Seasons 52 - Orlando Ratings and Reviews
When “greeted” by the hostess, we did not get a warm welcome. It almost seemed that we annoyed her when checking in.
The service at the table was a different story though and our server was friendly. Food was good and I enjoy that it is nutritional conscious, without being considered “light” or “diet food.”
I was in town for a business venture, and as I used to live close and enjoyed this place I thought I'd find a great meal there. Arriving 10 minutes early I waited for the receptionist to chat with friends for 5 to 10 minutes I was acknowledged and ushered to a seat in the bar area booths. Often one gets poor service and treatment eating as a single and it seems this was the start. After a while the waitress came over and was quite pleasant in greeting me and asking what I'd like to start with. A beer was ordered with the mention that I would have a wine with my meal and as I perused the menu it became apparent that it may be a poor choice of venue. 15 minutes later and with very few seats taken my beer arrived and I asked for suggestions as to what looked good tonight and their specialties. I took up the suggestion of the pork tenderloin (cooked medium as they suggested), as I often cook it and enjoy it so wanted another take on it from a true chef. A very long wait ensued without my waitress stopping over and then the server from the kitchen delivered my meal. My wine choice was still not addressed.. The meal was attractively placed on the plate and looked good......until the first bite. The dreaded overcooked pork took over and as a choice of any beverage had not been addressed I searched for my long gone server. Finally finding her, I made my wine choice which was delivered after another 10 or 15 minutes of eating dry overcooked pork. Not once was I asked how my meal was, which normally is the practice after the first bite or two. I finally forced down the long awaited meal upon which she finally returned. She commented on how it was gone so I must have liked it......my response was more to the point that it was terrible, and please bring the check. Another 10 minutes gone by made me finally go to the desk and request it and pay. Bad choice, terrible service, overcooked meal made me regret not eating at my hotel. Stay away as they really have gone downhill.
Seasons 52, you never let me down! We don’t have a Seasons 52 in our city, but make a point to find one nearby whenever we travel. We love the ambiance, service is always good and food delicious. Our selections from the Harvest Menu were all incredible....salmon, lamb and short ribs, as well as the salads and soups we chose. We love the tiny desserts, just a couple of bites is all we want and can choose the one we want and not share. Orlando Seasons 52 hit on all accounts! We will return when in the area!
Great place to meet up with an old friend for Brunch that was visiting from out of town. Service and brunch selection was excellent. I love champagne, but cannot drink mimosa. The waitress checked and they honored the same price for just champagne. My guest and I had the frittata which was light, but very filling.
They have a vegan menu yet they seem to be very confused about what a vegan meal is. I ordered off the vegan menu and made sure that I made it clear I was vegan. The waiter came back and said the chef said the flat bread that I ordered was made with eggs. I was glad for the catch but couldn't understand why it was on the vegan menu. This happened again with something else that I ordered from the vegan menu. Then my meal came out with cheese on it. They made it right and the food was good but they need to figure it out.
Very unhappy. Went for the Harvest Menu, 3 of us. Started off bad, 2 ordered the Harvest wine, out of it. Wife ordered the spinach/pear salad. Pear had a stem on one piece. I ordered the Mushroom Bisque, it wasn't a Bisque, it was mushrooms in a thin mushroom flavored broth. It was as if someone forgot to add the cream. Main dishes, 2 out of 3 were not 'good'. Wife and daughter ordered the Filet. Wife's was sort of 'broken strands' with fat and gristle in it, daughters was fine. My Lamb Shank didn't have what the waiter describe as a side and she describe what the web site showed. String beans vs. Brussels sprouts, no big deal, but the Lamb had a layer of fat over it which I had to remove to actually eat it. It was basically tasteless as was my wife's Filet. Daughter's was fine though? Yes, we should have called the waitress over, but she never came back. She did for desert and we told her about my wife's filet and she said she'd talk to the chef. Wive left over about 20% if the filet. We didn't want anything for it but thought they should know. Absence of the waitress was the more annoying part. The whole meal was a disappointment from the wine not being available (wonder if we ordered off the regular menu @ $17 it would have been vs. $6 on the Harvest men) to the actual food. I don't think we'll be back (4th time eating there).
Took my 19 year old vegetarian daughter there for her birthday. Went because they had a vegetarian and vegan menu. They mentioned all the great fall vegetables (butternut squash, mushrooms, broccolini) which were not on their vegan menu. The vegan paella they served was not for me or anyone else at the table that tasted it. Since I'm vegan the spaghetti squash which was buttered had to be eliminated from my plate. Don't they know there's vegan butter? Just wish that a restaurant that bills itself as "healthy" would focus a little more on the growing number of plant-based diners. Did get a nice glass of red wine and the service was decent. Deserts are great but there was nothing without butter or cream other than berries.
Seasons 52 is one of our favorite restaurants. We used to live in Orlando and dined there often. We now live in the villages, about an hour away so came in with friends for "magical dining". I am trying to eat healthier and seasons 52, fits that...but I think one mini indulgence is enough for desert.
Seasons 52 is often our “Go to Place” for special occasions. This week we dined there on my wife’s birthday and it was excellent. We chose from items on the Fall Harvest selection; we loved it all...beverages, pear salad, entrees of salmon & the most tender beef filet, mini-desserts. Over the top!
