Seasons 52 - King of Prussia Ratings and Reviews
We found this to a be a very good restaurant. The staff and service was excellent. A bit noisey at first but settled down an hour into our visit. It was a gathering of long time friends all celebrating a common milestone birthday. The Staff kindly acknowledge it with desert. Meal prices relative to what you got was out of balance but very tasty.
We went for dinner while Christmas shopping at King Of Prussia mall. I got the filet mignon w red wine sauce on by side & my husband had
the shrimp & grits. All food was great and ambience is great. The shrimp and grits should have had way more grits though, (especially since those don’t cost much at all). Other than that we would go back. Also we wished they would give bread and butter to start.
Problem with air conditioning. Mention to waitress multiple times that we were cold and may want to move our table. She kept telling us that the problem was fixed and we would soon be comfortable. I felt that she should’ve quickly moved us without us having to display our discomfort
The round booth affords the opportunity for a party of 6 to engage in conversation easily. Food is very good. Our only problem was that my entree had been completely forgotten and the rest of the group insisted on waiting to eat until mine was served resulting in all of theirs being cold ( the restaurant typically does a terrific job in insuring hot food for all).
We went with friends to happy hour. The drink prices were an excellent value, but the small plates were not. We ordered scallops, meatballs, ahi tuni. Serving size was paltry. The flatbreads we ordered however were good and of good value. We also ordered salads, which were not on the happy hour menu that were delicious, but again very small.
Ambience was great with good music.
We both enjoyed the trout plate. The fish was delicious and did not have a single bone as trout often does. The sides of potatoes and carrots were okay. The carrots were a little thin and dried too much. The vegetables I have had here in the past with the salmon were so much better. The small dessert concoctions are irresistible and a nice ending to a meal. Service is good for a relaxed luncheon. Waitress did ask if we were in a time crunch which we were not.
I and my friends dine at Seasons 52 quite often. The food is always great as is the service. We like the menu changes so you never get tired of the "same old thing". Our only annoyance is the noise level, as the evening wears on and more and more people arrive, you are screaming at the person sitting next to you to be heard and even then you can't hear all that well. Acoustics could be much better.
Season's 52 is a favorite low pressure nice dinner spot in KoP. I often enjoy my meals there. The service is typically very good. I relied on this for Thanksgiving with my family and was disappointed. We were seated 30 minutes after our reservation, understandable given the holiday. Our server was fine, nothing great, but nothing bad. The kitchen was having a bad night, likely due to being over-booked. It was clear from the errors that the cooks were rushing to get food out. Raviolis were burnt on the outside and cold in the middle. Scallops were rubbery. Shrimp in the scampi were overcooked, while the risotto was under cooked. I had the Thanksgiving dinner. The mashed potatoes and stuffing were bland and underwhelming. The turkey was fine. The sweet potatoes were good, as were the greenbeans. Nothing better than you could get at a local diner, but not ruined. Overall, it was a disappointing experience that I won't repeat on another holiday.
My husband and I decided to go out for Thanksgiving instead of cooking at home since its only the two of us. The restaurant is in the mall so we wanted to build in plenty of time just in case of traffic and arrived about 15min early and had to wait that much time to be seated.
Then the hostess took us upstairs to a big room with harsh lighting that seemed to be where the larged parties where being sat. When I asked if we could be sat in the main dining room I was told we might have a long wait.
My husband ordered the Thanksgiving pre-fix dinner . Turkey. Mashed potatoes and all the tipical sides for $26. I ordered the duck wings and brussel sprouts. The food was ok, nothing great but ok. The service was good and fast. But there where kids running around and not the experience I was looking for. Probably won't go back.
