Seasons 52 - Jacksonville Ratings and Reviews
We enjoy dining at Seasons 52. When we include our children (11 year old twins) it is a special treat. While we have enjoyed many good meals at this restaurant, this one was just “ok”. The service was slow but thoughtful. As a result we had watered down drinks and Luke warm food. If this was our first time visiting, it is doubtful that we would want to return.
The service was excellent. The food was good except one of our guests ordered a steak that came out wrong and he didn't receive the replacement until after the rest of us were done eating. The manager Oscar was very nice and comped it but the fact is that he didn't get to eat his meal with the rest of us. That was disappointing, even though they rectified the situation. All in all we will return. Thank you Oscar for your friendliness.
This was our first time at this particular Seasons 52. We were seated right away and our waiter took our drink order. After the drinks were served, he took our dinner order. It then took more than 45 minutes before we saw any food. This is just too long, in my opinion. And a friend of mine said she experienced the same issue twice at this restaurant. At least the food arrived piping hot!
Elegant, somewhat rustic dining room. The mushroom flatbread was simple but surprisingly good. The seasonal entree (lamb shank) was very well prepared but didn't "wow" me. The single serving dessert finished off the meal nicely. At nearly $100 for a dinner for two, including an alcoholic beverage for each of us, the value is somewhat below average. However, I have no qualms recommending the restaurant for a special occasion or higher end date night, I will simply say that for the price there are some other restaurant options.
Took my friend here for her birthday on a Sunday night.
We stuck with starters, drinks and dessert and enjoyed our evening.
We ordered the lobster flatbread, duck wing lollipops, a mushroom and shrimp appetizer that looked like an escargot presentation, and the roasted Brussel sprouts. They were all delicious.
I’d stick with wine or straight liquor instead of cocktails which I believe are all sugar and calories anyway.
The desserts are a perfect size for that sweet treat and I’d go back in a heartbeat just for that chocolate mocha concoction.
I’d probably go back to try the place again just because I think you should try everything twice before you make a judgement.
The manager Oscar is top notch. He was very professional and accommodating. There was a situation with a table shortage when a large party came in, which caused Oscar to ask my wife and I to move our table to another location in the restaurant. Oscar handled the issue in such a professional way that actually improved our experience as guests. Its refreshing to be treated with such respect as the customer. Thank you for making our night! The food was delicious too.
Our family of six (all adults) had dinner at our local Seasons 52 on the Friday evening of New Year's Eve Weekend. I went to OpenTable at 5:30pm and was surprised to secure a 7:00pm reservation for us. We arrived and were seated immediately. The restaurant was full and very busy. Our friendly server arrived promptly with the menu, taking good care of us with drinks, appetizers and answering questions about entrée selections.
We all ordered something different, from dinner salads, seafood, and chicken. All of our food was excellent in terms of preparation, presentation, and service.
I use a power chair and found the space a bit cramped and difficult to move around as our table was all the way in the rear. Next time I will remember to ask for a table towards the front.
The Seasons 52 concept is quite compelling. Their Chefs create new twists on standard dishes, then source fresh, local, pure foods for the kitchen. Each menu item is prepared healthfully in moderately sized portions, and paired with flavorful wines as fresh and pure as the food.
We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner and will keep Seasons 52 in mind the next time we dine out.
We visited Seasons 52 because my mom has a gluten allergy and she has always had a very good experience here. (Patents visiting from Minnesota). She ordered the seared scallops from the Gluten Free menu, but did not specifically mention gluten allergy to the server. Unfortunately she somehow ended up with some gluten in her meal and spent the night in the bathroom as a result. Super disappointed. The food tasted amazing, as usual. All 4 of us has the seared scallops and a bottle of wine. I was sorry she spent $180 on a dinner that ultimately made her sick.
I made the reservation for a Christmas dinner, everything was perfect, except that, my friend and I had to wait almost one hour sending back to the kitchen 3 times our salmon to be well cooked, it was completely raw, after all everything was perfect and delicious
The scallops over risotto was delicious, the scallops were cooked perfectly. My friend had the filet and she said it was better than some of the other "high end, well known steakhouses". It's easy to make reservations and the table is always ready when you arrive.
I’ve been here many times, and absolutely love it. One of my faves. This was the first time, though, everything wasn’t perfect. The two people at our table that ordered steaks, had to send them back. They needed to be re-heated. They took them, back though, and cooked new steaks, which were perfect.
Overall, this remains an excellent choice for dining out.
