Loved view. Service was great
Great service and excellent food. thanks!
The artichokes were excellent as were the oyster Rockerfeller and the sushi roll. My wife and I had the special fishes of the day. Wonderful meal. Great views.
Great dinner and service ! Scallops terrific ....
Todd is an awesome server - very lovely ambiance !
They accommodated our large group of 8 easily. Service and food were great. We’ll be back.
Awesome place for any occasion. Sea salt will never disappoint !
I always enjoy eating at Seasalt. The fish is fresh and delicious. The service is excellent.
I dine here almost weekly and it has great food. The salmon entree at dinner was exceptionally good.
In my opinion, this is the best authentic Italian seafood restaurant in San Diego. This is the only restaurant I know that serves authentic squid ink pasta in San Diego.
We loved our time at Seasalt. Friendly owner & staff make it a pleasant evening. I had delicious halibut & my husband had swordfish- both terrific. Other times we've had the pastas which are equally good.
The staff was so friendly and attentive!!! Food was prepared quick. Crab cakes and vodka salmon penne pasta were excellent. Found a new place to grab a quiet meal with a view of the ocean. My husband I look forward to coming back.
Great location but the whole experience was not as good as we expected it to be. The menu was limited. The California roll wasn’t fresh, entrees were fair.
Get-together with colleagues, a party of 10.
Good was / looked good all around, service was attentive.
We will come back.
I always enjoy the food and the service at sea salt - which I find consistently excellent in my Opinion
I’ll enjoy coming here on a regular basis and love the menu ..and the view
Parking is always a breeze and great location to take in a beach walk before or after dinner
I like that they started offering special deals on sushi on Sunday
I also like their wine selection
It’s my favorite neighborhood restaurant!
Everything was very nice! The location is wonderful - we live in San Diego and we met friends there who live in Carlsbad so a great half-way meeting point. Plus during the day the view is really nice. The food was delicious with some great healthy options. The service was very good too. And to top it off there is a parking lot in the back. We will definitely return.
Food was good. We were disappointed when we ordered a so called "cocktail" and was informed that they only serve beer and wine type cocktails. Our quests requested a place so they could get a martini. On their website it said cocktails. I guess in the future, it is necessary to call and ask what type of cocktails are served. A bit misleading, none the less.
We went here last minute for Valentine’s Day diner and it was perfect. The atmosphere was quiet and the food was amazing. I will definitely be coming back to this place again.
A great mid point to meet. Our friend lives downtown and we live in Carlsbad. We ate, chatted and stayed for 2 hours and it was not a problem. Service is attentive and swordfish is delicious.
Swordfish sandwich was moist and delicious, great salad, too. Service was very attentive. Parking can be difficult. Sorry to hear that there are changes to the Passport Card and they will no longer be taking it in May.
We had walked past this restaurant one Sunday and decided to give it a try. We booked last minute for a Saturday evening at 7 pm. The parking in the rear is so convenient and the pathway into the restaurant is so cute with it's sparkly lights and beautiful garden. The inside did not disappoint. We arrived early, so we had a seat a the bar and had an excellent glass of wine. We were then seated at our table shortly thereafter and were met with a very friendly waiter, don't remember his name. The food was excellent, as was the ambiance............didn't see much of the view as it was dark, but I definitely will return to catch a sunset. Great place for a romantic dinner!
Consistently delicious dining experience.
Menu choices are vast and healthy options.
Wonderful service with a special touch by our waiter. Mostly seafood and all 5 of us were pleased with our selections, even the one friend who ordered beef. Restaurant looks out of the lagoon at Del Mar and even in the dark patrons can see the lights of the trains, but not the noise as the trains pass by. Special outdoor environment.
I was disappointed with my experience at Seasalt Del Mar. I had a reservation for 4 people at 6:30. I got there at 6:20 and waited a long time at the Hostess Table for any service. When a server came over, he first helped someone else who came in after me and had a reservation at 7:00 with no one else in the party there yet. About 5 minutes later someone came again and then helped two couples in front of me, one of whom did not have a reservation. And they both told the server that I was in front of them. Five more minutes later, the server came back and told me that the patio seating was full. There was literally only one table left available in the restaurant. It was inside and had seating for 4 so I asked if we could sit there and didn't really get an answer. So I sat down and told my friends to come over from the bar area so we wouldn't lose the last table in the restaurant. About another 5 minutes later, a waitress came over and asked if we had been helped. I asked her to please make sure that my OpenTable reservation was honored since no one else had barely even acknowledged me and I wanted to make sure I wasn't recorded as a no-show. My friends who ordered the salmon said it was really good. I had spaghetti with clams and it was not the best. I will not be going back.
Great location, attractive decor. A bit noisy for a business dinner but probably great energy for a casual get together. It was a Monday so not too busy but still felt slightly understaffed. The sea bass and mahi mahi entrees were delicious and well presented. I worry a bit about the longevity of the restaurant because there was nothing really memorable and I don’t feel compelled to go back.
My son picked Sea Salt for his 12th birthday. We had a party of 9. The restaurant was very nice. Location was perfect. Food and service were great. Prices very reasonable. We will definitely return.
The food is always delicious. Service is excellent. The porch is a little noisy, but it’s still possible to carry on a conversation without feeling a need to raise one’s voice.
I ordered the Salmon which was supposed to be wild caught pacific. It may or may not have been, but it tasted bland.
Always enjoy our meal at Sea Salt. Love the Vodka Salmon !
We had an amazing meal with a wonderful waiter. The space was lovely and so was the ambience. I would highly recommend Seasalt for special dining experiences.
very limited parking and the noise level outside on the enclosed terrace is awful
My first experience at Seasalt was delightful. The lunch menu was good, the salmon plate was delicious, and the service from Jeff was outstanding. We'll be back!
This restaurant is such a gem in the vicinity of scenic Torrey Pines State Reserves. The view is so splendid, the food is delicious and the service is excellent. I love the fact that there are ample parking spaces every time I went there. Can't wait to go back to it.
Great local place for excellent food. Every item was top notch.
Excellent food in a unique location. Will be back for sure.
Exquisite food, perfect place to celebrate my husbands birthday and bring in the New Year!!!
Excellent patio dining and friendly staff. Salads are large and delicious. The menu is a combination of traditional fish house and imaginative fusion options.
Excellent dinner on New Year's Eve...everyone loved the swordfish!
We made a last-minute decision to go out on a Friday night and found Sea Salt had open reservation times. We had a great meal (and a better behaved child than our last visit, hurray!). We started with the calamari which was very nicely prepared - cooked just right and the batter wasn't overwhelming. It was a little greasy, but most fried things are. The sauces were tasty, as well - the 4YO didn't try the spicier one, but we were surprised that she loved the other as it tasted like it had some horseradish in it. We also shared a bowl of the New England clam chowder - it needed a little salt, but after that addition was fine, though nothing extra special. For entrees, we had the scallops (a personal favorite) and a sea bass special. Both had generous serving sizes, were prepared perfectly and the accompanying items worked well with the dishes. The 4YO didn't care for the scallops (more for me!), but loved the saffron risotto and was happy with the sea bass entree, even eating some of the green beans which she normally doesn't care for, so we were pleasantly surprised. They do have a limited children's menu, which we didn't bother with knowing that our child happens to love calamari and most types of fish.
Always consistent, good waiter who aimed to please.
