We enjoyed our dinner very much. I had the baby back ribs app, falling off the bone in a delicious bbq mustard sauce; the scallops in an almost too rich cream sauce with pureed celery root on the side which nicely offset the richness of the scallops; and the choc molten cake, pretty much just as it should be with raspberry sorbet on the side, a nice touch. Wife had the octopus app which had so-so flavor and unusually tough(and we eat a lot of octopus in restaurants including Panico, La Fontana and Kosta's Grill) as well as make it ourselves so we have a very good basis for comparison); the scallops; and the banana spring rolls (basically fried lightly battered banana) with a perfect creme anglaise and honey vanilla sorbet on the side which was very good. A few minor issues: this was our third time there and they alway make you wait even though there were plenty of available tables for two; they don't offer freshly ground pepper unless you ask, and then it takes them a while to locate a pepper mill; we would have preferred a choice of the two sorbets with the two desserts, as I would have preferred the vanilla with the choc cake and wife would have preferred the raspberry with the banana (we swapped). One larger issue: the pre-published menu for this prix fixe dinner included blackened cobia, a delicious and unusual fish in this region, with applewood smoked bacon and creamy corn, which was unavailable at 7 pm on Saturday night, which was a big attraction, and they substituted cod, a meh fish, instead of local flounder or sea or striped bass (I had local terrific black sea bass which I had made at home earlier in the week) which would have been comparable and acceptable, so that was very disappointing.

Nice place it's smart casual dress we ordered a few martinis and i had the grilled octopus, the stewed char . Octopus was chewy and not very seasoned pass on that next time . Everything else was excellent. My fish was great my wife's meal was very good she had the shallops and beat salad. Nice place over all

So yummy!!! Loved the ambiance inside and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. The jersey corn and crab soup was to die for. Will be coming back for sure!!

Had a nice breakfast out on the veranda. My husband had the Belgian waffle which was served as 4 thick triangles topped with an apple slaw. He had to ask for the syrup as they didn't bring it out with his waffle. I had the baked eggs with spinach and goat cheese. It was served in a small cast iron frying pan and included 2 fried eggs topped with spinach and a few small dollops of creamy goat cheese, along with 6 halves of rye toast. It included a small side of home fries. The eggs were a bit overcooked but tasty nevertheless. The coffee was weak but I prefer espresso myself. Also the "fresh squeezed" oj is just from a carton oj...don't expect a juicer version of fresh squeezed. The atmosphere was pleasant especially on a beautiful sunny day like we had. It wasn't the best breakfast I ever tasted but it was okay.

It may have been because it was end of season but I really found nothing special about this restaurant. The food was okay and the seafood was fresh but the meals were uninspired. We loved our waitress who was personable and enjoyable. If you are going to compete in a food town like Cape May, you need to bring your A game.

We were celebrating my girlfriend’s birthday traveling from Alexandria, VA. Three of us shared the fried calamari appetizer. The scallops were fresh and cooked properly. One guest ordered the ribs which he said were too sweet and too salty so because of that I am rating the food four stars. We had their pineapple drink with cruzan rum which was excellent, not too sweet. It was a warm lovely evening so we ate on the patio. It was very nice. Reasonable prices. Very good service.

Sat us past our reservation time. Waited 1.5 hours for our food, after they told us they were out of multiple items. Calimari was rubber, cobia was bland as can be. They must have mistaken blackened to mean slightly over cooked/burned as opposed to the variety of spices. Corn puree was lacking in flavor besides being sweet. Ice cream at the end was freezer burnt, was half crystalized and broke after sitting for a minute.
