Seasons 52 - Costa Mesa Ratings and Reviews
5:45pm reservation for 5. Table wasn’t ready until 6:15. I had theater tickets for 7:30, so the delayed seating resulted in a very rushed and stressful dinner. Not the way to start the holidays. I was told that other guests were lingering at their tables. You’ve been in business long enough to know your table turn times and that they are different during the holidays.
Lunch time during holiday season, a little noisy with office groups but not unexpected. The food was perfect from flatbread to dessert. The noise settled when large parties left and the service was efficient and polite. A lovely lunch respite from shopping. The manager gave us a $25 gift certificate for a return visit, much appreciated. The wine list is excellent, we enjoyed a French rose with lunch . I appreciate the thoughtful wine selections.
Seasons 52 has a reputation for quality, season, menu items and Fantastic service. Our visit was excellent. Our server, Brandon, was friendly and able to take care of all of our desires. We have been to Season 52 several times and never been disappointed with their creative and delicious items. You'll have a hard time deciding between some wonderful entrees or appetizers or salads. And you can't find a better offering of just-the-right dessert.
This has been a favorite for many years but I don’t know if there has been a change in management or what but the service and menu was very disappointing. I used to rave about the wait staff and the choice of unique and healthy options they offered but it just didn’t measure up to my past experiences there. I won’t be going back.
Very disappointed with our experience this evening. First, the request I made for a special table was overlooked. Secondly, the advertised scallops special that we came for was unavailable even though I received two emails that it was available. Thirdly, the server had one of the meals wrong and initially did not take our issues seriously. When I asked to speak with the manager, Josh, did assist us by listening to our concerns and trying to rectify the series of mishaps that took place that evening. We have dined at this location regularly but felt we were treated very poorly prior to the manager’s intervention this evening. Will think twice about returning to this location.
Over the many times we've been to Seasons 52, we have had a variety of experiences. This year both food and service have improved to the level that we look forward to our next visit as we are leaving the current one. The seasonal selections are familiar but prepared somehow to be very special. Happy Hour offerings have become small bites of wonderful things from the dinner menu. It's now a value proposition as well as a quality one.
Season’ s 52 offers contemporary cuisine in a casual setting. The dishes vary per season, which is very appreciated. The food is really very good and I also love the “ mini deserts” , which are just the right size. The service is very attentive and friendly.
It can get busy but the restaurant seats the guests appropriately.
Our meal was excellent - we had a booth, so it was a bit quieter than the rest of the restaurant, so we were able to visit without yelling.
The only problem was that we ordered coffee and hot tea at the end of our meal. We had informed our waiter that we had to leave at 7:00 to get to the theater, but it took 10 minutes to get our coffee and tea so we had to send it back. Had been hoping for a cup of coffee/tea and dessert, but unfortunately ran out of time. Unfortunate it took so long to get a cup of coffee.
