My wife and I celebrated our 38th wedding anniversary at Seasons 52 in Jacksonville, FL. This was our first time dining here. Since I had indicated on the reservation we were celebrating our anniversary, we were shown to our booth and offered complimentary champagne! The server (Paige - awesome!) then left us with a "Congrats" card offering complimentary dessert. Already off to a great start!
We both ordered the Grilled Sea Scallops on a bed of Goat Cheese Risotto with fresh Asparagus. It was wonderful! Nothing to complain or criticize at all. Delicious at every bite! For dessert we opted for the Raspberry Cannoli and Pecan Pie. These are served in small individual portions, just enough for an after-dinner sweet. Coupled with a delicious cup of coffee ended our meal on a high note.
My only criticisms: the hostess, knowing why we were there, nonetheless offered to seat us in a booth in the crowded bar, when I specifically asked for a quiet booth or table away from the kitchen and restrooms. Second, the noise level was rather loud, since were seated next to two large parties of at least 10 people each (with some loud children and babies). So, a romantic ambiance was missing from our otherwise wonderful dining experience.
We celebrated my three sons’ 18th birthday here with a terrific lunch. Thomas, our waiter, took great care of us and the food was outstanding, as always.
The food was great and the Atmosphere was comfortable. I took some coworkers from out of town and they loved it.
Our waiter Mark, was exceptional and professional!!!
They clearly paid attention to this being a special occasion for us.
Tonya was an incredible waitress she handled everyone of our needs staying at couple steps ahead of us all the time this is one of our favorite special places and I enjoyed my birthday there
Food was great as always. Such a lovely restaurant to come to when we are in town. Our server Joseph was great as well!
Table next was loud.
Ran out of signature app item and it was just after 6 pm
Spicy cauliflower was bland and tasted odd
Waitress disappeared for extended times
My husband and I went to Seasons 52 for a late dinner after attending a graduation. We wanted a light meal and the green pea with kale soup and Greek salad fit the bill. We each ordered a bowl of the soup plus the salad as well as a glass of the Bonny Soon Gravitas to complement the meal. The food was delicious and served in a timely manner. Terry provided expert service throughout the evening.
Great food and excellent service.
Eleven South has not disappointed me ever. And Frances the server made the evening even better. This is one of Jax Beach's best spots to eat.
Seasons 52 has a wonderful Happy Hour in the bar area and the three of us enjoyed wonderful well drinks and small plates and appetizers. The flatbread is a personal favorite and we really enjoyed ourselves. Our server, Tabitha, was so nice and friendly. She was great at recommendations and very attentive.
Very disappointing experience at my wife's favorite restaurant--pork and trout were both overcooked and tough and service from Tabitha started out good and then she turned us over to some guy who couldn't get anything right--guest ordered salad with dressing on the side and it was on the salad and too much for her so wife might come back but I would never return with so many other choices
Service was impeccable. The three-course meal was perfectly prepared for each of us. Dessert selection was superb. Champagne was a beautiful touch. Wines were well paired for the meals.
Great atmosphere and service. Food was great. I love the idea of smaller portions but the price still reflects any other restaurant with restaurant portions. I had the shrimp and grits. Perfect portion yet costs $19.95. A bit high IMO. Also miss the piano player in the middle of the bar.
I will get the burraya and fig salad again. It was fantastic! Also getting rave reviews was the baked chicken dinner. Avocado toast could use a little more of avocado. The cauliflower was a generous portion and cooked perfectly! Over all an excellent dining experience. Service was also very good!
"Flatbread" lobster appetizer for $15+ was actually a cracker.
2 of us had scallops; rubbery and tasteless.
Great food! Literally one of the best restaurants I have ever been to.
Outstanding service & food quality! Great atmosphere! Kudos to Jason our waiter!
Had three course dinner. Wonderful
Really happy with the quality of food and service. Very nice bar area and wine selection. Will definitely return next time in Jacksonville!
The restaurant was exactly what we wanted, not too loud, excellent service, and varied menu. I especially loved the shot-glass sized desserts!
My late mother in laws favorite restaurant. My husband and ate there recently on the one year anniversary of her passing. Wonderful!!
I ask for crispy skin on my chicken and no sauce. It came out so dry I could barely chew the chicken or veggies. No sauce doesn’t mean no sautéing in olive oil or something. The meal is good enough and the server was great
For Mother’s Day we had a reservation. When arriving the place was crowded and at the counter there was only chaos. Despite the reservation we had to wait more than 30 min to get seated. A hostess guided us to a table and when getting there the table was still occupied.
The food was at best average. My wife ordered the salmon, but when the meal arrived the fish was already cold. When asking the waiter for help he brought the plate back to the kitchen. But instead of delivering a new meal, they simply warmed up the fish- which now was dry and in the meantime the pity and beans were cold.
The waiter was not really present and we had a table close to the kitchen where all waiters had to pass by- Terminal 1 at JFK would have been less hectic.
Overall not impressive and at town center there are in this price range better choices.
I have been to Seasons 52 on several occasions and the food and service have always been outstanding. However on this occasion which was Mother’s Day was not a good experience. Our reservation for 6 people was at 6:30. We were seated a few minutes late. The restaurant was over crowded with people waiting for a table. Seasons 52 ran out of food especially mushrooms. We ordered the stuffed mushrooms and were told that was not available. The waitress eventually advised that the appetizer was available. I believe that a run was made to local grocery store for mushrooms. It was over 1 hour and 15 minutes before entrees were served. My wife who ordered mushroom flatbread was advised that it would be a few minutes before it would be ready. After about 30 minutes the waitress delivered the flatbread. She was very apologetic and offered soup. The flatbread was comped. I ordered Greek salad and was told had run out of specific lettuce and offered me a different type of lettuce. Not comped. Our table was offered free dessert. We didn’t leave restaurant until 8:45. Obviously the restaurant had taken reservations and knew that Mother’s Day would be crowded. For a restaurant like Seasons 52 to run out of food is unacceptable
Although I will continue to frequent Seasons 52 I suggest to avoid on special days and make an early reservation like 5:00 or 5:30
Went for Mother’s Day and had a great experience. The food, ambience, service, all impeccable.
I came to Season 52 for mother's day after setting up a reservation a week prior. I ensured to call after booking the table via this app and received a verbal confirmation. My family and extended family all arrived at 6pm (our reservation time) and was told that they were running a little behind and they would call us when the table was ready. It wasn't until 7pm , after checking up after 30 minutes both times, that they said the table was ready. I was greeted by the manager who gave us two flatbreads as a kind gesture from our hour wait. Once we got to the table we gave our drink orders and received two flatbreads (a mushroom and tomato ) both of which weren't exactly the flavors we wanted. I wasn't sure if we got to pick or if the manager picked for us but it came without request. The remainder of the night kept getting worse as we received one steak knife that two people had to share, they didn't notify us that they were out of asparagus and brought us green beans instead with no explanation. Finally, I asked about 3 times for a refill of sweet tea and ended up leaving with an empty cup.
We were there on Mother's Day, so the restaurant was packed and loud. That being said, the service was fantastic and the food was as delicious as ever!! We love Seasons 52!
Quick seating, great service and food was fantastic as usual.
I usually have good things to say but this Mother's Day visit was poor and disappointing. I requested roasted cauliflower instead of mash potatoes. Ten minutes later I was told they are out of it. This as a 5 PM reservation. Then I requested the parmasean crusted cauliflower head appetizer as the replacement, and offered to pay the difference. I was told no problem. Finally the food came out and I was given a plate with an extremely small piece of sea bass and an empty plate, then the staff ran away. I figured it was to get my cauliflower side. Well I waited. And waited. Finally 8 minutes later I began to eat my three bites of sea bass assuming I would one day see the staff again. AFTER my fish was gone, they returned to tell me we are out of the cauliflower appetizer. Disappointed, I asked for the broccoli and they brought out maybe three bites of cold, bland, steamed broccoli. So for $34 I left starved and unsatisfied. Also, EVERY plate at the table had uncooked green beans. The replacements came after the meals were done. No manager ever came by to offer an apology or complimentary dessert. Just an overall poor experience in every way.
I was at Seasons 52 this past Sunday, Mother's Day. The place was very crowded. Luckily we had reservations and our party of 8 was seated only after a short wait.
Our server was great, got everyone waters, our drink orders, and food orders for the little ones right away. Things took a bit long, I'm sure due to the fact that the place was packed with people. Drinks came out... ah nothing like a good long swig of Stone IPA to cool things off.
Food was good quality, but my plank salmon I thought was a bit small. I'm not that big of a dude, 6' + 180lbs, but a 6.5 oz portion of salmon was a bit small. Yummy though and it came out hot. Everyone enjoyed the lobster bisque, especially the 1 1/2 year old:)
I would go back again but wouldn't go on probably one of the busiest days of the year.
Still great ambiance, people were friendly, and good food.
Mothers Day. The one complaint I have was the dishonesty of the bartender. Told me you had 2 pinot Grigios. Both were the 2 expensive ones. But you actually have 4. 2 of which I consider to be reasonably priced. So the bartender was trying to maximize his tip. Bad bad customer relationship. Wont be back
My son and I went here for Mother’s Day brunch. From the moment we entered the hostesses were pleasant. The food was delicious and the server was very attentive. The overall dining experience excellent.
In for mother’s day brunch. A little busy, but otherwise an overall pleasant experience.
Been there two times before this night , was seated promptly and the bartender was great before being seated. That's when everything fell apart, the food was at the very bottom of anything I have bought at any restaurant. I'm sorry about this review because our past visits have been so great.
We dined at Seasons 52 last night. And every part of the experience was top tier. Michael was our waiter and service was impeccable. My wife’s first observation after he first introduced himself and shared some details about the menu was “wow he loves this place”. Now so do we. The food, drinks from the bar, the atmosphere, aside from a little loud (still not bad since every table was filled) and obviously the service was amazing. I highly recommend the filet. One of our new favorite restaurants.
Overall the meal was underwhelming. The flatbreads and dessert shooters were the highlight of the experience. Our entree portions could have been better. The hand rolled lasagna was the least enjoyable dish. Overall it was bland and over cooked. The rainbow trout was decent. The ravioli left you wanting more. Not because of taste just didn’t offer great portions. The salmon was great and the lobster bisque was excellent. Overall the desserts was good.
