Seasons 52 - Oak Brook Ratings and Reviews
We enjoyed the harvest menu special. It offered a choice of two different soups or salad. The spinach and pear salad was excellent as well as the mushroom bisque. There was a choice of four different entrees and also included a mini dessert. Everything was excellent!
Overall a very good experience would return. Mushroom soup had a delightful earthy undertone that soothed on a cold night. Parmesan mac and cheese lacked in the cheese department, so wouldn't recommend it. The desserts was a chocolaty amuse bouche that melted in the mouth, the expresso accents blended nicely on the tongue. Wait staff was very friendly and attentive. Was a nice change of pace.
there' already about 20ppl waiting in the lobby at 620pm when we got there we had to wait about 15min to be seated, we have reseveation
food were great just like the last several times we dined
the waiter was so-so, we understand the place was busy but we never had our glasses of water, even we asked, water never showed up. and bread never make it to our table...
Service was terrible. Reservations must have been over-booked because there was no where to stand anywhere inside the restaurant. We arrived 45 minutes early and were not seated until 45 minutes after our reservation time. I believe that both the restaurant and open Table are responsible for these problems. Too much pushing, no where to stand, customers were totally ignored.
We have been to Seasons multiple times. But thing have changed... we had a confirmed reservation for 6:45. Lucky for us unlike Three others we spoke to that were going to a play. we finally got seated 35 minutes late! What's the point in Overbooking as the airlines do???
TRhe only thing that saved the evening was our server Tasha!! she helped make the evening tolerable!. She evnen managed to have our first drink order comped!
The food and drinks were great! I'll go back to seasons but i will make sure they are not overbooking at the time!!!
We have dined here several times over the years and have always enjoyed our meals. Last Friday was the exception. We must have arrived right before the dinner rush. Our waiter Ken was inattentive, one in our party ordered a side of grilled scallops to go with her meal. They didn’t arrive with the meal and she was almost finished with her food when they did. I ordered the roasted chicken which was horrible. Way over cooked and so dry it was almost inedible. The side of Brussels sprouts were roasted black but under cooked inside. I know they can do better .
Their seasonal special is excellent and a great value including $6 glasses of wine! I’ve never experienced anything negative there. The only thing I’m not thrilled with is it does get noisy when the restaurant is filled, but that’s a testament to its popularity!
We dined at Seasons 52 for my father-in-law's birthday. It was a lot of people in the eating area upon our arrival. I went to the hostess desk and stood there for a while until I was acknowledged. I was a bit perturbed by that, by didn't let that ruin the occasion. The hostess informed me that they were running behind regarding reservations. We waited and waited. I took away one star because we were not communicated with regarding how we would be recognized once the table was ready. The food was a good price and was very appetizing.
I put a note that we were celebrating birthdays. The hostess gave us cards and wished us happy birthday. The food was delicious and a good value. The waiter took our picture and printed the picture and placed it in a card. I would recommend this restaurant for special occasions.
Our waiter was PHENOMENAL! On a busy Friday night, we were afraid that we wouldn’t make our theatre time even with reservations. Our waiter got our amazingly delicious food to us in 15 minutes and we were out the door in 45 without feeling rushed. The lamb shank, “juicy” Pinot noir, and grilled salmon salad were top notch. The unfailing service is what will keep us coming back!!!
We have dined at Seasons 52 in Schaumburg many times - this is our first at the Oak Brook location. Except for our excellent server we had at Oak Brook, the dining experience at the Schaumburg location is far superior. It seems larger and more comfortable. The tables at Oak Brook were very close together & my chair was literally against the wall. Aside from this, I ordered my favorite Filet Mignon -- the chef at Oak Brook should go to Schaumburg and take lessons as the filet I've had there on numerous occasions was prepared much better. My 3 fellow diners seemed happy with their entrees, but I was disappointed in mine.
