Seasons 52 - Tampa Ratings and Reviews
I was shocked when we waited exactly 1 hour from the time we ordered to receiving our entree. Yet the manager was there and Dud not even attempt to apologize to any of the guests (even as we left). I think a good manager he would've probably went to the Tables and apologize for the long kitchen delays. Maybe even offer a Dessert or something. Our 8 pm reservation we were seated 30 minutes late also. It was extremely long wait and we were not the only guests frustrated. Our waiter was friendly. Maybe hire more help?
Not as many seafood entrees as I thought I would find in Tampa, but a good value on the prix fix menu. Nice filet and good starter choices. Asked for no char on the medium rare. Got char on one side and rare, but wasn't about to send it back as service is a bit on the slow side. Again, found too many IPA, stouts, and heavy beers on the tap menu. Wish more restaurants would acknowledge that many of us like a lighter beer with food.
I bought s couple of people that had never dined at Season's 52 and they really enjoyed it. We were a bit taken back though then the server had no idea what a Chianti might be. That's pretty basic so you may want to ensure they know the basics. I love the ambiance but found it really tough to read the menu (partly my contacts I'm sure). We'll be back!
The hostess is always friendly. The waitress was good except she would bring out the highest priced wines by the glass for options and she was very incorrect about her wine knowledge and the staff definitely needs training on wine basics. She did give good service, but definitely lacked the knowledge and I blame management not the server.
I met a girlfriend who I'd not seen in quite awhile and picked Season's 52 due to it's location being so near Tampa International Airport. We spent just over two hours here during a busy lunchtime "business" hour. We could not have picked a better place! The service was outstanding. The waiter was very attentive but not overly so. Not pushy and did make some great recommendations on the menu as well. Our food was cooked to order and quite tasty. We were both very pleased with this lunch choice and would go back again in a heartbeat!
The service was finally outstanding! We love the Seasons 52 menu and the seasonal changes. I think we've had just about everything on the menu at this point and all of the meals are very good. We were a little disappointed that the sauce for the filet got soaked up by the mashed potatoes, so the filet was a little flavorless, but it was cooked perfectly, and the taste was easily resolve with a little salt and pepper. We went for my husband's birthday and to see if they'd really made positive changes to the service. Thankfully the service was excellent this time, and we noticed many more server out and about than during our last few visits. So, looks like things are back to normal at Seasons 52; very good food, and excellent service. Try the Lamb shank before it's gone for the season. delicious. the spinach salad is terrific also.
First time dining after my wife and I took in a comedy club late afternoon show. It was my wife's birthday. I noted that in the open table reservation. Very attentive, friendly team both the Waitress as well as the evening Manager (who stopped by to say hello and wish my wife a happy birthday). Definitely a new favorite of ours. Located outside of the mall, so reduced stress of trying to get in, with Valet on property. Very nice evening indeed.
Dinner for 2 of my guest was brunt. I ordered shrimp and grits. I received brunt shrimps, bacon and vegetable and a flatten helping of grits that was buried 6 feet under the brunt toppings. My guest broccoli , whole purple carrot, wilted and was brunt. My bill $112.72, was not worthy of that amount.
Never disappointed in the flatbreads and desserts. Reasonable dinner portions so you don't feel stuffed when you leave the restaurant. Tasty salads. Good ambiance. Full restaurant but easy to get a reservation on a Sunday night. Good service. Not super speedy but not slow either.
The food, service and atmosphere was excellent. The food is unique to the season and serving size is just right. The desserts are perfect sized - you can have 1 if you’re stuffed or as many as you’d like. It’s a great place for a special dinner or just when you don’t want to cook.
Seasons 52 was oddly quiet on a recent Sunday night. This restaurant is ALWAYS so busy, and it was nice to have things a bit calmer !!! The service was on point, and the seafood dishes were delightful. The scallops were caramelized beautifully and the trout was golden. I especially enjoyed the roasted heirloom carrots- yum!!
The most awful experience at a well established restaurant that should have their act together at all time, especially on Saturdays. It's not that our bad experience started at the bar, although a less than surly bartender would have helped, but that everything that could have gone wrong at dinner actually did. We were a table of 5 who were out to celebrate a good time. Our waitress Kimberly was nice but seemed to reflect a level of chaos that comes from having what seemed to be too few wait staff on the floor and a kitchen that was sending out the wrong signals. It took forever to get water after we were seated (30 minute wait despite our reservation), take or order or deliver our food. Someone in our party asked for the lamb and was told S52 was out of lamb. He asked for a steak and was told S52 was out of steak. He asked for chicken and was told S52 was out of chicken. Finally he asked Kimberly to just surprise him. She brought him out a steak, saying that the kitchen found one for him. The inconsistent messaging and seeming disorganization was incredibly confusing and frustrating.. Appetizers were great but our entrees weren't really well seasoned. Overall complaints were cold and/or too salty. Although nice, Kimberly seemed flustered and focused on going through the motions (at a race neck speed) of taking orders and up selling us on dessert. Frankly, given our food experience, we were surprised we weren't comp'ed for the desserts and coffees were ordered. We were glad to have continued onto a second restaurant for drinks. The general consensus was why we hadn't gone to the second restaurant to have our dinner in the first place. There wasn't a single member in our group who felt S52 stood up to its reputation that night.
