We thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Can't say enough good about it. Well done, as always.
We had a 7:30 Saturday reservation for 2. We were disappointed when our seating hostess greeted us in jeans, obviously this sends a signal to your patrons as we noticed some were dressed as if they were eating at Wendy’s, i.e. shorts, t-shirts and flip-flops. Initially she wanted to seat us in the bar area, we asked if she could place us in the main dining area. She took us to a small table that sat at a very heavy traffic area for staff and patrons. She gave us our menus and said somebody would be with us shortly. The overall ambience and noise level rivaled that of a gymnasium basketball game. After sitting at the table for 15 to 20 minutes with nobody stopping to wait on us, we got up and told the check in desk to cancel our reservations due to our poor experience. This experience was a far cry from our previous ones and hope Seasons 52 is not lowering its standards of service or ambiance.
Staff and management were excellent in accommodating our special requests.
Our waitress scratched her head with her pen while taking our order and appeared bored while serving us. Everything was a chore. While leaving, I witnessed a cook on the line pick up food with latex gloves on, put it into her mouth and eat it and then continue to work. I think it’s ridiculous to not serve bread on the table when flatbreads are a speciality.
this restaurant consistently serves excellent food in a pleasant atmosphere and with the best service of any restaurant i've ever visited. prices are fair and portions are generous.
Excellent all around. I continuously go there.I enjoyed the food service everything I love the happy hour.
The flatbreads are outstanding, be sure to try the scallion topped 5-mushroom version. The vegetarian lasagna was light and flavorful. The roasted whole head of cauliflower is good for spice averse folks, but I found it a bland although it was perfectly cooked. Overall, a great dinner.
Exceptional service provided by Katherine and Kevin the chef. They both went above and beyond - my mother asked for a special dessert and they both came to her with their own interpretation of a cheese cake dessert. Thank to the both of your for being so kind and wonderful to my mother on Mother's Day.
Normally we dine at Seasons52 in Columbia, this was as our first time at this location. The only complaint I have regarding the food pertains to the Roma tomato flatbread, it had way too much basil and tomatoes then what has normally been applied when we’ve ordered this flatbread. The excessive amount of the basil and tomatoes changed the flavor in our opinion. The other items in our order, the salads, soups and entrees were very delicious.
The food was delicious. The halibut tasted fresh and chutney was delicious, a little spicy, but still very good . My only issue was the service. Our waiter just disappeared. After the food was delivered we only saw him once and that was to give us the check.
Mother’s Day lunch and it felt a bit like a ‘canteen’. We were in and out in an hour. Service was patchy, food was less than great.... think it’s time to find somewhere else as a good basic restaurant.
*when a guest orders a glass of wine, please encourage your wait staff to be a little more respectful rather than barking at my daughter for her ID! She had a question to ask about the wine but didn’t get the chance because she was shut down.... terrible service!
We went here for Mother’s Day. The four of us had the prix fixe menu-$30.00 for an appetizer, main course and dessert.
Food was subtle and delicious- steak in a wine sauce with asparagus and new potatoes. Sea scallops on a purée of asparagus and rice- everyone agreed that the food was cooked to perfection- the meat and fish were succulent and tender, the asparagus was just right- just crunchy enough without being limp and soggy, while retaining a crisp taste. Dessert was a shot glass sized offering of cheesecake- enough for a taste or two, without being gluttonous. Cheesecake flavors were varied and tasty- pure chocolate, chocolate and peanut butter, strawberries and rhubarb and key lime pie.
Service was very friendly, focused and attentive. Our server introduced himself and also the entire team, telling us to reach out.
We all agreed — Seasons52 is a winner, and it’s going on our list!!
We have been to Seasons 52 many times and just love it. We were, however, disappointed when we visited for Mother's Day. It was incredibly crowded (understandably) and very noisy. We were crammed in a corner, and the service, given the crowd size, was fair at best. Food was overcooked, then undercooked, and the Mother's Day Brunch menu was hit or miss. Some items were terrific, but others terrible. The french toast was more of a cake, and disliked by both in our party who ordered it. We will continue to come to the restaurant, but most likely will stay away on holidays.
This used to be one of our favorite restaurants--not so much any more It isn't fair to judge a restaurant based on a holiday dine. Still a biggie goof by the server was critical. I told our server that I couldn't have gluten so when I ordered a Caesar salad she confirmed that the croutons should be omitted. So far so good. When we got to dessert we were talking about my gluten free options. She told me that the pecan pie didn't have crust only pecans. When I ate it I tasted crust. Oops! I spoke to the manager about the importance of servers understanding ingredients. He then spoke with the server who became defensive telling me she thought I knew it had gluten. My sensitivity is not life threatening & I have some thing to take in case I accidentally eat gluten, but some people could have a serious medical emergency from eating gluten. We aren't going to rush back there.
This is a good place to eat. Normally we will have dinner there since that is what they are specialists at. For Mother's Day, we went there for what we thought would be brunch. However, their 'brunch' menu was nearly nonexistent and it was mostly their normal lunch/dinner menu. There were a lot of people that were suckered into this as they took advantage of the day. I skipped over a lot of other places because they posted their menus and they did not have breakfast items on there.
It is not that hard to cook eggs, sausage, bacon and other breakfast foods. If you are going to open early to take advantage of a holiday crowd, then take the time to have a proper menu, even if it is not something you normally do.
Seasons 52 is one of my go-to locations for work lunches because of the quality and timely service and the menu offers a range of options for all dietary preferences.
Fantastic for everything I will definitely be back
I have always enjoyed the food at Seasons 52. It had been awhile since I had dined there, and they have made changes to their main and desert menus.
This time was no different. The wait staff was on the ball and the food is still very good. I highly recommend the pea and kale soup.
Best halibut i’ve Eaten! Too bad the season is so short!
My reservation included that we were celebrating a birthday and the recipient received a card. We all recurved an appetizer. They brought out a special dessert tray (with candle!). And champagne to close the night!! Fantastic birthday treatment. More than we could have expected
Suite à mon départ des États Unis en 2017, je n’étais pas revenue chez Seasons 52. Quelle très belle surprise : excellente adresse, cuisine excellente et raffinée, personnel attentionné, vins de qualité. A recommander absolument
It was our anniversary and they made it special. Great service, a nice table and terrific food. Shrimp and grits was perfect.
Our server was alright, although it seemed like he was fairly new, but the manager made the experience worthwhile when he came and made small talk with us about the service. Overall I would most definitely come back and tell everyone about this great restaurant.
First time experience at Seasons 52, and the ambiance and service was great. Food was mediocre for the price. I had the roasted half chicken, which was okay. My partner had the fish which he enjoyed. We also had a bottle of Malbec which was great. First time going here, but will return if I am ever in Bethesda.
Love Seasons 52. Food is always good and appropriate portions. Adding more fresh spring veggies would be optimal. Put away the cauliflower and use more broccoli
Service was great, as always, but I should have asked for a better description of the roasted pepper chutney that topped the halibut before ordering. It was so spicy hot I couldn't eat it, which was a shame because the fish itself was delicious. My husband's lamb loin was unfortunately overcooked and chewy and had the same too spicy pepper topping. Oh, well. The flatbread and beet salad were both yummy, though! We'll be back but will be ordering differently.
good food, attentive service, fair prices. the restaurant does not have an extensive menu. there are a good variety of choices.
As usual, food was delicious. Service was efficient.
Had a wonderful experience with our out of town guests. Kevin, our server was fantastic. My family will be back.
Enjoyable, excellent service, food was quite good. I appreciate the slightly-more-budget-friendly menu they have out for the spring, where you get a starter/entree/dessert.
Easter celebration with family and friends was smooth and delightful. The service and attention to everyone's needs were meet with friendly smiles. Good food, good service and good times. Thank you.
Seemed slow in the kitchen maybe not prepared for a busy day
We went for the Easter brunch. Restaurant was very busy but our service was very good. The brunch selections were delicious. Scallops were cooked perfectly. Steak and eggs were excellent. The split pea and kale soup was the clear winner here. We had delicious desserts and enjoyed the special $6 peach bellinis. A manager checked in to see how we were enjoying our meal. We really enjoyed it.
My family and I went for Easter brunch. Our server’s name was Jen and she was absolutely fantastic. My grandmother is extremely particular and can be super needy at times but Jen handled it with ease and made sure we had a great experience. The food was great as always. Can’t wait to go back.
Service was a bit below normal. I had a hard time finding our server, our drinks were empty (would have ordered more) and he never brought one of our extra drinks as ordered.
Next time I will try something besides the gnocchi- very dry.
Always good god and comfortable setting. Easter Sunday made for a hectic day so the service got things a little mixed up but our waiter bought us around of drinks.
always enjoy meals at 52. Easter meal was very good. only complaint was the sirlon steak was a bit tough at one end of the steak. We will be back.
I would recommend Seasons 52 for it's fresh local eats, and atmosphere.
Our waitress, Nicole, was terrific and so was the food. This is our new Favorite Restaurant!
