We came with our in-laws to celebrate the birth of our twin grandsons. As it was the week of Christmas, it was very busy, but we were immediately shown to our table. Our server, Anna, even brought us each a glass of champagne to celebrate. Our food was delicious-as always, however our carmelized scallops with risotto and butternut squash didn't have and squash, so Anna brought us some on the side. That made it so much better. Husband's chicken was beautifully presented and delicious, and the pasta the other grandpa ordered was, as always, wonderful. This restaurant chain is one of our favorites for a good reason-you never get a bad meal, no matter where you dine. Looking forward to another return visit soon!
Great restaurant, had great waitress, she gsve us excellent service for a party of four. The food tasted great as well, however chefs are not good at making well done meat dishes. But once waitress noticed the order was not perfect she spoke with chef and chef came out and redid the dish. They did not charge for their mistake. Overall a 4,5 star rating and we will go back again. Cheers
Once again they do not disapoint and the wine section keeps getting better!
We let the waitress know we had a time constraint and two of the four of us ordered soup and salad. The food for the other two of us was delivered, but the two cups of soup took 30 minutes. Despite the fact that we had asked that the soups and salads be delivered at the same time, we were still waiting for the salads 45 minutes into our visit having asked for them three times. They didn't come. We finally just asked for the check and paid in cash so we could leave without more delay.
Once again they didn't disapoint and our server Drew was excellent. Thanks and keep up the great work!
Great dining experience as always. It's such a "go to" place for me whether I'm with one other person or with a group. My only wish is that they would expand their vegetarian menu and have more organic options.
We went to Seasons 52 for the first time on Friday night and liked it so much we cancelled our Saturday reservations and returned to Seasons 52 - this is now our favorite for special night out. Great service, wonderful ambiance, exceptional food beautifully served. Everything we ordered including cocktails, appetizers, entrée and dessert were perfect. We can't think of one negative thing to say about this fantastic restaurant.
Yvette our server was very knowledgeable and friendly. She made the dining experience even better! Great food, reasonable prices, And the staff is always friendly. From desserts to small plates to a very extensive wine list. Great spot to relax and also people watch, Also look out for the guy at the piano bar around dinner time. Seasons 52 is a must!
My server Tatianna, guided me through the two menus and provided great recommendations. She ensured I had everything I needed invited me back to dine at her station again. I started by ordering a small plate from the Sunset at Seasons 52 (happy hour) menu, the perfectly medium-rare Kona-crusted lollipop lamb chops were so delicious accompanied by a glass of Mirassou 2012 California Pinot Noir.
From the Chef’s Recommendations for fresh grill (new and fresh as of December 2nd) portion of the menu, I chose the Nantucket Bay scallops with Meyer lemon and ricotta ravioli, brown butter and micro arugula. Oh was that delicious. I wanted to lick the butter from the plate. I accompanied my entree with a glass of Cakebread Cellars 2012 Napa Valley Chardonnay to freaking die for. For dessert I chose a seasonal pumpkin pie and ginger snap mousse mini.
I love Seasons 52 but am not a foodie, and generally order the same thing. My friend (major foodie) ordered the beet salad and was shocked that it had no greens and frankly, was a less than generous portion. Recommend wait persons be instructed to so advise customers if this dish is ordered. The majority of my food experiences at Seasons 52 have been excellent. This is just a heads up on a particular dish.
We have dined here several times and have mostly liked our experience. The last two times we were some what disapointed. The main problem is noise from the bar. The mic should be taken away from the singer. The last time we were far away from the bar but could hardly hear one another. Tone it down. The noise was terrible. Both of us are not "big" eaters so I asked for the meal to be split --- salad and the main course. The salad and the main course came to the table and the waiter said we could split it. What? Disappointed the food was taken back to the kitchen and split. How hard is that? Our waiter was nice but talked in a rapid fashion and he was hard to understand. Slow down please. We are not in a race. We came for a nice quiet and slow dining experience. Food was fine but not up to what we've experienced in the past. Maybe it's the holidays throwing you off.
Of course, we'll be back and hope for a quiet evening. By the way the wine was great.
While I like a booth, I don't like to be seated near kitchen, which they often do to women. We had a reservation and also had to wait at least 10 mins., which when it is lunch during business hours is not cool. We got steak fries appetizer w/ 2 sauces--1 great but other watered down A1 and fries were not very hot and not crispy. Steak salad was good and they divided it for us, which is always nice. Not so chicken skewers and slaw, which I'd loved before but found overcooked this time and tough. Our wait person was disengaged; I recall trying ask her about happy hour as she walked away. It was my birthday and she said she would be happy to comp me a dessert, but it came without candle or good wishes. I'd raved to my friend about this place, who was treating me, but I know she was not impressed and may hesitate to return. I might think twice as well. You are always crowded and maybe you are not paying attention to your standards because you don't think you need to, but you will lose business if you don't keep up the qulaity and service.
The Seasons 52 concept provide great tasting food while keeping the calorie count down. The uses of seasonings really brings out the flavor of food with out over powering. While I don't go there often, I really enjoy it when I do.
A friend and I celebrated my birthday here. The restaurant and our waitress pulled out all the goodies: free champagne, dessert and a note of birthday wishes. It was really special. Now I want to spend all my birthdays here.
We dine there at least twice a monht.
The trout is fabulouos.
We eat here almost every Sunday because the food and the service is consistent and delicious.
Their menu is varied....we just wish they would bring back the butterscotch pudding dessert!!!!!!
Staff very cocky and not respectful of client. Extremely slow, even though late at night.
The girl that served our drinks told us she was too weak and could not open the top of the martini shaker... Then she cannot be in that position.
Staff supervision was non existent.
Lamb chops were very tough to cut, even with the special knife.
Brancino was good
This is not the first time we have dined there, and will not be going back for dinner.
We enjoyed a delicious light dinner!
The flat breads are varied and very tasty--we enjoyed the steak and blue cheese combination.
The vegetarian soup was perfectly seasoned and fresh.
The seared tuna salad was a favorite.
We also enjoyed several of the yummy desserts.
Coffee was fresh and delicious.
We will be back!
My husband and I dine at Seasons 52 regularly and are never disappointed with our meals.
Despite being very busy as would be expected on Thanksgiving, the staff was very efficient, organized, pleasant and professional. Food was excellently prepared and presented. I would definitely recommend this restaurant for Thanksgiving Dinner. The portions were reasonable in size. Left feeling comfortably full and happy.
Typically I enjoy seasons. Their meals are tasty and very responsible with calorie count. I visited on thanksgiving and I was really disappointed. The turkey was so dry, the stuffing was essentially French bread cut up with seasoning , the cranberry was on the sour side and the green beans and yams were essentially raw. Majo let down, I love seasons most of the time, however they faltered on a major day.
The staff was overworked and the food was good but not wow.
We went for thanksgiving dinner. The food was good, but the portions were surprisingly small. We also noticed that a family that arrived after us got served first. We were continually waiting for things.
We went for Thanksgiving dinner. The food was excellent and the portions were good. We even had leftovers... Even though they were very busy our waitress checked on us several times. We never had the feeling that the restaurant was trying to turn the tables.
We will be back again.
It was hard to find restaurants open for Thanksgiving. Luckily Seasons 52 was open. We booked through Open Table which saved us from a long, long wait. They were quite busy, but they did a pretty good job of servicing us in a timely manner and the food was pretty good. I'm guessing the food would be even better if it wasn't so busy. They accommodated my two young children with their food needs as well, by letting us customize the dishes.
The portion of turkey was generous, but the meat was a bit on the dry side. The dressing was most peculiar, large lumps of bread with no flavor. The green beans were fine but not hot. We choose the pinot noir from New Zealand, Kim Crawford, which we enjoyed.
Our family celebrated Thanksgiving at Seasons 52. When I made the reservation I thought our family would select the pre-fixe Thanksgiving meal. Hummmm much to my surprise we all chose seasonal delights other than the pre-fixe menu. It was delicious and everyone was completely satisfied with their individual meals. We will dine at Seasons again - it's our neighborhood favorite!
Not a cheap price for the Thanksgiving dinner, but I really got my money's worth. The service was wonderful, and the food was excellent. They were flexible with the desserts. I will comeback in the future.
The food was obvioously plated far in advance, and was cold! The meal was place in front of us within 1 minuute of ordering....the rolls were watery in the pan...not good. I have enjoyed Season 52 for lunch, but will never return for a holiday meal.
Thanksgiving was not up to their usual standard of excellence.
I've had the pleasure of dining at the Seasons 52 in Costa Mesa, CA numerous times (for both personal and business engagements) and each experience has been fantastic.
I recently dined at the Seasons 52 in La Jolla, CA for their traditional Thanksgiving dinner and while the service was very prompt and friendly, the food was unfortunately not a strength of the experience. To clarify, the appetizers from the main menu were exceptional (flatbreads); the turkey , stuffing and meat in the chili soup, however, was extremely dry.
I would definitely dine at the restaurant again - was just underwhelmed with the taste of the traditional Thanksgiving meal.
Our table of three all ordered the cedar planked salmon. It was just amazing. The flavor, tenderness,it was truly wonderful.
We were hoping to have a 'quiet' table in the back room of the otherwise 'energetic vibe'. That would be a lovely addition to the restaurant...a 'quiet' room.
We really enjoy the piano playing in the bar. It adds a whole new level to the enjoyment. I really enjoy the Rainbow Trout entree.
I would definitely reommend this restaurant, it has a great atmosphere, exceptional staff, good food. lots of choices and extremely fresh. dessert , nice touch.
From the moment we walked through the door, we were Welcomed! From the front desk to the serving staff, everyone was friendly and appreciated our being there. We never felt rushed to hurry through our meal. My son enjoyed his Birthday celebration. We'll be back!
This is a fantastic place to celebrate a special occasion. They make the honored guest feel very special, from the birthday card to the champagne to the special dessert. Our server, Sean was very attentive, friendly and helpful. Oh, I almost forgot, he even took a picture of our group and gave one to each guest. Thank you.
Consistently good food and ambience, but most importantly, the great service. Excellent at acknowledging birthdays.
Love this restaurant but can be hard to get a table (best if one plan's ahead and makes a reservations. Food is always delicious and very fresh. Ambiance is great. Moderate noise level so that one is able to have good conversation.
The staff, decor and quality of food were excellent! (Restaurant can get a bit noisy.)
