Seasons 52 - King of Prussia Ratings and Reviews
For it being as slow as it was for a Tuesday night, I was surprised at the less than stellar food and service. Incorrectly made one of our cocktails, brought out cold sides (mac & cheese), spilled water all over me and our table, and didn't offer to comp anything.. pretty awful experience.
Great dinner. The bar needs some attention, a good cleaning (could write your name on dust on the lamps and fixtures). Bathroom walls & fixtures and disgusting chairs and upholding also is quite worn and dirty for such a nice restaurant. The food is good, service excellent, but was disappointed that the restaurant was not kept up at the level expected.
Got together with a cousin before attending a show. Luckily, we sat in the dining room off the main one, which can get pretty loud. We had lots to catch up on. Our dinner salads were wonderful and we both enjoyed the New Old Fashioned cocktail. The first time I had this was last summer. At that time, I thought the cocktail was a little better (had more cherry flavor from muddling), but would order it again. It's a good evening drink.
I ordered the butternut squash soup and it was absolutely delicious. I also ordered the braised short
rib and cheddar flatbread. It was burnt around the edges and when I took my first bite of what I thought was a generous piece of beef, I got a mouthful of disgusting fat and had to spit it out in my napkin. The waitress was kind enough to take it away and the manager did ask if I wanted another flatbread. Frankly I just wanted to get the taste out of my mouth. We ordered a small dessert which helped. I was not charged for the flatbread. I definitely would not order a flatbread again.
I will not be rating this restaurant nor any others ever again. I have no qualms with Seasons 52. I do have a problem with Open Table who apparently have removed all my past reviews for any restaurant I booked through them since 2008. I do not copy my reviews but I did like to look at previous review of places I frequent to get an idea of what I wish to write. So, anyhow, this is my form of protest.
WE had the most wonderful waiter - Sal. My parents are quite elderly and they had several requests and nothing was too much to ask of Sal. He was fantastic. The food, as always was delicious and we appreciated Season's 52 having a special that included a starter, entrée and dessert for $29. Thank you so much for helping me to keep the cost down during the celebration of my parents 67th wedding anniversary; my niece's 2nd anniversary and my sister's 43rd. Patricia Newman
Got together for a lunch girl's get together this past Saturday. Everyone enjoyed their meal. We all split 2 of the Roma tomato flatbreads and had the burger, porcini mushroom bisque, butternut squash soup, 2 sesame grilled salmon salads and the roasted brussel sprouts app. And, if course, couldn't pass up the desserts! They are served in a small shooter glass so you don't feel too guilty...lol! Choc peanut butter and choc smores...yummy! They had other choices as well ...about 8...and present them tableside so one can choose! The service was excellent and a fun time was had by all of us! The only downside was that it was quite noisy so tough to have conversations and hear what we all were saying!
Having found Seasons 52 online and reading some reviews, I decided to take my adult son there for his Birthday meal. My daughter and her boyfriend came aswell. I booked a table online but as it was a Thursday I was still expecting to wait and we did but not for too long. It was pretty noisy but surprisingly we did get used to it. Our waiter was very friendly and happy to tell us about the restaurant as it was our first visit. There menu is not huge but everything sounded so good that it was not easy to choose! The food was delicious and well worth spending more than we usually would to go out to eat. My daughter eats gluten free and they brought her some very nice bread to go with our appetizers. We will definitely go there again for a special occasion.
Food & wine choices were both great as usual. One item came somewhat over cooked, & the server & manager couldn’t have handled it better - a real test to me if a great restaurant. The singer / pianist at the bar was fabulous, too - overall, made for a really special date.
