Seasons 52 - Oak Brook Ratings and Reviews
We were meeting here for annual holiday gift exchange. It was my friend's birthday as well, so the server gave us an additional dessert and photograph cards of all of us. Nice touch!
I had requested a corner booth table, and we were seated in the bar area. It was loud and and animated, but this fit our group's needs, and actually added to the party atmosphere. Add in the terrific happy hour specials for drinks and apps and we were in heaven!
Good food, wine and beer, and festive ambience - thanks Open Table and Seasons 52!
Good food, excellent service by Isaac, but VERY disorganized front desk operation and NOT FRIENDLY.
I made an open table reservation weeks in advance but when I checked in at the host stand I was told by a very unfriendly hostess with not a hint of a smile: "No I don't have your name here for a reservation." When I insisted and started to show my phone with the email confirmation to the host staff, another hostes said "oh it must be over here on another computer" - and sure enough they had it and someone showed our group to our table.
There were several groups waiting to be seated and the host staff seemed quite overwhelmed. I know I felt very unwelcome with this negative approach by the staff.
In addition, we arrived at our booth and realized coats would need to be checked. So I dragged coats back to the host stand and asked if there was a coat check. I was told yes, we can check your coats and took care of it. Usually, a host asks if guests want to check coats before taking guests to a table, but this was not done. Again, very disorganized and showed little concern for guests.
Overall, I was sorry I chose Seasons 52 for our party of 4 to celebrate our annual holiday gathering. We'll go back to Francesca's next year.
My wife and I consider this our favorite restaurant. We love a late lunch or dinner here any time we can. Any chance we get we will ask friends to join us and they gave always been very pleased with their experience.
My personal fav is the rainbow trout. Any of the flatbreads plus the green salad makes an great lunch! Add a sweet indulgent dessert shooter and you've made any meal an occasion!
And we have found the same great food and service at any of their locations.
I have wanted to try Seasons 52 for a while now and finally got a chance to go there. Our party of 4 all enjoyed really good food from appetizers through dessert. Our service started a little slow but then improved to exceptional. I would definitely recommend
was not at all happy about where we were seated , but did not want to wait as I has reservations // we were seated right in the flow of traffic not a good place to have a table at all I think for anyone.. we came there for my birthday in May and had a totally different experience. This time I would have to say that we were truly disappointed in a lot of things. Sorry
The seating arrangement needs to be changed. Seats are very close. I am not sure how this is right from Fire code. If any emergency people will not be able to get out. Also table privacy is non existent. I was not able to hold conversation with out being overheard by the next table as vise verse. Please reduce the # tables. They are very close to each other’s.
We sometimes stop for dinner after shopping and even had a birthday celebration there in the past. This time I called for a reservation from the mall and was told no openings. Just for fun I went to open table and there were openings. My manhattan took 20+ minutes and tasted awful. We were told the bar was backed up. My line of sight to the bar saw the 3 bartenders chatting and not moving very fast. The appetizers came out with the main course. My crab cake was a mush mess. It looked like they poured it out of blender. Luckally the dessert shots were up to standards so we ran the lot to make up for a bad dinner. Next time we’ll eat somewhere else before we go shopping.
The menu at Season 52 is always interesting and creative. Our reservation did not show up as having been made, but the hostess still found a place for us. Staff is attentive and accommodating. It’s a three hour drive for us, but we always make it a point to eat there when we are in Oakbrook.
The hosts were very helpful and friendly, even though we had a large group that arrived late for a smaller reservation. None of my guests had been to Seasons 52 before but loved it. Food was excellent and we had a quiet spot for our party of 11 in the Caneros room. The flatbreads were a nice group appetizer and the steak, Salmon and other entrees were fabulous that night!
Went to dinner with my mom after shopping. My mother has a garlic allergy which proves to be a bit challenging when dining out. We notified our server, Steven. He immediately went to talk with Chef Elizabeth. She came out and talked with my mom and checked over ingredients in order to make sure her food would be garlic free. Chef Elizabeth was patient and caring during a busy dinner service. Steven was attentive without being overbearing. The food was fresh, creative, delicious, and outstanding. The manager came by later to make sure my mom was taken care of and had no issues. I would not hesitate on going back.
