Seasons 52 - Tysons Corner Ratings and Reviews
Saturday night was my first time dining at Seasons 52, but it will surely not be my last. Nothing to complain about and many things to praise. The service was perfect. The cocktails were outstanding and moderately priced as far as restaurants around here go. The flatbread appetizer was good, but nothing special.
The main courses, however, were outstanding. I had the grilled scallops with risotto and broccolini and my daughter had the filet mignon with red wine sauce, mashed potatoes, and broccolini. My (plentiful) scallops were among the best I have ever eaten. Fresh and cooked absolutely perfectly. The risotto was creamy and divine. I sampled some of my daughter's steak, and it was tender, cooked to the requested level of doneness, and delicious with this terrific smoky flavor almost like barbecued steak. The red wine sauce was also wonderful, and the potatoes and broccolini were cooked perfectly and seasoned nicely.
Desserts are small portions served in shooter glasses, so after a nice meal you are more likely to feel comfortable ordering and indulging. There are several options, so we each ordered a different one and enjoyed them without waste or being stuffed. Nice.
Bottom line: a very enjoyable dining experience and I expect to go back again soon.
Went for Valentine's and the food was tasty: we had a flat bread, the New York strip and the lamb. All delicious. There were 2 servers who alternated taking care of us. Our main server was extremely uninterested in helping us, was mostly evasive and MIA. The other one was extremely nice and improved our overall experience. The hosts at the front were very accommodating on a pretty busy days. Overall good experience. Thank you for making our romantic date special.
While the food was good and the waiter was good; there were a couple of issues that needed to be addressed!
First; my wife and I dined there for Valentine's Day. We arrived early and said we take advantage of Happy Hour while we waited for our table. NOTE: My wife called just prior to our leaving our home and was given the HH hours with NO mention of HH being suspended for Valentine's Day!
Upon arrival; the hostess said she was sorry that there would be NO HH today! When told about my wife's call; her response "Oh I'm sorry"! Sorry?? She then stated that her manager just decided to suspend HH for the day!
No offer for a manager however; (there was a young fellow in suit within listening distance who never stepped forward to help)!)
Second issue was the wrong cocktail brought to the table. However this was exchanged with an apology.
This was our second visit to the Tyson's location. Our previous was under the direction of a friend who was the GM/Managing partner ( now at another Seasons-52 location out of state)!
Absolutely no issues on that visit!
My husband and I enjoyed a lovely Valentine’s Day lunch. Our server was delightful — well informed about the ingredients and she provided excellent recommendations. Our meal was delicious and surprise champagne cocktails and chocolatey desserts were very nice touches!
Had a wonderful experience for our group of 10. Some had brunch, others lunch and appetizers. All the drinks were good too. Service was attentive and relaxed. Never felt rushed, nor ignored.
I have been there several times for dates or a quick bite and have always been impressed with food and service!
Seasons 52 has become a very bad chain restaurant. Our Sunday morning waiter was clearly very hungover, struggled to remember simple things - like that we ordered drinks already. And then when we sweetly said, yes, we would like coffee, he was cranky about it "I KNOW, I KNOW! You said coffee". He definitely had no training to wait tables at any restaurant. We were literally the only customers in the place and he ghosted us for most of the time. Food was rubbish and, as our waiter pointed out, is all pre -made and just heated up. Really bad experience, won't be back.
Had dinner during a stay-cation for our 30th Wedding Anniversary. Welcome special from the restaurant and very friendly congratulations from our waiter, who's name I have sadly forgotten.
Excellent food well prepared in line with the seasonal fare they are known for. Truly an excellent way to enjoy an evening with your closest friend and greatest partner.
I dine at Season’s 52 often so I was surprised with the level of service we received. Our waiter kept disappearing, I ordered tea and asked for sugar by time he returned with the sugar the tea was cold. We waited probably 15 minutes for him to return and get our food orders. Once we completed our meals the plates sat there until I grabbed the attention of a waitress and she kindly removed the dishes. I was disappointed on his service but the food was good.
For several years this has been our restaurant of choice for both special family occasions and get together with friends. Several times we have run into one issue or another which the management and staff always corrected - this time was a disaster. The host staff was overwhelmed, unhelpful and unfriendly. When finally announcing reservations (30 minutes late) they just stood at the host stand and quietly said the name - a woman near us had her table given away once and it almost happened a second time. When finally seated it took 10 minutes for a waiter to come by. After explaining that it was busy he left without even asking if we wanted drinks - 10 minutes later when he came back I asked for water and that took 5 more minutes. Empty tables were left uncleaned, for 15 - 20 minutes at at time. I asked the waiter to apply a gift card (which we had received for a problem on a previous visit) from the whole check before dividing the remainder evenly with the other couple we were dining with. The waiter said he couldn't do it with an annoyed tone. Worst of all there was no sign of management anywhere in the restaurant from the time we arrived until we left.
Extremely disappointing and embarrassed that we recommended this restaurant to our friends. Since it was very busy and there was a large crowd waiting for tables my sense is that restaurant management doesn't care.
The service was terrible. We barely saw our waiter. For example, we didn’t receive one of the beverages we ordered (a soda) until our our meal arrived. We didn’t see our waiter again until until we more than ready to leave. Our waters were never refilled either. It took the waiter 15 mins to bring our check back so we could leave. I complained about the service and all we got was “oh that’s too bad. We’re sorry.”
I have eaten at Seasons 52 4-6 times in the past 2-3 years. I would give Seasons 52 a B- at best.
The baseline comparison is the Great American Restaurants which gets an A+ (Jacksons, Sweetwaters, Ozzies, etc.). Seasons 52 service should use the team effort employed by the Great American Restaurants. The food is above average but not great, and the prices are too high for the quality of the food and service.
In the future, I will opt for one of the Great American Restaurants instead.
