Good food, consistently!
Probably they are having trouble getting enough help? Service was very slow and spotty, with servers needing to be flagged down to get attention. The indoor eating area had a pronounced "fishy" smell: not appetizing! We chose an outdoor table, and it was lovely.
Still one of my favorite spots for fresh, healthy dining options!
Our meal was wonderful and our server Wade was amazing!! I had the sea bass and my husband had the steak and lobster it was all wonderful! We will be back
The ambience was very nice both inside and out and not too noisy. The restaurant looks very inviting-elegant but cozy. Our waiter was well informed about the food and very helpful in ordering-great service too.
The flatbread appetizer was great and if I return I would order just that.
The salmon salad was a big disappointment: overly dressed so greens were soggy, strong tasting salmon, blistered bell peppers had the skin peeling off them so unpleasant to eat.
Prices are pretty high and not commensurate with food quality.
Always delicious food and great service 🥰
My wife and I frequent this restaurant, except when precluded by Covid. The food is great and the service generally excellent. This time we celebrated our wedding anniversary and the restaurant gratuitously provided complimentary desert and a Prosecco toast. Nice touch.
Dinner with friends was excellent ! Dined on patio noise level was minimal Service was great
We are a regular group of four friends who love this place and come quite often to eat here. Usually everything is 100% and we have absolutely no complaints.
However, last night there were some glitches and I feel compelled to share them, not to be nasty, but to point out the bad with the good when it happens.
My wife had requested a steak with mushrooms on the side, as she doesn't like them, and by having them on the side, the rest of the table could share them. Well, her meal came with the mushrooms mixed in with the sauce as normal, and had not been separated. They took her plate back to the kitchen and the rest of us were halfway through our meals when she got her replacement. Not good.
I had asked for my steak to be done medium well, but it came out completely well done. Not what I would have expected from this restaurant.
Two of us asked for cappuchinos. They came stone cold. Not warm, but actually cold. They were replaced with hot ones after we complained. Those were great!
Now, to be completely fair, the managing partner of the restaurant, Pedro, stepped up and made things right for us. We were comped a good portion of our meal. I will not specify exactly what, because I don't think I should. He also gave us a couple of gift cards towards a future meal which we sincerely appreciated. We did not expect him to do this, but we appreciated the gesture
I pointed out to him that we were not trying to score free food, but rather pointing out that a restaurant which we all love and frequent, let us down this one time, and that we would absolutely keep coming back. We felt we had an obligation to point out when they had dropped the ball. We have complimented them in the past when they have been excellent. He appreciated what we told him, and we left grateful that they had taken the criticism in good faith and admitted they had made some mistakes.
It is only because we really love this place that I have decided to write this critical opinion.
We had a reservation for an outdoor table but the head waiter put us at an indoor table where it was dark and smelled like a dank bowling alley. After we ordered, we decided to see what outside tables looked like and we switched to an empty table outside which was much more pleasant.
After we met our new waiter and ordered our starters, the manager came over and scolded us for taking this table because it was "reserved" by some people who always sit there. There was no reserved sign on the table. Luckily, we were allowed to stay where we were since there were quite a few outdoor tables available.
The ahi tuna appetizer was delicious. All dishes and my mojito were great. Excellent service from Wade our waiter.
As always the food was delicious! I had the sea bass without the glaze and it was cooked to perfection and so flavorful! I look forward to dining with you again!
It would be five stars all the way except they no longer serve my favorite dish-/the vegetarian plank. Our dinner nevertheless was delicious, Bd the service perfect.
Lunch at Season's 52 in University Town Center location in La Jolla, CA. Lynn took excellent care of us; timely, friendly service. Try the lobster puree, or the flatbread. They no longer have the beef flatbread (was a personal favorite), but the chicken was tasty. Good wine list.
Great food and service, good atmosphere, a bit overpriced but hey right?
Great service and food.
We celebrated a college graduation. All special requests were honored. Outstanding food and exceptional service from Michele.
Great place for ever day lunch/dinner with friends and family.
Price is good and quality is very good as well as the servers are really nice and knowledgeable of the menu
First gathering since the lockdown. Very distanced. Tables were well spaced. Great food
Our server was great. There was a new hostess in training that wasn’t very keen on customer service. She was also very light on personality. Especially for a hostess.
Tried the new rotisserie chicken dish. Chicken was dry and a bit overdone.
We were on the patio, surrounded by tables with kids running around and screaming. Very disruptive.
awesome food as always!! first time back since covid!! so happy
I go just for their salmon on cedar plank lunch . Only disappointed when they aren’t serving the seasonal corn risotto with it. Always moist and consistent quality
Always consistent foodwise!
As usual service and food are above average. Yesterday. They were remiss on clenliness. Our seating area had debris on the floor. Hadn't been recenty swept.
Good food, they are very accommodating for special requests! Our server, Lynn, was very special, realized one of our party required special attention and took care of it without making it obvious. Thank you!
Everything was spectacular except the Woodgrill Filet Mignon with shiitake mushrooms. It was really salty. I couldn't consume the mushrooms which are my favorite because they are just too salty. And the meat weren't "melted in your mouth" because it wasn't true medium rare like I had requested. But the Ahi Tuna Tatare, asparagus soup, and the caramelized scalloos wetter great.
Strawberry Basil Martini was very refreshing. I recommended. Service was great. Our server, Delaney, was very friendly and professional.
Make a reservation to ensure you will be able to be seated especially for larger parties. Nice fine dining experience in a little more casual atmosphere.
Food is consistently great and price super reasonable.
The food was delicious. The hostess and waiters are all very courteous and helpful. The nice thing about this restaurant is to also ask for validation before you leave the restaurant. Other restaurants in the UTC doesn't have the options for validation. This is must go restaurant you can always come to and never get sick of it.
New job celebration dinner
Excellent! The food and drinks were perfect! We love Seasons 52 and wish the downtown location never closed. Definitely will be returning.
Birthday dinner celebration for our friends’ get together. The food and service were excellent.
Great dining experience for both lunch and dinner -- exceptional food for the price.
Excellent service from all of the wait staff from beginning to end. Our waitress Phoebe was so accommodating and had excellent menu suggestions! We definitely would return!
food was great. everything was delicious and service was quick
Lobster tail very small
Service was great, our service Sam was attentive and polite. The food was great, brought on time. Employees worked well together. Gave complimentary champagne to celebrate my husband’s birthday. One our favorite places to eat.
Always a great experience -- great service, delicious and well presented menu
We just keep coming back! It's one of our favorites!
Everything about it was wonderful, from the moment we walked into the restaurant to the food and the service. Superb. Our first experience dining out since covid.
