Great menu selection, delicious food and fantastic service!
My lunch with friends was a delightful experience at Seasons 52. We were seated in a small alcove which was perfect. Our server was fabulous and the food delicious.
Excellent service. Christian was our winter and did. A great job. Food was great.
ALWAYS great food and great service. This is one of our favorite places--we can always count on a fabulous meal and the best service.
Great food and very fresh. Pricier restaurant but worth it.
Just ok. Of the five entrees, two (Tuna and Trout) were overcooked and dry. Drinks were good, would have liked to order wine with dinner, but never was given the chance by the server.
The food is fairly priced for what you get, but overall this is a not a top-notch restaurant. Too many other excellent choices in the Oak Brook area to waste your time and money here.
Great dining with absolute consistency..highly recommended.
I can’t remember the last time I was so impressed with a server, but Sonya made the whole evening better. She was attentive, and more than accommodating, we were lucky, as she normally doesn’t work on Friday night. You can’t beat the Happy Hour selections, the small plates & drinks were perfect. I only wish there was a location closer to my house. The next time I’m in the Oak Brook area, I can’t wait to go to Seasons 52. I can only hope Sonya will be working. The other servers seemed hard working & attentive. Quite an extensive menu. Scallops & tuna were yummy.
Thank you for a flavorful lunch
Jake was a great waiter
Very disappointed with the CHANGE of the Chilean Sea Bass Entree. Eliminated the Forbidden Rice & Snow Peas with Some sort of Boring & Tasteless Dark Rice & No Vegetables.
This Dish was a Go To For Us & Our Friends for Years.
No One Notified Us of the Change until the Entrees arrived at our Table.
We will have to reconsider our Options before we return to your Restaurant.
The food and the service personnel always make dining at Seasons 52 a pleasure.
Food was wonderful, the waitress was so sweet and very knowledgeable.
Good food and nice ambiance. Service was not quite as good as previous visits.
Mother’s Day celebration. We had a reservation for 7:15 pm but the restaurant was way overbooked. They told us 35 min but ended up getting a table 55 min later. Despite many customers left instead of waiting.
Mismanagement of reservation is something but the hosts at the entry were also rude instead of being apologetic. When you mess up you need to make amends not be condescending and rude to your customers.
Otherwise good was ok. The server was excellent.
Great food, very fresh. However, they over book on holidays. We waiting over an hour to be seated even with a reservation. That was unacceptable.
Even though it was over crowded for mother’s day, the hostess was polite and courteous. She graciously offered a drink and appetizer since they were running 45 min over reservation time. I always like the fish and the BBQ chicken salad. My sons ordered the shrimp and grits; delicious and not a speck left on the plates!! Overall good turn out for people packed rainy holiday.
Had to wait an hour past our reservation time. It was Mother's day, but why overbook. Food was great though.
Made reservations at Seasons 52 Oak Brook about 10 days before Mother's day which proved to be a challenging thing for the restaurant to honor. Our reservation for three was set for 6:30 and we arrived at 6:25. We were informed that they were 'running a little behind' in the reservations system due to the volume of customers on this special day. We were told also that it should only be a few minutes before we were seated. We retired to bar to have a cocktail and wait ...
65 minutes later they sent someone to retrieve us from the bar....literally 5 minutes before we planned to leave the restaurant.
I understand the holiday aspect of our reservation but do not understand why it took over an hour to seat us with absolutely no communications from the staff about how much longer the wait would be.
I can see a fifteen or twenty minute delay from a reserved table time, especially on a day like Mother's Day, but 65 minutes? Bad management is the only reason for this and its unacceptable. I do not appreciate making a reservation only to have to wait for over an hour to finally be seated no matter what day of the year it is. I reserved a table and arrived on time...that table should be ready for my party within 10 minutes of arrival.
In fairness to the establishment the bartender comped our flatbread appetizer due to the delay but again this should not be necessary in a well run restaurant. We wouldn't have had to order that flatbread appetizer in the first place if we'd been seated somewhere near to on time....even 25-30 minutes after the reservation. We ordered the appetizer at the 40 minute mark and it was served at the 50 minute mark.
While we have enjoyed visits to other Seasons52 restaurants around the country this is the last time we will patronize the Oak Brook restaurant as I didn't appreciate being made to wait with no update or communications whatsoever while doing so.
Otherwise the meal was fine and the service adequate.
The meal was great, the table service was good, the reservation experience was horrendous. It took an hour after our reservation time to get our table. The restaurant was most definitely overbooked. The lobby was flooded and uncomfortable, forcing us to stand for the hour wait.
We make a reservation for 6:15 PM and arrived at six we finally were seated at 8 PM. This is the second time we made a reservation I had to wait over an hour!! No point in ever making a reservation at this restaurant as they do not honor the time that you book more value to customers time.
The food and service here were both amazing. My reason for the overall review of less than 5 starts is due to the wait. We had a 6:15 reservation on Sunday night and had to wait an hour to be seated. The waiting area was packed and my daughter had to sit on the floor until a seat freed up while we stood. We would have left when I was told that they were running about 30 min late on reservations, but it was Mother’s Day and it was clear that every restaurant would have been packed, so we figured 30 min was bearable. 60 minutes was unacceptable. Thankfully the stellar service and delicious food helped me forget a bit about that wait, but next time I would not recommend the overbooking...especially on a holiday.
We had reservations at 6:00. Never got seated till 7:30. I feel reservation mean nothing. Walk ins are seated before you if the got there before your reservations time.
Food was excellent as always. Unfortunately we had to wait 45-mins for our table despite having reservation. Waiter did provide free desert which was appreciated.
First time visitor. Waited over an hour with a reservation. Ran out of chicken and several other items on Mother's Day. Someone must been sleep at the wheel when ordering for such a busy days. Portion were very small, smaller than usually I was told by other returning patrons. Think 52 was skimping on the food afraid of running out of other things. Wasn't a great experience for a mother's special day. Ambience was nice. I have to try again before I can recommend to other, maybe at a time when 52 is less busy.
The wait was long, but it was Mother’s Day mind you. After we were seated everything was fantastic from the ambience to the server to the food to the desert. Perfect in every way. The portions of the meal were just right and the mini desserts are absolutely perfect in size. Our server was genuinely happy and extremely attentive. It was an amazing experience and I can’t wait to go back
I realize it was Mother's Day, but the front desk people said that they were accommodating over 2000 people on that Sunday. Our reservations were for 5:00 and we were seated about 5:20.
Had a reservation for 5:00pm . . . confirmed by a telephone call from restaurant. However, we were not seated until 1 hour later at 6:00 pm. Staff said they “were running behind” . . . but I suspect they just follow the practice of significantly overbooking. This is the 2nd consecutive reservation that has been handled thus way. No sense in using Open Table at this location!
Had a 5pm reservation through open table but didn’t get seated until 5:40. Food was average at best. Drinks were okay and service was good though.
We had a reservation for dinner. We ended up waiting 35 minutes beyond our reservation time. I understand it was Mother's Day, but I think they could plan a little better. They did not offer any apologies, just we are running behind. It was a "Deal with it" attitude. I would not come back again on Mother's Day.
I'd heard wonderful things regarding Seasons 52. Being a brave soul, I tried it for the first time with my mother and 96-year-old grandmother for Mother's Day. The service exceeded my expectations. Alberto returned to the table at the perfect times. It was like he was mind reading. My grandmother tried Lobster Bisque for the first time in her life and loved it! All of the food was fresh and delicious. I will definitely return for all seasonal offerings!
Mother’s Day Dinner
Our server was phenomenal. We all loved our entrees, the appetizers and desserts. Even ALL of my 3 children thought everything was absolutely delicious!!! Absolutely recommend!!!
Lump crab cakes is all I can say! It was simply amazing
Other than the delay for seating ,the food and service was outstanding
The food is terrific but we had a reservation, granted it was Mother's Day, and we arrived 10 min prior to reservation and were seated one hour after the reservation. Crazy long wait. They apologized but it is not acceptable.
We really enjoyed Season 52 and the manager was very accommodating to my special needs when I booked the reservation. Everything was excellent on all accounts!
We had reservations, but waited for 20 minutes to get seated. We ordered roasted cauliflower, took a while for it to come. The inside of the cauliflower was very cold. We ordered the 3 course meals. Our service wasn’t attentive. The meals were delicious. The deserts were fun and the right size. We left completely full and happy. We didn’t have to pay for the cauliflower. The sangria was good too. Nice restaurant, very busy because it was Mother’s Day.
Our visit on Mother's Day was one of the nicest dining experiences I can remember. Everything was perfect. The hostess station was accommodating when we needed to add on to our reservation, the waitress was a delight and provided excellent service, and the manager even stopped by our table to check on things. The restaurant was VERY busy but they treated us with A++ service. The food was excellent. My nephew who is usually a very picky eater and does not like anything raved about the food. This is our new favorite spot. Thank you!!
We love this restaurant but even with a reservation getting seated on a busy day (Saturday evening - Mothers Day Brunch) is a mad house.
This was an absolutely horrible experience. Our Mother’s Day was ruined because of the lackluster service. Our food trickled out of the kitchen two plates at a time. Which proved to be a challenge because we had a children who lost interest after eating and we were forced to wait over 30 minutes for the second set of food to be delivered. I would not recommend this restaurant on a holiday. They were overwhelmed and not able to provide the proper service.
