Seasons 52 is an excellent value for quality , delicious food with excellent service and ambiance. We always enjoy our meals there and can count on consistent great meals each time we go.
Crab cake sandwich was bland. Otherwise a great lunch.
We had a large party and it was so fun and delicious!!
Waitress was lovely and the rainbow trout was excellent
Great food , great service.
The waitress was very attentive and friendly. The food was delicious and all was good and made to perfection. It was a little chilly and the waitress offered the heat lamp right away.
Our waiter Cole was fantastic! He made spot-on recommendations and was happy to accommodate all of our requests. The service made for a great evening out!
Seasons consistently delivers great service and good food. I also really appreciate their flexibility on menu items.
Today, the Risotto that comes with Scallop was not fresh. It tastes spoiled. Leftovers from yesterday? Not good. I ordered the same dish twice before, and they were delicious.
Such a wonderful place to celebrate a birthday or any other occasion!
Chris, our waiter was amazing!
Its always great here > I have never had a bad experience.. The food and desert is great and service is as well!
We’ve had a Black Friday tradition for years now of lunch after shopping here (2020 the exception). This was our first disappointing dining experience here and we’ve been dozens of times over the years. There was hardly a mushroom in our stuffed mushrooms. The food was warm at best. Our server apologized for the bartender making a seasonal cocktail with orange juice instead of the apple juice it required, which they apparently ran out of. They should have just told us. We just expected more from a $300+ lunch when it’s not very busy. May very well be the end of our tradition. 😢
My fiance and I chose Seasons 52 for our Thanksgiving dinner because we have been to the restaurant numerous times and the food, service, and ambiance have always been excellent. Unfortunately, that was not quite the case this time. The food was good, but the service was slow and unprofessional, in addition, our table was in a very poor location that was very uncomfortable. We were seated outside, which was expected, but the table was by the patio exit, that had to stay open, and the table was a high top, placing us directly at the wind level and it was pretty chilly that evening. Our server said we could be reseated, but instead, our table was moved about a foot further away from the exit, and closer to the heat lamp that was provided to the table behind us. Then, on a final note, our bill was not properly calculated and we were almost overcharged. Our server did correct the bill, but by then, our visit was already tainted.
If this had been our first time at Seasons 52, we probably wouldn't go back, but since we know that the restaurant is usually so much better than this experience, we will be return customers.
The large exterior terrace has a welcoming ambiance and offers a variety of 4-top and larger tables offering flexibility for small and large groups. We unfortunately were seated at a 4-top where seating was not originally intended to be located. The table was tightly squeezed between building, canopy columns, service access door/aisle and the server station. There was no ambiance or view. As we had a reservation for the exterior terrace, we kindly asked the hostess to relocate us to one of a half dozen open 4-tops with better ambiance and were rudely told that they were balancing tables and wait staff. Within a half hour all the exterior tables were seated.
Thanksgiving dinner at seasons 52 was outstanding, and the server was superb! Dinner came quickly and we enjoyed every bite!
Food was great and our server, Allie, was fantastic! Thanks for a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner!
This will be our new Thanksgiving tradition! Every single part of the meal was delicious from start to finish. We loved the inspired seasonal cocktails and indulged on the tasty desserts. It couldn’t have been any better!
Good job on serving Thanksgiving dinner to big crowd. Should serve those rolls all the time!!
Salmon was tasty, potatoes were good, but green beans were near ambient temperature and stringy and butternut squash soup was just OK.
Wine (a French Sauvignon Blanc) was mediocre -- not up to previous S.B. from South Africa.
Service was very good.
Seasons 52 is usually reliably good for 4 stars or more - I'll chalk up this 3 star rating to Thanksgiving Day pressures.
Thanksgiving meal was awesome. The server and staff were great and attentive as well. One of our favorite places in SD
Perfect outdoor seating.
Well covered to block the Sun.
Food was good.
Service was great.
Prices were reasonable.
Limited menu. Mainly seafood.
Wish they had more options for non seafood diners.
Seabass plate & truffle risotto are my faves
Table, glasses, and utensils were filthy. Service was terrible. Early evening manager is completely incompetent and the food has gone downhill over the last ~6 months. Never coming back.
Skip Korean beef. No longer valet at lunch, parking difficult for elderly customers.
Roasted artichokes were undercooked and could not be cut with a knife. Gnocchi was hard. Chicken was dry.
Celebrating our sons engagement
Soup was cold twice, asked for chamomile tea and they brought African something or other, waiter started off fantastic but clearly became frustrated and short when the soup was sent back twice, beginning to justify that he had it microwaved so it should've been hot. It wasn't. Other than that it was a lovely anniversary...
I write a number of reviews on Seasons 52, where I frequently eat lunch or dinner. Both are outstanding! The lunch offers a great value with a special luncheon menu where I often have a half-flatbread and soup -- always delicious. This time I welcomed back to San Diego a dear friend and we share the lobster flatbread, the cedar-planked salmon and a yummy dessert, along with a nice bottle of wine. It just just excellent! And I always get my favorite table, which makes it even more special.
We had a reservation via Open Table, and it was quite crowded at the reception desk when we got there. We waited our turn and the receptionist walked us to and It was totally unacceptable. Please don’t there’s several different dining areas that you can eat at, and the one that “back“ of the restaurantIs is my least favorite
one. Long story short we ended up eating in a small booth in the bar. We had a wonderful waitress who was very friendly and outgoing. Helped us with the menu and paced the mail perfectly.
We started with the mushroom flatbread that was excellent. The bread wasn’t heavy at all, more like a cracker, and there were plenty of mushrooms. We next had the yellow big salad wish I had a scale of 1 to 10 I would give a sex, but it was delicious and we ate it willingly. Finally my wife had the scallops and I had the filet mignon. Both items were prepared with a lot of care.
You can’t go to this restaurant without having one of their small desserts. It’s perfect with coffee and a great topper to a wonderful meal. Besides the wrangling over seating, We had an excellent dining experience. Next time when I make the open table reservation I will note I wanna booth in the bar..
Great cocktails and selection of entrees. Always a great go to place for a good meal.
Great foof as always
I have eaten here many times. This time we were seated right next to the bar, but with an open wall that you could hear everything the hostess was saying. It was like being in confession, she was so close…so I will make sure never to sit there again.
The food was great as always.
Sam our waiter did a great job. The food was delicious and hot. My red sangria was jummy. We will go back for more Happy hours
The food is consistently good and reasonably priced. We dine @ S-52 at least monthly, and we're seldom disappointed.
Meal was great! The beet salad was wonderful, the avocado toast as well! Staff was courteous and attentive ~ Thanks Seasons
As always, wonderful food that's consistently delicious. Our server was very nice and very attentive...made our anniversary dinner even better!
Thank you for bringing back the current presentation of the chilean seabass. The wild rice is very good, but we'd love to have the forbidden rice with it again.
The trout was perfect, my husband's favorite. Our friends had the pork chop and filet and lobster tail and loved their meals.
PLEASE bring back the macchiato dessert.
We love Seasons 52 and will be back soon!
We always look forward to an evening at Seasons. It was a perfect night to be outside. Food was delicious, service nice. Only distraction was the loud music that they were not able to turn down. Also, wine prices seem to be escalated.
Food was very good. The Butternut Squash soup was very good and the trout was excellent. Our waiter, a young man named Niles, needs more experience but is doing well and trying very hard. He is well mannered, helpful, and pleasant.
The quality of the food wasn't up to its usual standards. The beans were overcooked, and the steak in the steak salad undercooked and not very good. Hopefully it was only a fluke, as we like the restaurant.
