Seasons 52 - Coral Gables Ratings and Reviews
I’ve always liked Seasons 52, except this time. Out of 4 different dishes, only one was really good. The rest were less than ordinary. I would say quality went down. Also, our waiter was not attentive. It took a while for him to have two glasses of wine and one beer. I ordered wine and he brought the bottle but nit the glass which he grabbed from the next table. I was just very dissapointed.
Nice dinner as usual but disappointed that after letting the restaurant know we were celebrating a birthday the occasion was not recognized. We have been regular visitors to Seasons 52 at various locations since they first opened and usually birthdays and anniversaries are recognized with a glass of bubbly or a dessert and often a card as well, on this visit the birthday was not mentioned or recognized even though it was noted on the reservation.
Never seems to fail, always makes the dining experience feel as if you are family there. The bartender and waiter are very knowledgeable in speaking about different choices. Very attentive in how you are treated from the moment you check in for a reservation, if you have one, to the moment you leave. Food choices are calorie cautious as well as the desserts.
Really bad service.. the hostess called me Michelle.. My name is Michael. I asked for a cheese burger and the waiter asked me if I wanted to add cheese for a $1. I told him doesn’t the cheeseburger come with cheese? He had to read the menu to make sure if a CHEESEburger comes with cheese. My wife’s meal was completely undercooked.. it was chicken and it was pink on the inside.. they took it off the check but it was a horrible experience never again. Would recommend this place to my worst enemy.
Seasons 52 in Coral Gables is a great place for everyday dining, date, special occasion, business and friends get-together. Excellent service and consistently great food. Six of us were all pleased with our entrees. Short ribs, scallops, trout, steak and ahi tuna/salad received rave reviews. Dinner was capped off by the restaurants’s fun, complex mini desserts.
Have dined there many times and have expectations have always been met or exceeded.
Roma Tomato Flatbread was delicious (would have been better with balsamic drizzle). My salmon was delicious and I was able to substitute and get the leek and butternut squash risotto (which was very flavorful). The lower rating is for my husbands meal, wood-grilled pork tenderloin, which was dry and chewy, the noise level, and the server who had trouble understanding my substitution (or perhaps it was just too loud for her).
We usually enjoy this restaurant very much but in this occasion (1/1/18) the service was subpar. The blonde hostess would not even look at you when she was talking to us. She looked uninterested & with little desire to work. She left us on the side & would not show us to our table. I had to address her 3 times until she finally sat us. The restaurant ran out of available high chairs so for the first 20 min I carried my son while placing our order. Our waitor would forget to bring us the wine that we ordered, the bread basket, our waters. I asked for a side of risotto for my toddler & it got to the table as we were asking for the check (we skipped the dessert-everything was delayed). Ironically my wife & I were there the night before for an early new years eve dinner ; it seemed that the restaurant was busier but it ran like a clock & the service was excellent. Maybe the staff did not want to work on new years day. I’ll make an exception to my last comment: in the front, next to the sleepy blond hostess there was a young, vibrant, Hispanic girl also working as a hostess & actually helping guests to their table. I don’t know her name but she was cheerful, helpful & very nice. She brought us a high chair as soon as it was available. She greeted everyone with a smile. She shined above all the other staff members that we dealt with on 1/1/18.
We’ll give it another try. I’ll let you know how it goes...
Had to have table moved from small dark room to the main dining room. Our waitor was not very good. Spent his time at the table next to us, basically ignoring us. The food came out no one cleared the apetizer plates till I asked. The salmon was very dry. The waitor finally asked how everything was I told him he asked if I wanted another piece. I already ate half. I had to ask about deserts.
We normally love this restaurant I hope this is not what the future visits will be like.
Seasons 52 has become one of our go-to standby places. I waited just a little too late to book Christmas Eve dinner reservations and several good options were totally booked. Even though we have recently had dinner at Seasons 52 earlier in December we returned for Christmas Eve dinner, knowing that we would have an excellent meal with good service. We were not disappointed! Our server, Matthew, was very friendly and personable and gave us just the right amount of attention. The food was delicious as always. Having enjoyed dinner there recently we were prompted to try some dishes we do not usually consider and discovered that even these dishes were excellent. The pork loin was tender (I usually avoid it on restaurant menus as they often cook it to a point of being too dry to enjoy, but not this one.) And of course the mini-desserts were just the right completion to our meal.
