Seasons 52 - Costa Mesa Ratings and Reviews
The hostesses were quite rude and seated many diners ahead of us even though we had reservations and some of those diners arrived well after we did. Probably waited 15-20 to be seated. Our waitress on the other hand was very friendly. Food was okay but not great. Ambiance is nice and lively but not overwhelming.
I've been dining at Seasons 52 ever since I moved to Irvine about 3 years ago and it has become my favorite restaurant. Everyone-from the waiters to the chefs to the greeters-is absolutely amazing. I have never had a bad experience at Seasons 52. I love the seasonal and healthy menu and the way the staff takes careful consideration when preparing and presenting dishes. The food is always delicious and the atmosphere is always inviting. Can't wait for my next visit!
Live music at the bar by a friendly and talented piano player. His playlist is impressive. The ambiance is wonderful. Friendly and knowledgeable bartenders and staff. I could have done without the TVs in the bar but that’s an annoyance everywhere. There’s are tucked up and away so not as annoying. Food was wonderful and our server Ashley was a delight. We loved this experience.
Our dinner experience were good. From food perceptions they need better presentation on the seasonal items. The lamb were tender but the sauce were sweet that kinda killed the taste. But also the mac and cheese were dry but i do love the cauliflower crumbs that is spread on top of it. The scene were romantic and perfect for special occasions.
Seasons 52 is always a favorite of ours. Nice ambiance even for a extremely busy night like Valentine's Day. The wait time was reasonable. Wait staff is extremely friendly and attentive.
Pacing of food service was a little faster than what we have experienced in the past, but still we did not feel overly rushed to leave. We had another lovely evening!
The Happy Hour is an amazing deal. Servers give the same great service as they give the table ordering a lot more off the regular menu. Be friendly with them and be impressed. Tip generously. The food is always delicious and nicely presented. Reservations are a must most days. Use Open Table!
Great for business lunch or evening happy hour, with a great choice of starters, small plates and great dinners. The food is wonderful and cannot go wrong on any pick. Recommendation is cauliflower with Gruyere cheese. Amazing! Fun and alive atmosphere and has outside dining as well. Do not miss this place.
The place has a good flow of people. Reservations are welcomed but walk-in ok. When I was there it was extremely loud. We had a group next to us and though there was carpet on the floor, didn't do much to muffle the group. The food came out in a timely manner, the waiter very friendly and informative, kept our cups of tea and coffee filled. And the price was very reasonable. I had the Chilean Sea Bass, my partner had scallops and we shared a spinach and walnut salad. She had tea, and I had coffee. Total bill including tip was just a bit over 50. We spend more than that at a sushi shop.
Our wonderful experience began the moment we (4) were seated. Our waitress was attentive with out being too conspicuous and very informative. I had included a food allergy with my reservation and she confirmed that and made sure I was aware of which foods contained the allergen. All of our entrees were served in a timely manner and when I found a piece of plastic in mine, I was given a completely new dish. Our server brought a lovely "Pudding Tree" for our birthday person, which was compliments of the restaurant, as was my dinner. We alerted our server that we were going to see Kristin Chenowith and she made sure we were served and out the door in plenty of time!! Great food, ambience and service, thanks Seaons 52!!
Arrived a little early for our Saturday 5:30 PM reservation and were seated with no delay. Very attentive and friendly wait staff. Interesting and well-prepared dishes - all were good, a few were great. Will definitely be on our re-visit list when we're pre-theater dining. Room was a tad loud, especially with the live music in the bar, but we were able to hear one another and didn't feel we needed to shout. Note - If you're not planning on using valet parking, be sure to allow a little extra time to navigate the mall parking lot.
We love Seasons 52 and always enjoy the seasonal offerings. This time around we had the chicken pesto flatbread, the salmon and the trout for entrees and a few of the small desserts which are always a treat. We can dine here and the calories do not pile up as in other places.
The duck lollipops were excellent. The spinach and pear salad was underdressed. I had the sea bass which I thought was a little underdone, the pea pods and mushrooms with it were good. My husband had the meatloaf, it had a strange spice in it that I didn’t care for. Overall just average.
Overall, we had a good experience. We were celebrating an achievement. The server even brought a mini amount of sparkling wine (Sprite for our daughter) to use for a toast. It was just a bit too loud to hear each other talk over dinner. The restaurant could benefit by adding some noise dampening features to the rooms.
