Seasons 52 - Schaumburg Ratings and Reviews
When you first walk in the first thing you notice is the beautiful ambiance, elegance, and detail of the the restaurant’s decor. However after that it’s takes a fairly large dip in what’s most important which is the food and somewhat the service.
I know everybody’s tastebuds are different, and fresh food especially when it comes to seafood has a noticeably different taste which is supposed to add to the quality, but everything about the food was bland and lacking. I literally taste as if the food was cooked wIthout seasoning other than the smoke from the grill. I had the the salmon as well as a Maine lobster tail and my girl had the lamb and a lobster tail as well and we shared the lobster bisque. Her lamb was slightly over cooked and the lobster tail was also and overly smoked. Everything about my salmon was terrible and I had to force myself to eat half of it solely because I was hungry and we both ate light lunches in order to save our appetite for this dinner. For me to be as hungry as I was and it still taste as bad as it did was really disappointing. I know lobster, it’s is my favorite dish, and I spent 3 months a year in Maine for 2 years. This was very sub par lobster.
The waitress herself and her personality was nice but the skill of timeliness was lacking. After first two times she came to our table it would take 15 minutes if that to see her again. As far as her presentation in a place of this caliber it was good. I can tell she was taught wine presentation and she made an effort to follow it. I have been to other places where wine is a big part of the menu and the forget the simple things in presentation which separates the class of a restaurant.
Overall for my $126 meal (including tip) I was not satisfied. When you come to places like this, for the prices you pay comes with a level of expectation. None of mine were met other than the wine. I wouldn’t recommend this place. I recommend The Gage in Downtown Chicago instead!
I love that our reservation time is honored and we were seated in the area we asked for. Our waitress was really nice, attentive and helpful when I was making my food choice. We also had a drink at the bar and they were really good! Thank you for a wonderful evening.😊
I had a Filet and it was cooked just perfectly and extremely tasty.
My wife had fish and as well she loved it.
We each enjoyed our deserts and topped of the meal with a good bottle of wine .
Been here before and have always enjoyed and appreciated their efforts towards good quality.
We will be back.
We made reservations at 8 pm. We went to check in and the hostess could have acknowledge us sooner. It was a couple of minutes before she took care of us. Once she checked us in, we waited only 10 min before we were seated. They gave us a booth which was perfect. Our waitress was really great! The ambiance was perfect for romantic valentine's day dinner. The food was surperb. Highly recommend.
Great place, had the Valentines Dinner for 2 and brought another couple too. Carol was our waitress and one your best. We do like to dine in the booths in the bar because it is so much quieter or the back room. Noise level in the open dining area when full is very hard to hear your people with which you are dining.
Other than that! All is good.
Great food and nice restaurant but not to fancy. Service started off very slow took a long time to get first drinks. They were busy but without me even saying anything the waiter came over apologized for things starting off slow and gave us a round of drinks and offered desert on the house. I will definitely go back. Not a lot of people admit there screw ups but he did and the rest of the dinner was great.
Always an amazing experience! Our server Vita was truly awesome and patient when we changed our mind a few times! LOVE the Happy Hour menu at 6 pm! We weren't big spenders like some of the tables ($130 for party of 4,) yet she was always attentive refilling our waters and making sure we were well taken care of, yet not rushed! This kind of service is not always easily found anymore! Food was fantastic...though our 1/2 roasted chickens were a little dry, but usually they are awesome so I think it might have been a fluke! The parking situation at 6 pm Wed was disastrous and though offering free valet service, the line was huge and wasn't feeling too comfortable leaving my car in front while the valet guys were hustling the cars, so we ended up parking at Wendy's praying that they wouldn't tow us. We had received a $25 bonus before Christmas in Oak Brook, so wanted to use it before the expiration and it was awesome to introduce our friends to this top notch restaurant! All in all, 5 stars, as I would say with the healthier fare and incredible service, Season's 52 is in one of my Top 3 choices! Thanks again to all the staff and management of Season's 52!
Always enjoy going to Seasons 52. Great healthy food, but not all broccoli & kale! Just great food & excellent service, this time from Gani, very attentive & not overwhelming. Gave recommendations & greeted me by name, as the reservation was in my name. That's rare.
The service was awesome, however, I was disappointed with the food. For the price, I expected much more, as far as quality, than what was provided. I like moscato d’asti for wine and all they had was jam jar moscato which is one of the cheaper wines. Not at all impressed with food and drinks but the service was great.
We generally love Seasons 52, but on this occasion we had an 8:30 reservation (later than we wanted), but weren't offered a table until 9:05! By that point, we decided to eat at the bar. The bar staff was friendly and responsive, but we would have preferred to be seated at our reservation time.
I have been here before and enjoyed it. I don’t know if the issue was restaurant week but it was super crowded. Our teservations were for 7:30 and they were late seating us. The restraint week menu was not very informational as to the differentiation’s as to what was being offered. Our Roma tomato flat bread was soggy. The salads were under dressed. Our gilets were done wonderfully but the mashed potatoes and broccoli rob was cold. Our service was very good and our server attentive but we had to ask for refills and silverware. Just not what we have come to expect from this restaurant.
We went with another couple for Restaurant Week. The food is always very good and the choices for Restaurant Week have a good variety. It's a very good value. However, we had to wait 40 minutes for our table even though we had a reservation and we on time. They passed out some wine for all those waiting, but there were a lot of people waiting for tables. One we were seated, we had good service, including giving us samples of wine to taste before we ordered and an extra mini dessert.
Everything was excellent except the wait. We had an open table reservation for 730 and we finally got seated at 810. They did give us a small complimentary glass of wine. Did over hear some people saying that this is not the first time this has happened at this location.
I provided feedback directly to Seasons 52, but in a nutshell, it was half an hour past our reservation time before we were seated, our waiter disappeared for long periods of time, the food was mediocre, one dish was served completely wrong, and to top it all off, the manager was insulting. A very disappointing experience.
Seated us ten minutes after our reservation which always starts off a meal on a bad foot. Took forever for wait staff to take our order only to be told we had the lunch menu and had to start over (my wife picked something not available in the evening). When the food arrived it was very good. The food is excellent.
Everything was slow. The place is so noisy its hard to hear the wait staff or the wife. We enjoyed the food and it seems like a nice place but they are trying to squeeze 1.25 x people though a 1 x people restaurant. Good for them to be so popular but success will catch up with them eventually.
