Seasons 52 - Oak Brook Ratings and Reviews
We were seated 25 minutes late. Got no water until we asked three times. The waitress got the order wrong and we had to send it back. They had no scallops or ahi tuna even though it was on the menu. Service took forever. Table wasn’t cleaned. This used to be one of our favorite go to places. Now I’m not to sure.
SAM! Been here a few times but Sam, our waiter, was amazing. Worked well with our bawdy group and anticipated our needs. No crazy upselling, just wonderful recommendations. We will request him again!
Food was fresh, fast and delicious. Desserts are incredible and the perfect sweet (and small) end to a wonderful dinner.
Have to mention the bartender who gave us some pre-seating guidance on wonderful wines that serve a crowd.
Will be back! And asking for Sam!
Wildfire, Gibsons, Smith & Wollensky, etc. are great but Season's 52 is our favorite. We have never had a meal that has not been amazing and the staff is the best. Every time we go it is amazing. If I wrote a long review, the word amazing would be used quite often.
Isaac was a fantastic and attentive waiter. The food was delicious, served hot, and the desserts were perfect. We had a 630 reservation on a Saturday night and had to wait 15 minutes for our table because the place was slammed, but it was worth the wait. We will definitely come again.
Eat here a lot.. always good food., waited about a half hour with reservations.. good service very noisy lastnight... dinner was very good, the appetizer we personally didn't like which was the hummus.. too many onions watery in thickness and crackers were way too salty.. asked for more pita bread.. but will be back soon..,
We were seated about 40 minutes after our reservation time and experienced longer than usual waiting time to receive drinks and food. It was probably just an off night, as every time I’ve been there before, I’ve experienced nothing but great things. The cocktails were refreshing and tasty, the food was inventive and delicious and of course everything was fresh and sustainable. This place will always be one of my go-tos.
We took friends out to dinner for their 30th wedding anniversary. They had never been to Season's 52. They loved the service, the food and the wine. Our server Katie was very friendly and was attentive to detail. Season's 52 was a great choice for the occasion!
My husband and I have always loved the Schaumburg location of season’s 52, my mother in law even hosted my bridal shower there, and after to moving to the western suburbs were excited to try out the oakbrook location. We made a reservation for 7:30 and arrived at 7:10 knowing on a Friday night to get there a little early to check in. We were not seated until 8:10 40 minutes after our reservation. The restaurant had clearly overbooked themselves and did nothing to accommodate, defeating then purpose of making an making reservation in the first place. While my husband asked just once after 30 minutes where we were in the line to be seated, others did the same and were met with eye rolls, sarcasm, and all our rudeness from the hostess. I am well aware the delays were not the fault of the hosts however customer service should be key when spending money at a nicer dining establishment, and this girl was extremely disrespectful to those inquiring about the wait. The manager did make a stop at all if he tables and spent about 30 seconds saying sorry and moving on with his night. The one positive was our waitress Chakia. She was very kind, efficient, attentive, and had many suggestions about the menu. The food was good but not great and definitely not good enough to overlook the experience of the night. We unfortunately will not be back to this location which is a shame because of how much we loved the Schaumburg restaurant.
My visit to this Seasons 52 was very disappointing compared to my visits to other Seasons 52. Cold, almost rude service at the hostess table upon entering, friendly but overly casual service from the waitstaff, and pretty mediocre food. My visits to other locations of this upscale chain have been great, but this one was really lacking. Felt more like Applebees than upscale dining.
From the Mediterranean hummus appetizer to the braised short rib over smooth cheddar grits to the hearty bowl of chili and mushroom truffle flat bread --- everything was completely scrumptious! We enjoyed every flavor and texture with our meal but the best part of our night was our server Heather! She was incredibly delightful, funny, and attentive to my food allergies while offering helpful suggestions on meal choices. We'll obviously be back for the delicious food but will next time ask to be seated in her section!
We were very disappointed in the food. Lobster bisque was bland. Entrees were skimpy. Bread was not offered at the table. My husband ordered trout and it was over cooked. I had lamb shank and it was so dry returned it. They were quick to replace it with short ribs that were very good and tender.
We were there for Valentine’s Day and the service was remarkably good. So I raised the overall to three stars. Probabl6 won’t return unless it’s just for drinks and flat bread.
My friend and I were celebrating her birthday before Drury Lane. We both loved our meal, wine, and dessert. I had the barbecued meatloaf and she had the trout. Both entrees came with potatoes and vegetables, which you don’t always get. My beet salad with goat cheese and pistachios was delicious. We loved the little $3 desserts and the key lime pie was just enough after the ample meal.
The atmosphere is modern, but very cozy too. All in all, a very good experience!
Had an Open Table Reservation which was made over a week earlier,, but had to wait more than 25 minutes to be seated. Food selections were great,, initial server was bartender (Jon) who took our order,,, but from then on,, it was no particular server,, though one girl did check on
our table once,,,, but had to stop a passing server to ask for refills...Definitely NOT their usual
service level.... but I guess it happens...
