Seasons 52 - Cincinnati Ratings and Reviews
Throughly enjoyed my visit today for lunch. With the exception of my cocktail not being what I asked for, overall the experience was very good. The Field Green salad with White Balsamic is my favorite and paired with a flatbread is a wonderful light but filling lunch.
We had an open table reservation for 6:30.... the lobby was packed and we had to wait in the bar for 30 minutes. We were not happy about that. Most of the time we come to Seasons we get seated right away. This night was packed. Why did they double book the reservations.??
Will not choose this place for a Saturday night again. Too crowded.
We sat in the back room and the noise level was high. It was also a little challenging to get around all of the tables. They seemed very close to each other. The food was decent. I enjoyed my meal, however; I don't think I will go back any time soon. With all of the options around the Cincinnati area I don't feel like the service, ambiance, and food was worth the money.
I have been there several times, and recently went with a friend and my 14 year old granddaughter before going to the Aronoff. All of us loved every dish we had. Two of us eat gluten free, and there were many options. The squash soup, the salmon, the spinach salad, the roast chicken and the desserts were all excellent. Service was excellent. Its one of our very favorite restaurants.
Usually love this place but had a poor experience last time. Food was subpar, the carrots way over cooked/burnt, the trout not great and the Brussels sprouts super soggy. We were also sat next to the loudest most annoying group of people which made for a super unpleasant evening.... will not be coming back...
We had reservations, but table still not ready for 30 minutes. We did get a free flatbread for the wait. The quality has gone down since it opened. Capital Grill costs more, but the steaks are worth it. Seasons 52 not a good place for steak or short rib. New places in OTR offer much better short rib for less cost. Food was lukewarm when served.
There were nine of us for a very early dinner(4:30) before a playhouse in the park presentation at 7 pm. Our server was aware of out time schedule and did everything possible to get us out in time for the trip to the Playhouse. She had several personal recommendations which several of us took advantage of.
We all enjoyed the food, ambience and of course our own company.
I love the location of this restaurant. My grandmother and I stopped by here for a sunday lunch prior to a CSO performance at Music Hall.
The sunroom is perfect for Brunch and if the weather cooperates the staff typically opens the glass doors to allow the fresh air into the room.
Overall, the meal was very nice but there were 2 issues that arose:
1. The Host wanted to bunch the reservations next to each other when there was plenty of tables in other areas of the room. This really is an Art form and the Host(ess) should be conscious of what phase of the dining experience the guests are within and cluster the reservations around the room. We had to talk over 3 women who were very loud and my 80 year old grandmother is quite and difficult to hear so conversation was difficult.
2. My grandmother ordered the crab lump and the hostess placed the order for the crab cake. When the crab cake came to the table, the hostess was not receptive to appologizing for this mistake and made my grandmother and I feel as if we were at fault for her incorrect assumption. The manager came out and we explained what we ordered and what had happened but it was evident that there was some miscommunication by the hostess and we felt the need to reassure the hostess we were "happy".
We understand mistakes happen but it really comes down to how your organization takes feedback from guests during their dining experience that will have them coming back or not.
Wife and I enjoyed our 16th anniversary dinner here. We stumbled upon it via OpenTable the same day right after breakfast. From parking to dessert, this place didn’t disappoint. A franchise without a franchise feel. Such a wonderful experience and we can’t wait to go back.
Co workers and I wanted to celebrate a hard week at work and Seasons 52 did not fail us. The service was impeccable and the menu selections were truly appealing. The $29 Harvest special was a hit with the 5 choices of entrees. Two of us selected the filet mignon and the other selected the beef ribs. We all were impressed. The spinach salad with pears is a great starter to an excellent meal. For dessert I had the carrot cake a mini indulgence that satisfied your sweet tooth without getting blotted. All healthy choices without tasting bland.
Our recent visit was a combination business dinner and birthday celebration. Therefore it was important that the birthday be acknowledged but in a quiet subtle manner and that is exactly what we experienced. Our server, Tiffaney, could not have done a better job with the service and friendliness. As always, the food was delicious and we can't wait for a return visit.
I can't tell you how disappointed I was with the server Dee, she was the worst waitress I have had in years. We have been to this restaurant three times. The first time, it was pretty good. The second time, AMAZING. The waiter was the best that time. He made recommendations. He helped with wine selections. He was timely and kind. This time REALLY disappointing. We brought two friends for her birthday and talked it up after our last visit. What a mistake. The food overall was pretty good. The flatbread was great. Each of our dinners were good to very good. We all got something different, lamb shank - he said delicious. The salmon was great. The filet was good and the short rib OK. The only thing not good on the food, was the mushroom bisque. It was not bisque. It tasted like french onion soup minus the cheese and some mushrooms, but what was terrible was the waitress. First she was about 10 minutes late. We sat and sat and finally she showed up with four small glasses of sparkling- for the birthday. Great. We thought how nice, but then she spoke. She didn't apologize for the wait or even say Happy Birthday! She said whose Birthday? We asked about the harvest dinner and before I could finish my sentence she ran off. Then we said we also wanted to ask about the flatbread happy hour special. She ran off again. If she had waited just a minute, we could have said both. Then before we could finish our small drink, she literally stuck her hand in front of me while I had to promptly finish. Then we asked about the wine. She said to me "your on your own there". What? Who says this to guests? After we ordered a flatbread and glass of wine, she started taking our menus away. We had to say, we are going to order dinner. A little bit later she slammed the small plates on the table. I actually jumped. She was "short" with us. Not welcoming or kind, she would rush around. She actually made us stressed. gets worse, but no room to continue.
It is such a treat in the Fall to see squash and mushroom dishes on the menu. The squash and mushroom soups are delicious and healthy options, and the mushroom flatbread is a real treat. Thank you for being a "seasonal" restaurant, offering new items every week of the year.
Very great experience. She met my daughter from UC and her boyfriend for a dinner before we headed back to Columbus. They were a tad late and our server, Nikki, was fantastic. We ordered appetizers that arrived just as our guests arrive. Food and service were excellent and seasonal menu looked delicious. This restaurant is fresh, seasonal and close to both Universities. Always a staple when we visit Cincy.
I enjoyed a wonderful dinner at Seasons52 with my family. We all loved the food, and the service was outstanding! I especially liked the cedar-plank roasted salmon entree, and the salad with spinach and caramelized Bosc pear. Also, the "pecan pie" dessert was delicious.
