Seasons 52 Houston City Centre Ratings and Reviews
Season's 52 is one of our favorites; however, they were off their game just a bit this visit. There was no valet when we pulled up, so we had to self park, By the time we got to the restaurant, there was a valet, The manager said they were understaffed and he had probably just been off parking a car.....
This was a Sunday evening and the restaurant was not full, yet they put us in a booth directly adjacent to an infant in a high chair, The child was struggling a bit and unfortunately the crying made conversation difficult.
Finally, our waiter seemed to have too many tables and it was difficult to get drinks and service timely,
Seasons us usually much better and we will return.
To be honest, I give all the credit to our server Irvin, he went above and beyond. That is what made the huge difference compared to many restaurants. The food, ambiance, and wine was really tasty, delicious and neat, but I will not be able to stop raving about the customer service my friend and I received from Irvin. Very observant, diligent, and an expertise with mannerisms. I am returning for sure, mainly due to his service. Thank you Season’s 52!!
There's absolutely nothing wrong with this place, and it will appeal to a broad spectrum of people, rightfully so. They execute the concept very well. The menu's interesting and full of healthy, enticing options. The service was very good, as was my food and my date's food. I guess I paid about what I'd expected to pay (i.e., reasonable enough, for an upscale lunch).
That said, I just can't shake that chainy feeling. It's like eating at a Hyatt. It's nice, clean and well-thought out, but it's a Hyatt. Not a 4 Seasons, but a Hyatt. It feels very sterile, like it was designed mechanically by soulless MBAs in response to a meticulous analysis of customer satisfaction surveys with no real human, character, creativity or ingenuity.
I'll happily go again if and when it makes sense to go logistically, like maybe a business lunch, but it has absolutely zero emotional appeal. I'm confident I can get comparable food, service and pricing at a more inviting and interesting venue.
Considering we were there for a special occasion, that was noted on the reservation and during the confirmation call, no mention was made of it from the hostess or server while we were there which was disappointing. We spent $200 on our dinner and even tho we enjoyed ourselves we expected a little bit more from seasons 52 to make our special occasion a little more special. 😢
My husband & I chose the $29 3-course Harvest dinner and we were not disappointed. I had the Pear & spinach salad which is always wonderful. My husband had the butternut squash soup which he said was delicious. I had the salmon & he had the Australian rack of lamb which he raved. We shared the chicken & pesto flatbread which we also love. We keep coming here for dinner as we’ve never had a bad meal.
We had a wonderful birthday lunch for four ladies on a Saturday. The service was exceptional even though we were there for several hours. Everyone from the valet parking attendant to the the person who seated us to our waiter did a top notch job. The value was good and food tasty. Three of us enjoyed the butternut squash soup. We would definitely go back:)
This was me and my wife's first time at Seasons 52. The service was great and the food was amazing!! The restaurants vibe is really ellegant but very hospitable. I had the New York strip steak with mash potatoes and a green bean and brussel sprout leafs combination. The steak was juicy and tender and I paired it with the fireman's #44 beer. It was an epic meal. My wife had the lamb shank meal and it was equally awesome. We were celebrating our 6 month anniversary since we got hitched and we were not disappointed. We will definitely be back. Make sure you try the mini indulgences. They are the perfect size to finish off your meal!! Stewart our waiter was very helpful and he knew that menu well.
Food was so incredibly fresh and flavorful!! Very relaxing environment. Noise level was low so conversation at the table was pleasant. Service needs improvement. Non attentive staff. Seemed rushed and absent. Dinner from seating to leaving took over two hours. We had to find our server to pay the tab. A manager never stopped by our table. Water glasses weren't refilled, etc. it did not appear to be a super busy evening. A bit disorganized on the management - no one at the hostess stand for several minutes. Will definitely return for the food and ambiance but hope the service improves.
The staff was very attentive. My sister is using a walker, the hostess saw us before we arrived at the door, opened the door and led us to a nearby table for ease of egress. The food was very tasty. The value for the price was great because it was Restaurant Week (month this year). Very pleasant atmosphere.
The young lady at the door was very welcoming coming and leaving (I did not get her name). However Brandon the 'coordinator' approached as she was welcoming us, he never spoke or made eye contact. He walked up, pressed a button, handed her a ticket and then she sat us... he seemed pretty cold. When we were leaving she said goodbye and he never said a word. I thought it was rude and he should not be at the front because of he were alone
he would have ruined my experience because he would have set the tone...
Malik our waiter was extremely professionally and maintained that professionalism even when we asked for the 'Restaurant Weeks Menu'. He was very knowledgeable about the menu. He also maintain his composure and remain cordial even after we returned our alcoholic beverages.
I thought it was a nice touch that the chef brings your food out and he was cordial as well and attentive to the fact that we were finished with our salads and remove them instead of piling food on top of each other at the table... overall Great experience...
Went for a reunion of sorts with my sisters. Sat promptly at our reservation time. Waited a few minutes for service but the manager jumped in to help. Much appreciated as we were trying to hit the happy hour cutoff! We all ordered seafood, 2 of us from the Restaurants Weeks menu. All were fabulous . . . scallops, shrimp and grits and cedar plank salmon. Never had a bad meal at Seasons 52 !
We went for Houston restaurant week, and the food was absolutely delicious. Not only was the food great, the waitress was attentive and personable. So far I have been to this restaurant for HRW 2 years in a row and have had such a wonderful experience. Love this place.
