Seasons 52 - Jacksonville Ratings and Reviews
The napkins left heavy lint on both my sweater and pants and my wife’s sweater and pants. Somebody needs to take more caring and being sure that the napkins are properly washed and de-limited or offer black napkins. This never happened before in the past several months when the same style of napkin was used.
Good food, great service, and attentive kitchen (to a food allergy) make for a great dining experience. The restauraunt has an "upscale casual" atmosphere and makes for a relaxing evening. Be sure to try the blistered pepper appetizer - a unique and very tasty starter.
Miss the piano bar, it made the bar area a lot more energized.
In the last dinner we had a very good waiter and will ask for him next time we comes to the restaurant, but times before that we had a few waiters that was not very good at all and brought their personal issues to the restaurant, which kind of ruined our evening and dinner experience.
(1) Had 7:30 reservation for 2 --- seated 30 minutes late
(2) Waited in bar - found two open seats at bar - 10 minutes before acknowledged/served
(3) Finally given booth next to noise, traffic, & smells of kitchen
(4) Kitchen was out of our first three entrée selections
(5) Waiter was attentive but spent most of his time explaining what the kitchen was out of
(6) When entrée finally arrived, it was over-cooked and dry.
(7) The wine was excellent
Made a reservation for 7pm. Showed up at 650. Got seated at 725. Took 1:20 to get our food and it was seasonal special. Would have thought it would have been faster. Never got an explanation as too why. Food was bland. I ordered the filet Mignon and my husband got the Lamb Shank. Neither one had any flavor and my husband had a ton of fat on it. The waitress ask if he liked it and he said it was fine she asked if he wanted something else he said no. They did end up crediting his dinner back off but we didn’t know until we left that they did that. No one even said anything.
Immediate seating in a very comfortable booth. A/C was sett at a perfect temperature additional sweater was not required. The noise level was much lower than most restaurants. Our server, Molly was wonderful very accommodating and anticipated our needs. Finally the food was delicious, we all enjoyed our meals. The filet was cooked perfectly, Salmon was juicy and tender and the lamb shank slide off the bone. My veggies were nothing special. Desserts were a good size to go give you a taste but not oversized to make you feel like you over did it.
Will return gladly.
We had an excellent dinner. We were a party of 5 and they addressed us by our name. Huge points for that! The food was fantastic and the service phenomenal! We had Joe help us out and he was so personable and knowledgeable. Just a wonderful night all the way around. I can't wait to go back!
Upon discovering that it was our anniversary they gave us an anniversary card. Everyone made sure to tell us happy anniversary. The scallops were phenomenal! Our waitress treated us to two glasses of celebratory champagne and a free dessert (this was included inside the card we received). We thoroughly enjoyed our evening and plan to come back again.
Overall our experience was great. We had reservations for 7:45 but we were not seated till 8:05. We checked in at 7:30. My husband had to return to the front desk and to ask when we would be seated. Her response was "I can seat you now." We told them we would be having a drink in the bar while we waited. Im not sure why they didn't come and get us to be seated. It almost felt that if we didn't ask we would not have been seated.
Food was great and Paige, our waitress, was very attentive to us.
We were there to celebrate a retirement. Our food was wonderful as expected. Only true disappointment was at the end of our evening. Once our server brought us our check and we signed our credit card slip, she was no where to be found. We would have loved a refill on our coffee. We asked 3 different servers (including our original server) for more coffee and eventually did get some lukewarm coffee.
Great menu. We both ordered the lamb shank and the portion size was very large and it was very tender. The sea scallops were also very good. Everything about our meal was perfect. Loved the small desserts, perfect size. We normally never order desserts since at most places they tend to be to large.
