Met a friend for lunch. Beautiful restaurant where you get a nice view of Torrey Pines and the ocean from just about any seat. Nice decor that doesn’t take away from a gorgeous view.

We had the fish tacos and salmon burger. Delicious. The coconut shrimp was yummy, too. The fish tacos could have used a second tortilla...one tortilla breaks from the sauce and can’t be eaten the usual way. But other than that the tacos were tasty and perfectly prepared.

Beautiful atmosphere. Excellent service. Good food. Great spot for lunch, dinner or happy hour.

Greg, the lovely bartender was very helpful and fun. Food was beautifully prepared and planted. Very balanced flavors. I am on a diet, and I was VERY grateful that they were able to modify the seared scallops for me. (Believe me, I would love nothing more than to scarf some saffron risotto...... but my weight watchers points don't allow). Great place. I will be back when I return to Del Mar for business.

Very much enjoy the food and atmosphere here. Fantastic view during the day of the wetlands near the ocean in Torrey Pines. Food is reasonably priced and all of the seafood is excellent, especially the fish.

I can say the only slight disappointment I've had here is a little less shrimp or scallops in an entree than I am used to. However, this small flaw on only one occasion was overshadowed by exceptional taste, thoughtful service, and an ideal location.

Food was good; fresh; but not special given the cost. One person said couldn’t find anything on menu so just had vegetarian. Outdoor dining area was hot; no breeze despite the fans. Sun was strong and guests were wilting in the sun. Price for lunch menu too high.

Scallops were excellent. I had to get attention of waiter to slow down & attend to us. I'm surprised you did not have a local, fresh fish...
$15 corkage fee for Each bottle is overpriced. i will not recommend.

Sea salt did not dissapoint! We had 6pm reservations, arrived a bit early and was seated immediately in a window seat. The waiter was so professional and wonderful. The supporting wait staff was also lovely and attentive.
The food while not cheap ($25-35 dinner) was very nice. We both had seafood. Our meals were perfection.
Will 100% return.

Besides the lovely view, it is just a comfortable atmosphere. Our server was warm and friendly as well as attentive and knowledgeable. As always, our meals were all superb. The Heirloom Burrata was outstanding as was the Roman Style Artichoke which you will keep going back for over and over again. All of the fish dishes were cooked to perfection as usual.

First time for dinner here. Service was mediocre - took a long time to get a drink order; asked for lemon which never came and waiter did not check on us regularly. Started with crabcakes which were mealy and ok at best. Salmon was overcooked and bland. The special was macadamia crusted Alaskan halibut which was excellent. When making reservation, it was noted that this was our anniversary. This was not recognized by any restaurant staff. Most likely will not come back

This was our 4th trip to Sea Salt and we have yet to be disappointed. Their fresh fish is outstanding and the clams casino is also excellent. We love sitting on their patio and enjoying the view of the tidal basin and the coaster going by.

Crab cake and artichoke appetizers were tasty. The restaurant really lost its appeal when the entrees came out. Honey roasted salmon was bland, shrimp fra Diablo was unmemorable. The lobster special was an entire Maine lobster served over fettuccine. The lobster was covered in a spicy tomato sauce, making it almost impossible to open it with nutcrackers without getting your hands immersed in the sauce. it should have been taken out of the shell or at the very least, cut into pieces and split open so you could take the meat out with a fork. Eating it was a disaster! Overall, a disappointing meal.

Been coming to SeaSalt for a couple of years. Our favorite is to go for a beach walk at Torrey Pines and adjourn to the outdoor patio for dinner. Being vegetarian, there are some options that work well, and the chef is happy to modify to make dishes vegetarian.
Don't miss the artichoke starter, it is divine. This meal we had that, the veggie egg roll, vegetarian ravioli, and a salad, that I had potatoes / avocado added instead of tuna. Delish!

Please ignore the ratings but I wasn't allowed to submit comments without putting something in the ratings.

We were never seated.

They had a big party and we kept being told "we will be with you in a few minutes."

We left the restaurant after 15 minutes.

We felt ignored.

We had an 8pm reservation... didn’t get seated for 25 minutes...once we were seated nobody spoke to us for 30 minutes... another 15 minutes went by before we got bread and/or offered an opportunity to order drinks.... fortunately we got free appetizers when we asked to speak to the manager... but still had to go to the bar to order all of our drinks....

The restaurant location is lovely and service was vey attentive, but food was not good. My shrimp poblano omelette had almost no flavor. My daughter had the Spanish croissant, but the chorizo had a very odd, gamey taste and the sandwich was soggy. She couldn't eat it. The bottomless mimosas were reasonably priced and server kept our glasses full.

The brunch menu was promising, but the reality was truly awful. Eggs benedict were served on untoasted English muffins with a thin slice of a very salty and not un-bologna tasting piece of meat. The poached eggs were unremarkable, and the hollandaise was watery. A shrimp jalapeno omelet was bland and unappealing, accompanied by slices of toast that came out a commercially packaged loaf. Blueberry pancakes were a bit on the tough side. Service was almost non-existent. Overall, pass on this one, folks.

Not impressed with the service -- slow, sloppy and lazy best describes our server and the bus person. They all but disappeared and we had to hunt them down twice - once for silverware and a second time for the check. Food was uninspired and lacking flavor. Over all a mediocre lunch that was overpriced
