Seasons 52 - Altamonte Springs Ratings and Reviews
I bring friends to Seasons 52 often enough and happily enough to tell you today's service was one of the worst experiences I've had in any nice restaurant. No less than five waitstaff dealt with us. Almost no request was handled without us having to make a second request. The second request – and a couple of times a third request--had to be repeated for the next new waitperson. This includes a water requested at the start of the meal and delivered finally with dessert. The first two staff left us to start pouring drinks behind the bar apparently not asking anyone to take their/our station. We waited about 40 minutes to get a food order in. Fortunately the food was as good as usual, but since this event was a birthday lunch I was embarrassed. By the way, no one ever said they were sorry for the delays or that we had to get up and ask someone to help find our staff person so we could get additional drinks and then later the check.
If everyone is responsible for a table then no one is responsible. And if this is Seasons 52's new staffing policy and not just a very bad day, you might want to rethink it or train them to check on tables and make eye contact when they are roaming around so that they could perhaps see diners waving at them.
The food is always good. The service this time was not. We were seated, but no water or server came for ten minutes. After we ordered we didn’t see our server again until the bill came. We ordered a bread basket and it came right before our dinner was served. We also ordered a side of Brussel sprouts to come with dinner, but that came out shortly after our app.
Restaurant was busy, but could tell when we sat down the service was a cluster from start to finish.
We love Seasons 52. We just wish it was a little closer to us. We actually drive over an hour to eat there. So we use it for special occasions. But we would certainly enjoy eating there more often if it was closer.
We especially like to have lunch there. Even lunch seems extra special at Seasons. The staff is especially friendly, and my husband was very impressed with the hand-written birthday card.
My reservation was at 7pm. The large party before our reservation didn’t want to leave there table after they were clearly done with dinner. This caused us to not sit down until 8pm. With a party of 14 you could imagine having a reservation and waiting an hour to sit would have been a bad experience. But this night the manager explained and showed me the table not leaving and did everything in his power to make us have a great time. He brought out appetizers while we waited in the lobby. He brought out champagne for all of us. When we were finally seated he had the table filled with appetizers and kept the champagne coming all night for our large party. We had an amazing time thank you for taking such good care of us
Have been going to this restaurant for over 12 years. Was not too happy with the hostess staff who refused to accommodate a booth request at the time I arrived when there were 9 booth’s available. Without looking at the seating chart they replied “all the booths are taken by people who already had booth request with their reservations”. I found this to be untrue and unlikely so I’ve decided not to return.
The restaurant was nice, the service was ok. We were there for a special occasion with a large group and several members of our party had to wait for their meal after others had been served. The meals were brought out together, however, it went unnoticed that 2 people were left without a meal and side orders were missed. It was about 10-15 minutes before everyone had their complete meal.
It was our anniversary and they made us feel loved. Although we didn't drink it, they offered us a complementary champagne, then a card signed by the staff, a little appetizer made by the chef and this overall feeling of being special. The food and service were great! Definitely one of our favorite restaurants! Oh, and they even take our photo and print it before leaving, nice touch!
