Very nice location, good food, and attentive service (Socrates was our server). More specifically, we enjoyed dining on the heated patio with views of nature, water, birds, jumping fish and all kinds of military helicopters flying in the sky (occasionally a train would pass) - all made our dinner entertaining and interesting. We wish they offered a bigger selection of wine such as to include more popular Italian wines and perhaps added more decorations (flowers or fireplace-like ambiance). Overall it was great and will be back regardless:)
Great place, great food, great view, not that expensive
Best food of our trip. We had the halibut and the salmon which were excellent and good size portions. We'll be back.
What a wonderful review. Thank you so much. We hope to see you again soon.
Great food, service and view!
Salad was delicious as well as the salmon entree but the sandwich my friend ordered had way too much mayo. She couldn’t eat it.
We enjoyed our dinner very much. The staff was careful about physical distancing. We asked for a table on the patio with a view when making our reservation. They were happy to oblige.
Dinner was delicious, everyone in our party enjoyed their meal.
Thank you so much Julie! We hope to see you again soon.
Really wanted to support this local restaurant but the service , though pleasant , was a bit slow on the uptake , it was to be 30% sushi discount Wednesday’s... but my gosh it was expensive !
The wine was fair priced , my husband asked for another glass of the same he brought 2 and immediately poured one into my glass - I did not ask for one .
We were charged for said glass after I said NO THANK YOU, he then charged us for the 2 glasses and delivered a “ free” dessert - we never order dessert .
That being said , don’t think we will be heading to Sea Salt again, good luck .
We had the BEST dinner - everything we had from drinks to apps to dinner was delicious!! Can't wait to go back, was our first time and won't be our last! Karen was our server and she was AMAZING!! Cheers!
Thank you Kelle. We have passed your comments on to Karen. Thank you for showing your appreciation, we will see you soon.
Great waiter! He was very nice, new waiter who just moved from Florida.
We loved the delicious cocktails
& salmon tacos!
As always, food and service were impeccable. Thanks to the chef and Enrique, we will be back very soon. Thanks and ever thanks, Marie
Thank you Marie, we have passed on your review to our Chef & Enrique!
Request a table by the window and you will enjoy a panoramic view of the Torrey Pines Park, an occasional train in the distance, the lagoon and the migratory birds.
Sal’s Seasalt restaurant is always an enjoyable experience: Food, service and wine selection.
Sat in the patio with a beautiful view. Friendly service, great food and drink. Waiter was helpful with recommendations.
Great to be back! Thanks! Love your menu and staff, location too!
Overall good experience but staff could have been more diligent about their covid safety precautions like wearing their masks properly
We decided to book a table on the patio for Fathers Day and we were very pleased to see everyone following the rules during this COVID-19 pandemic. The food was excellent and so was the service.
Perfect “off the beaten path” quiet restaurant along the old Carmel Valley strip. Service was excellent. And good ample parking in the back.
Went for brunch the staff does not know the menu ordered the sunrise Benedict and got the regular Benedict 3 times finally said I wasn’t hungry. No manager ever came over they felt very graceful for not charging me for getting my meal wrong 3 times
Seasalt has a nice location in Del Mar. The food was delicious and the view spectacular. I would definitely go here again.
First time out since February. Great evening. Thank you.
we sat on the patio and enjoyed the view with the tables evenly spaced out. Food was very good overall, a few minor misses. It did take a long time to order and get the food but that seems to be the norm now at a few places I've gone with the restrictions in place. Hopefully things improve a bit as time goes on. Was a nice time though and we all enjoyed it!
If you’re looking for a nice spot to get away from it all and enjoy a nice lunch dinner this is the place to go and check out I went there for the first time yesterday and it was amazing our waitresses name was Jen and she did such an amazing job so did everybody else in the staff they were welcoming and friendly even though we arrived 10 minutes before closing they treated us with so much respect and courtesy that I was compelled to tip $100 On our bill for $127. I am from Los Angeles and will always come visit this place when I am in San Diego you just gained a loyal customer thank you For your service
Great experience, very good food, and excellent service!
It was a beautiful place with great food!
Loved the re-opening music and the food my wife and I had was great as always!
Good experience the waiter was nice, the food was good
We would recommend Seasalt! Nice views. Spacing for Covid19 works.
Very nice cautious covid 19 opening. The view is lovely! I had salmon he had filet mignon both fabulous but I must complement the wedge salad as the beast wedge salad ever!! Not what you would expect. Must try!!!!
Great food, location, staff, service. All wonderful!
Uber clean, friendly, accommodating, and attentive service. Food was excellent!
We love this place. Especially the artichoke appetizer!
2nd review of this restaurant even though this is my 3rd visit. Fantastic service, phenomenal food. Enrique was our waiter and he went above & beyond to make our dining experience exceptional. He even sang Happy Birthday (Solo!) to our son and brought him a luscious choc mousse. Many thanks for making our son's birthday an extra special one, Enrique!!
There were six in our party and everyone had a great meal. Service was very good; on top of things but not intrusive. Will definitely go back.
Delightful food and awesome service. A little pricey, but we'd go back in a minute.
Great Date night . Service and food were great!
I love the location of Seasalt, it has a beach vibe without the crowds. The food is delicious. The artichoke appetizer is unique and tasty. The entrees have nice size portions and are well prepared. It can get a bit noisy. The Monday night we were there I though the servers were stretched a bit thin. We were well taken care of but it looked like the server was struggling to keep up.
Don;t expect great food. But for a local quick outing for overpriced fish its ok
My wife and a friend dined here on a Tuesday night and really enjoyed the experience. The restaurant was decently crowded and had a nice neighborhood feel. Our waiter was friendly and professional. Cocktails were great. We had two fish specials and a scallop dish and everyone thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Quality of the food was excellent and pricing was slightly below other comparable restaurants. We will return soon.
Way above average view, but average food and service. Location is very nice on the lagoon and overlooking Torrey Pines State Beach. This has the potential to be a really nice spot but the chef needs to kick it up a few notches. French onion soup was a sorry example of the craft and the kitchen must have been almost out of Gruyere cheese, as all there was was a sprinkle on a crustini.
I’m always a fan of dinner specials, and the osso bucco was melt in your mouth delicious! The chipotle fettuccine with shrimp did not disappoint and was cooked perfectly with all of its savory ingredients.
Our waiter was at the ready, but never overbearing, and the outdoor seating very comfortable on a cold night.
We ended up staying till the restaurant closed without even knowing it! We will definitely be back…
The food was fantastic and the service was excellent. We never had an empty glass, but the wait staff was unobtrusive. It was an excellent dinner, the chowder was the best I've had in a long time. we sat outside and it was a bit loud, my husband and I had a hard time hearing each other. Because it was dark, we couldn't really see the view, I would probably opt to eat inside in the evening. We will absolutely return!
