Seasons 52 - Roosevelt Field Ratings and Reviews
Usually this is a good restaurant but the last time on a Sunday night they seemed like they just weren’t into it. We ordered quickly but still it took over an hour to get her food and the burger had to go back twice. The first time it was extremely well done the second time it came out so rare that the middle look like uncooked ground beef. Hard to believe a good chef can’t get a burger right with two attempts.
We had a reservation for 9:00pm but waited 10 minutes to be seated. I had the New York strip which was very good but one of the sides was very under cooked green beans and looked like it had been scraps from the green beans they were supposed to serve. Lacking in presentation. We had a great waiter though. Prices may not be worth it.
Every time I come here everything is superb and amazing. This time, I felt like I needed to go out of my way (via this review) to commend the professionalism and demeanor of our server, Xavier. Not only did he know the menu by heart, but he was a true gentleman that made us feel like family from start to finish. This is exactly the same customer service every customer should always receive in order to rave about a food establishment. Xavier was the icing on the cake after a before, during and after a great meal. I also have to commend the fact that this place always seems to honor reservations and you get seated within minutes of your arrival no matter how busy they are! Kudos to the service team and making me and my friends feel like a million bucks. Officially, this is now my new favorite place. Btw, food is exquisite including shrimp, salads, strip or filet mignon, chicken, seafood, flatbreads, dessert shots — everything is amazing. Love, love & love!! Cant wait to go back!! Can someone give that Xavier a bonus please?
Though Seasons 52 is crowded on a Saturday night, we only waited 10 minutes past our reservation to be seated. Our waiter, Willy, was friendly and attentive. We all had selections from their Harvest Pre Fixe menu. Everything was delicious. I highly recommend the plank cooked salmon and roasted root vegetables. Our table was in their back room, so It was a quiet spot. It was a very enjoyable evening.
Saturday was my first real meal at Seasons 52 (I had come when they first opened years ago for a baby shower--the menu was sparse and undeveloped but the food was tasty). So this was pretty much my first real meal at the restaurant and it was superb. I ordered off the Fall Prix Fixe Menu and got the filet mignon, which I could literally cut with my fork it was so tender. And the stoneground cheese grits were kissed by angels. LOL Chris was my server and he was awesome--courteous, helpful and all of his recommendations were on point. He reminded me of a good friend so we hit it off immediately. LOL The food is fresh, hot and super tasty. I will definitely be back. My only regret is that I didn't book a table here sooner.
Seasons 52 has wonderful food, I am never disappointed when we go there. I have been there several times and I love that the menu changes and is based upon what foods are in season and presented so that the flavors blend perfectly.
I chose to write a review though because our waitress was amazing! Her name was Jenny. She has got to be one of the friendliest and efficient waitresses ever! Not only did she do her job superbly, I felt like we should invite her to Thanksgiving after meeting her! She is fabulous!
have dined at other season 52 restaurants and while not a fan of most chain restaurants this one is outstanding....never had a bad meal.....the one in roosevelt field is rated #1 restaurant in garden city and the reviews are all right on target.........loved the special harvest dinner including appetizer main entree and dessert at very reasonable price.....waiter was very helpful and friendly and the food was outstanding.....reservations recommended and valet parking is free
Almost 5 stars
Every thing was great except we didn’t water for the table. Had to ask several times including refill. The restaurant needs a person to fill water glass & give out bread. We tried the harvest menu $29 including pear & spinach big salad, garden salad & delicious mushroom bisque. The filet & short ribs were really tender. The mini dessert was a couple of spoonful but tasty. Wish the dessert portion little bigger cup. The $6 wine was ok. But the restaurant does have a great selection of wine. I would go back to try different dish from the harvest menu.
Our reservation was for 6pm and we were seated exactly 6pm. Our waiter Andrew was awesome, friendly ,personable and checked on us quite a few times throughout dinner. Stuffed mushroom appetizer was bland but the pear salad and salmon entree I had was delicious. My husband had the filet mignon and it was cooked perfectly. Would definitely go back .
We enjoyed fall harvest during restaurant week at Seasons 52. Both my friend and I ordered the beef short ribs which was delicious. Equally as good was the scrumptious spinach salad with roasted pear and glazed walnuts. I would go back to have that meal again.
My Birthday celebration was Perfect...Drinks, Food, Service was as usual ALL Wonderful!
Plus I received a very nice B-Day card from The Management for which I'm deeply thankful for.
See all my friends (The Professional & very personal Staff of Seasons 52) real soon.
Thanks again Everyone!
the ambience is warm and welcoming. The dark woods, subdued lighting, pleasant and comfortable seating all contribute to making the restaurant a pleasant place for a healthy, nicely prepared meal. The staff is attentive, the service excellent and the menu changes every season. An excellent choice for dinner for 2, or with friends.
I've been going to Seasons at least once a week for the past month...sometimes twice! Love their recent addition of the 2 glasses of wine with a flatbread for $15...what a deal! Usually follow this up with a wonderful salad from the menu or a couple of small plates from the Happy Hour menu. Our server Kate who was working the bar and a couple of tables our last visit was phenomenal...love her! I'm hooked on Seasons as are our family and friends we've gone there with. Keep up the good work Seasons 52 Roosevelt Field.
