Seasons 52 - Edison Ratings and Reviews
We went on a whim to try something different and my oh my were we surprised. The entrance alone sets the tone for whats to come. The ambiance is magnificent and the decor was definitely well thought out. I ordered the lobster bisque and lobster & mozzarella flatbread, my lady ordered the southern style shrimp and grits. Both were superbly prepared. The mimosas were a little strong and tart, but not too over bearing. We then had the mini dessert cups because they looked so good just sitting there. Our server Xio (I hope I have her name correctly) she was extremely patient with us as it was our first time so we weren't familiar with the menu. She took time to explain the revised winter menu a even answered our questions about reserving a private room. Absolutely LOVED THIS PLACE!!!
This was our 3rd time as a company group to Seasons 52. Everyone enjoys the appetizers and their meals. The biggest hit with my co-workers are the deserts and the perfect portion size for each to have a choice and not an overwhelming desert that can't be finished by one person.
Absolutely a hard find experience. Had a 730 reservation, arrived at 7:25. She did not even say hello. Then she said “we will see you after we seat all of the 730 parties”. We were Saturday 10. Forced to stand at a bar that was totally full, no seats. We waited and waited. I finally looked down at my phone and at 7:55 Seasons 52 texted me did you say my table is ready. It would’ve been nice to know this method, hostess Gould have told us. I asked for a quiet cozy table, we were forced all the way in the back and it was on a corner where there’s a lot of people passing, hardly honoring my request. After the hostess put our menus down I said “excuse me may I speak with you for second. Please tell the manager that I am very upset at the late seat time. The whole idea of Open Table and a reservation is to be seated on time.” She turned, half listening and said “ok sure” and walked away quickly. I felt horrible, like a total number. Food was good, nice presentation. I spent $173.00... NOT worth it. I felt like a total number, and the waiter was nowhere to be found. We asked for a glass of water for times when he finally brought the water he forgot the lemon that we asked for as well. So five trips for water. He could’ve been overwhelmed because we did not see much of him at all. After he dropped the check he came back about 90 seconds later asking if you could take the check for me, that was about the most efficient part of the evening for that gentlemen. Unreal... really bad and no one does anything about it.
The food was delicious - no complaints there. However the service was mediocre. We purchased a moderately priced bottle of wine and wasn’t asked to taste it prior to our glasses being poured. No steak knives were brought out to us until we asked for them. With that being said I am still looking forward to giving this place another shot.
Our wait person was efficient but colorless, non engaging and not quite human. If we wanted food slung at we’d go to a diner. She was efficient and gave basic courtesy but Based on my previous visit this one was cold and dry. Probably should find another profession.
We were seated quickly at a booth in the bar area. They had a live singer/piano player who played a mix of '80s and '90s songs. He added a lot to the atmosphere. We made it early enough to enjoy happy hour drinks and apps. Very nice. We all had seafood, cedar plank salmon and grilled tuna. Both were prepared well and very good. Desserts were also good. My third time there. It does. It disappoint.
A truly exceptional meal, starting with the $5 apps and $7 drinks during happy hour, which we didn't even know until we sat down and read the menus. We had the meatballs, the duck wing lollipops, the ahi tuna and the shisito peppers--all of which were great. For dinner our group had the short ribs, Nantucket bay scallops, pork tenderloin and the sea bass, again all great. This is a comfortable restaurant with a great menu and very good service. There's nothing we would change except its location. We'd move it closer to where we live.
My family and I had a wonderful time today at Seasons 52. Our food was delicious but what really made the day stand out was our server Hailey. She truly went above and beyond to make our experience special. I hope that she or her manager reads this and knows how much that meant to me and all of my family. Would definitely recommend this place for a special occasion or just a nice lunch/dinner. Absolutely no complaints at all.
This was our 4th time here, and it will be our last. We had issues last time, and that was with service, but this time, it was more about the food. The crab cake app was good, nothing amazing, but we liked it. My husband's tuna was horrible. The piece of fish was not good, and it was also very overcooked; I tried it then spit it out. I had the scallops (not sure which, but they were small scallops). They were drowned in olive oil which was super cloying, not the taste I crave when visiting a fine dining establishment. Service was slow too, just like last time. At least they comped my hubby's meal and gave us free dessert, which WAS tasty. With so many better options for a date night, we will not be returning.
Yes this is a chain but don't let that keep you away. This is a beautiful restaurant with an open kitchen and terrific lighting and acoustics. The bar is busy with live music. The menu is very interesting and the food is fresh and delicious. We sat in a booth in the bar area this visit which was nice because were able to enjoy the singer/keyboard player who was very good and made us wanted to extend our stay for one more excellent martini.
went for the harvest menu before it expired for the second time during the promotion. Value was excellent for the $29 prix fixe and the portions were generous. The only issue was that our waiter forgot our side dish and after prompting him, he had to reorder it which wasn't a big deal. The maitre d' also came over and was apologetic as well. The dessert I ordered was lacking an ingredient but was quickly rectified. Over all a good experience.
I have been to this location several times in the past. The food was not up to the usual level. My scallops came with a risotto that was completely tasteless. I had brocollini with my meal that was overly large and tough. The waiter never refilled our water glasses and the piano bar music was insanely loud. Overall not a great experience.
The four of us all selected one of the pre fix dinners, as our waiter Brent explained that portions were the same as ordering from the regular menu. A survey afterwards proved that Seasons 52 is one of the best chains around.
Beef short ribs, cedar plank salmon, filet mignon all done as requested and delicious.
Our group has a get together three times a year. We have chosen Season's 52 because of the outstanding qualities of the restaurant. We are pleasantly greeted, escorted to our table, and a friendly and informative server is there to answer any questions. All were pleased with the food choices, the cocktails, and the sampler dessert. A great place to dine, and be able to have conversation at the table. Jane
My family and I have been to this restaurant over 10 times. Service is always great as is the food. My son, and my son's girlfriend are both Celiac and cannot have Gluten. One of the reasons we go here is because of there GF menu.
My strong disappointment this visit came when we tried to order dessert!! We were told that the "chef" did not make a Gluten Free dessert for tonight's meal. To say the least we were incensed, as we were celebrating my wife's birthday.
Shame on you Season's 52. Our first bad experience at this restaurant.
Wonderful ahi tuna tartar with avocado and mango and chicken skewers to start. We always enjoy the rainbow trout blackened with the all green veggie sides. The filet mignon, grilled medium rare was also a nice meat option. Service is friendly and accommodating when dealing with dietary restrictions. The wine list is pretty diverse with a nice selection of Napa Cabernets. S52 is a good choice for dining when you want a stress free experience.
