Seasons 52 San Diego - Seaport District Ratings and Reviews
We were in and out in 45 minutes - the server rushed us through...on our anniversary (which we told them, but they never acknowledged).
The vegetable dish was undercooked and had no flavor. White rice, plain broccoli, a Kohlrabi steak and spaghetti squash.
This place used to be awesome. I don’t know what changed, but I’ve talked to several people who’ve had the same experience recently. We won’t be back.
Tonight we enjoyed taking our dear friends to Seasons 52 before our performance at the Old Globe. We all loved our meals, the ambiance, and our attentive waiter. We were seated right on time and the service was fantastic!
We will look forward to our next visit!0
This was our second time here and they did not disappioint. They graciously handled our group of 8 creating a great dining experience for all. There are so many options for food and our gluten free guests were thrilled at their choices. Would highly recommend.
We were a little late making our reservation but it was no problem and were seated right away. Food and service was good. Extensive wine list and special menu items for us both - having different tastes. Atmosphere and valet parking was very nice and accommodating.
The food was expertly prepared and delivered to the table in a reasonable time. The waiter was fantastic as were the other supporting dining room staff. Exactly as I would expect from Seasons 52. However, the hostesses had a negative attitude and although they were scantily dressed, they shouldn’t be the front end for a franchise of this caliber. They would be a better match for a fern bar or Appleby’s. When we walked in (no reservation) they said it was a 35-40 minute wait. We watched for 10 minutes as they hassled other guests who had reservations, but seated them eventually. I decided to hop on the OpenTable app and make a reservation for our party that was in 5 minutes. After making the reservation I mentioned to the mean girls at the front that we now has a reservation and they told us that we would still have to wait a while. However a few minutes later they seated us. Not sure what magic is needed for a seamless seating experience at this location at Seasons 52, but I would definitely send a few secret shoppers by to experience what we experienced at the hostess stand. It would be easy to remove the thorns in this otherwise fine dining experience if anyone gave a darn.
New Years Day: Usually dine at Seasons UTC Store. However this meal at Headquarters was Not good. One Guest ordered hamburger rare and it came medium well. Waitress was suffering from larangitis (sp) and was not doing well so we did not ask for another burger . My trout was very dry and tasteless. Coffee was tepid. Other meals were not up to standard Restaurant was 3/4 empty so no reason the food was so pedestrian. It all starts in the kitchen and the server shd inquire about customer satisfaction.
First visit to this location. Ate at Costa Mesa location a few weeks ago. Entrees are wonderful with. Creative sides. Desserts are perfect for wonderful flavors and small sizes after a dinner that was enjoyed but needed just a bite of sweet. Highly recommend. Will become a regular.
