seasons "outclasses every other Sunday brunch in the city!" We do sincerely appreciate your feedback. Thank you also for noting that "the staff does a superb job." We hope to welcome you back soon!
Old world elegance with a modern vibe. Still where the power brokers have breakfast and justifiably so. Everyone is treated with manners and kindness shown so infrequently other places. People are trained who work there! The food and the presentation are unmatched. I only wished they stayed open for lunch and dinner. That is a tragedy.
We had an absolutely exquisite experience for brunch on Sunday. The food was impeccable. The staff was hospitable and adeptly attentive. I will come back every time I am in town. I recommend this brunch experience to everyone I know without reservation.
This was our second time frequenting this restaurant. We were underwhelmed. I think they switched chefs. The first time was amazing. This time, not so much. At the price of this brunch, I expected the wow factor. Not this time. It was a miss.
Not the first time and, as usual, the food, service and atmosphere was outstanding. Our favorite place for special occasions.
Food is imaginative and delicious. Great variety. Beautiful presentation.
Brunch was served at Bourbon this week because of renovations downstairs. They didn't miss a beat: everything was wonderful as usual.
This is far from the first time we’ve been to the Four Seasons for Sunday brunch. We have, however, scaled back big time with the last couple of price increases. Now, they’ve kind of priced themselves well above the market when mostly what you’re paying for is the ambiance of Seasons and the outstanding service. This time, they held the brunch in the Bourbon steak restaurant because Seasons is undergoing some kind of rennovation. The ambiance in the Bourbon is very different than Seasons. Seasons has always felt open, bright and airy whil Bourbon is mostly the opposite. In Seasons, the food stations are around the room. With brunch being held in Bourbon, the food stations were in another room and my perception may have been wrong, but it seemed like there were quite a few less choices this time. At the price they charge, they should have just cancelled brunch until Seasons reopened or discounted it while in Bourbon.
The one thing that didn’t change with the change in venue was the outstanding service from the waitstaff. They are all so professional, friendly and welcoming.
Buenísimo y súper buen servicio
It was ok. Food variety was limited. Expected better of Seasons at the four seasons.
