Wife and I went for late dinner so not. Crowded. Sat at bar. Staff very nice, got visit from manager. Food pretty good overall. Nice pour on drinks. Bartenders cool. Live the look and feel of the place. Cool, sophisticated.

We like this restaurant because of the lighter (calorie-wise) menu.

There were four people in our party. Two of them had never been to the restaurant before. On the way out they make sure to tell the hostess that they enjoyed it and will be back. The variety of the menu, creative combinations and the presentation where all lovely. We especially appreciated the focus on healthy options and the listing of the calories for each dish.

My wife and I have found this little gem in Birmingham. Bar and booth seating were fantastic! Atmosphere, service, food and drinks were great! We felt so at ease from the moment the Valet opened the front door to the time we left!

I go to Seasons 52 quite often. Also, I usually give a great review - but - something must have been going on in the kitchen and front of house this past Sunday night. While it
was not busy, we waited awhile to be seated. Then, it was longer than I am used to at Seasons, we did not see any wait staff (not the normal). We met our waiter finally. He was great! Friends, prompt, helpful. It too awhile for all of our food to come out - unusually long for a not busy time. Usually I LOVE the food. That night, it was just okay - to blah for one of our guests. The salmon and sides were not wow like we usually expect. I don't know how they called the dish shrimp and grits that name - not many grits. Maybe it was just a bad night - that happens. We will come back but if that happens again - bye bye.

Food is always good here.
Poor management - they ran out of many menu items (salmon, meat loaf, peanut butter mini dessert and key lime mini dessert). I expect there were other items , but that's what we were made aware of. Managers don't walk around and interact with their guests.

Service is usually very good, but they tried to rush us out. Ordered an appetizer, salad, and dessert. Appetizer and salads were delivered together. While our salads were off to the side, they brought out our dinner. I rejected it as we had not even started our salads yet. They put our entrees under a heat lamp for quite a while. If you go here, suggest ordering in stages as they were inept at delivering the food in a logical, timely fashion.

Usually a dependable choice for dining. This time took company and it just wasn't what it should have been. Several things just were "off" for the night but a couple that immediately come to mind: first, we were seated at a table that could only be described as "windy", and two members of our dining party were elderly. The whole evening it was a cold wind blowing across us. Secondly, I ordered the shrimp and grits and I can say that it was the worst shrimp and grits I have ever had. A meager amount of very salty grits loaded with a huge amount of sliced garlic (I love garlic but that was ridiculous), sausage bits and a few shrimp. I resorted to picking through the food and plucking out as much garlic as possible but there was nothing I could do about the salt or the lack of a decent amount of grits. The others in my party enjoyed their dinners.

Our latest visit was on Christmas Eve. I recognize that restaurants can get hectic and understaffed at the holidays and peak times. This visit and our previous one before that have both left us a little disappointed. We always make a reservation when we go. Previously, we were kept waiting for 45 minutes. We were eventually told with much apology that our ticket had been dropped on the floor and therefore overlooked. The manager gave us attention for the rest of the night and it actually ended up being a fun experience because of it. This time, we had our reservation and were kept waiting for 30 minutes with no explanation or apology. Again, I recognize restaurants can't control how long patrons sit and visit. However, we usually end up spending $150-$200 for two people when we go. So there's also an expectation that restaurants at that level know how to run a schedule.
Upon being seated, we were told the kitchen was out of broccolini. OK, it happens. But again, it reflects on poor planning. Broccolini is not a terribly important side dish to me. But the particular dishes we ordered that night, Chilean sea bass and seared scallops, worked best with it. The kitchen substituted green beans... not great... but OK. The presentation of the beans, however, was well undercooked... not al dente... undercooked.
Lastly, the bathrooms were also understocked... another reflection on planning and professionalism. There were thin, standard, square napkins being used for paper towels.
I don't write-off a good restaurant for a bad night. Some of the above mentioned, however, are feeling more like they could be a pattern rather than a fluke. I'll probably try Season 52 one more time to see if it returns to it's former glory with me. If not, I probably won't stop going all-together. However, I will likely down-grade it from a finer dining establishment to a more run of the meal chain. I hope that doesn't happen.

We come here regularly, but our ladies group comes here every December for dinner and Dirty Santa. It is great for accommodating the food restrictions in our group. Our server was very attentive and nice. The food was great as were the appetizers. Highly recommend.

Disappointing evening this time. Service was certainly lacking but the food was excellent. We met a special friend here because we enjoy the food and the staff. Our friend was unfamiliar with Seasons and we were excited to share our special restaurant. Sadly, the service made many missteps and the evening was somewhat spoiled. We will return since this was a rare occurrence.

The food was delicious, but we waited 35' to even get a drink. Our server was very nice but never around. She said the bar was backed up and that is why our drinks took so long -- one was a mixed drink but the other three people ordered wine. How long does it take to pour a glass of wine?
I will go back but maybe not during a holiday season.

Wasn't too impressed with Seasons 52. I have heard good things about it so maybe we just came in on an off night. My husband ordered the Ny Strip and it was very lacking in flavor. The mashed potatoes were the worst mashed potatoes I have ever tried not sure how you messed those up. They tasted like they were frozen and defrosted. My friends husband added a side of Truffle mac and cheese and the "truffles" looked like button nose mushrooms! My shrimp scampi wasn't much to be desired for. My friend ordered a salad which looked and according to her tasted amazing and a cup of lobster bisque. At first they brought her chicken noodle and once they finally got her bisque out to her it was lukewarm and not worth finishing.
