Seasons 52 - Edison Ratings and Reviews
We enjoyed our appetizer - the roasted cauliflower. It was very tasty and perfect for two people to share. I enjoyed the shrimp and grits but the cedar-planked salmon was a bit disappointing. I can't wait to try the rest of the menu! A fun place to meet with friends!
This is one of my favorite spots for business lunches. The season menu is great and keeps it fresh year round. I love their Nantucket Scallops that they get local and fresh! Also their Caramelized Pear and Burrata salad is to die for.... The touch of honeycomb brings the dish together nicely!
This was a perfect meeting place for friends from North Jersey and us from the shore. We enjoyed the food . I had the trout which was excellent, though seasoned a bit too salty. My wife had the pork chops which she described as perfect. We did not feel rushed and were therefore able to make it a wonderful social evening.
Came day before New Years Eve to have dinner with family. Daughter and son were first-timers. My wife and I are already fans of Seasons 52. Kids enjoyed it thoroughly. I wouldn’t be surprised if they return. Good food, good service and a nice atmosphere in this restaurant.
We were seated in an area near the entry to the kitchen for our reserved table. The table was wobbly and unsteady. For some reason a draft existed in this area. Our first reaction was to request another table that was private, secluded and quite - after all, it was our anniversary. But, we opted not make the request since the wait was very long and some folks had waited an hour. Instead, we requested the waitress place some coasters under one of the legs of the table to steady it; my wife put her coat around her shoulders for warmth and comfort; but we couldn't do anything about the noise level.
Everything else was excellent as we always expect at Seasons 52 - Superb service from our waitress, delicious food prepared to our liking, and complimentary photo, champagne and dessert!
I have eaten here many times but this time the food was awful. We both ordered the scallops with risotto. It came out cold and after sending it back twice we just gave up and ordered something else which was ok. Besides being cold, the risotto had liquid running out from it as well.
In the past we were comped when this happened but nothing was offered to us by the manager. The waiter offered us a drink on him but we did not want him to incur the expense.
Sorry that our experience was less than acceptable.
We enjoyed our first date here. The restaurant was huge, but it felt cozy. The hostess and our server were expecting us (Open Table res) and were very attentive to us. The server (Anthony) was very helpful with suggesting drinks and menu items. Everything was delicious and the drinks were interesting and tasty. There was a piano player singing from behind the bar. The decor and design of the restaurant was well thought out to create a cozy dining spot anywhere in the restaurant. I will go back for sure.
It was our anniversary, so decided to try out this place. It was very nice that they set up a special table for us once they saw I posted it was for an anniversary dinner. Even though it was a Tuesday, they had a piano player there.. even better, a nice touch was the pianist also played a very nice song dedicated for us. Price overall was above normal for the place and service.. would definitely come back.
We went on a whim to try something different and my oh my were we surprised. The entrance alone sets the tone for whats to come. The ambiance is magnificent and the decor was definitely well thought out. I ordered the lobster bisque and lobster & mozzarella flatbread, my lady ordered the southern style shrimp and grits. Both were superbly prepared. The mimosas were a little strong and tart, but not too over bearing. We then had the mini dessert cups because they looked so good just sitting there. Our server Xio (I hope I have her name correctly) she was extremely patient with us as it was our first time so we weren't familiar with the menu. She took time to explain the revised winter menu a even answered our questions about reserving a private room. Absolutely LOVED THIS PLACE!!!
This was our 3rd time as a company group to Seasons 52. Everyone enjoys the appetizers and their meals. The biggest hit with my co-workers are the deserts and the perfect portion size for each to have a choice and not an overwhelming desert that can't be finished by one person.
Absolutely a hard find experience. Had a 730 reservation, arrived at 7:25. She did not even say hello. Then she said “we will see you after we seat all of the 730 parties”. We were Saturday 10. Forced to stand at a bar that was totally full, no seats. We waited and waited. I finally looked down at my phone and at 7:55 Seasons 52 texted me did you say my table is ready. It would’ve been nice to know this method, hostess Gould have told us. I asked for a quiet cozy table, we were forced all the way in the back and it was on a corner where there’s a lot of people passing, hardly honoring my request. After the hostess put our menus down I said “excuse me may I speak with you for second. Please tell the manager that I am very upset at the late seat time. The whole idea of Open Table and a reservation is to be seated on time.” She turned, half listening and said “ok sure” and walked away quickly. I felt horrible, like a total number. Food was good, nice presentation. I spent $173.00... NOT worth it. I felt like a total number, and the waiter was nowhere to be found. We asked for a glass of water for times when he finally brought the water he forgot the lemon that we asked for as well. So five trips for water. He could’ve been overwhelmed because we did not see much of him at all. After he dropped the check he came back about 90 seconds later asking if you could take the check for me, that was about the most efficient part of the evening for that gentlemen. Unreal... really bad and no one does anything about it.
