Came here with my husband and his extended family for father’s day! View of Torrey Pines around sunset was gorgeous! Saw jumping fish and cranes in the lagoon! The service was fabulous here and delicious food. We were a big group with 4 kids and we had our own area so we didn’t bother other guests eating there. Highly recommend this place! Loved the halibut! Good beer and wine selection.
We reviewed the menu online to make sure there was something for everyone to eat, when we got there, they had a menu with very limited items, I would say 1/3 of the items. And of course none of the items we were looking forward to try, one of those items was sushi.
We requested a fillet mignon without the sauce, but was served WITH the sauce drenched over, if a guest is paying close to $40 for a fillet, you’d expect it to be served as requested.
Loved this place. Second time for lunch. Can't wait to come back for dinner at the bar. Friendly staff, although service was a bit slow and spotty (it was Father Day) . Great seafood items and many other tasty choices. Definitely will be back and recommend to my friends and business associates.
Excellent as usual, the staff especially Jeff, Anthony and Denise aim to serve and please!
Good meal and service, but was surprised Passport cards are no longer accepted. Apparently, the change happened 2 weeks ago. We won't be going back unless Dining Passport benefits come back. We used to go weekly because of it.
Food was decent but nothing special. For out of town guests, this may be a nice place to take them if they've been to other places by the ocean. Waitstaff was friendly, so I would return for casual dining, but I would not recommend the place for friends who have more discriminating palate.
Service was above normal - attentive & thorough. Food was delicious, well portioned, and creative.
A bit noisy.
Superb Food - oysters, fish, steak
Very Poor Drink - watered down martini
I very much enjoy dining at Sea Salt for Brunch, Lunch or Dinner. Great food, service and a very pleasant atmosphere.
Excellent wines by the glass
Food was good but it took forever. Waiter was super attentive at first and then disappeared. Will go back but not when I’m starving.
This place has a great view and their own parking. Although it took awhile for the waiter to take our food orders, the food came out quickly after. Food has been decent every visit. Local beers are overpriced. Still, I'll be back. Nice atmosphere not too far from home.
Absolutely lovely. Waiter was amazing. Food was fantastic.
Great option in the area
Good consistent food
What a wonderful dinner we had. But it was a limitless noisy!
This week we decided to take an out-of-town visitor to Seasalt, largely because the view of the lagoon is so good. We were so happy with the food and service that we will make it a point to go back regularly. It really is a neighborhood gem.
This was our first visit. Fresh, great tasting food with a nicely diverse menu! Highly recommend!
Good food and atmosphere. Service was very good. Waiter was pleasant and friendly.
Love the ambiance and gorgeous lagoon views. The food was amazing, and the staff was right on it! Perfect way to spend a lovely Mother's Day meal. We caught the sunset, and all was great!
We've made Mother's Day brunch at Sea Salt a tradition over the past several years, and plan on continuing the tradition for many more. Service is always friendly and attentive, and the menu selection is just right. Everything is always delicious, from appetizers to main courses and to desserts. Everyone in my family loves this place, especially my wife, and that's why we dine here on Mother's Day!
Mother's Day Brunch was wonderful. The shrimp poblano omelette was delicious and had plenty of (jumbo) shrimp. We enjoyed the classic benedict too. The service was excellent. The food and the view of the lagoon & Torrey pines was beautiful. We can't wait to come back and bring our friends.
Unfortunately our experience was not worth its salt. The positives: my ten-year old daughter enjoyed her Penne and Alfredo, and a bowl of clam chowder. I tried them both. The chowder wa a bit thin but had good flavor, the Penne was good. On the other hand, my wife and I had the Sea Salt salad, crab cakes and glazed salmon. The salad was pedestrian. The crab cakes were not to our liking, as they had no chunks of crab, only a mashed-up mix of whatever that looked like oatmeal, with consistency to match. The salmon came to the table almost raw. We returned and asked for it to be cooked medium temperature. After torturing the piece of fish to the point of self-immolation it was brought back to us. Dry, no discernible glaze of any kind and accompanied by unseasoned potatoes and spinach. The spinach was done properly. We won't be back.
Jeff was extremely helpful
And delicious food. Healthy!
Exceptional meal and ambience. Million dollar view. No-stress place and always a great meal.
Excellent pastas always perfectly cooked, huge salads, fresh seafood, friendly and attentive waters, scenic setting. We love this place for a casual weekend dinner.
It was a beautiful gathering please post hike for breakfast or lunch. My omelette was a little overdone. Our server was not unfriendly but... Perhaps a little rushed. I would return but with the expectation that if I wanted the most delicious breakfast in the world this is not where I would go. The view makes up for everything.
The noise level was close to unbearable.
Wanted to order 1 fish taco and 1 carnitas taco. Would have paid the higher price, but not possible.
First of all when we arrived the front door was locked so we had to walk around the back to enter. There were only a couple of tables seated when we arrived but it still took some time before we were greeted. We ordered apps and cocktails which came quickly. After we ordered a second cocktail, we were never asked again if we wanted to order a main course. Our server disappeared.
We have been here several times for the view. The food is OK and the service is always questionable. This could be a really great place is they stuck to seafood and offered more items like oysters and chilled seafoods. We can get tacos anywhere.
She did immediately upon entering however no waiter or waitress came to our table until we ask for someone. When they finally showed up they asked us if we are ready to order no apologies. Mia was over didn't ask us if we wanted desert just sent us the check. Food was good but it was not a warm place.
Beautiful view of the lagoon. Great outdoor seating. Little outdated indoors. Very loud at lunch in the patio. Not good for business meeting.
The food was excellent and the wait staff very attentive. A calm surrounding and beautiful view helped finish the meal. We will go back to Seasalt.
A local gen. Excellent food in a lovely setting. Outside dining has a view of Torrey Pines State Reserve. Wait staff is always very attentive and helpful. Great spot for Sunday brunch/lunch.
We ordered the Roman artichokes as an appetizer and they were absolutely delicious. My mom and I ordered crab ravioli with lobster sauce. They were home made and very tasty. The sauce was definitely the real deal, with a rich lobster taste. My brother ordered steak with Gorgonzola, and my sister-in-law ordered scallops with risotto. The scallops were huge and perfectly cooked. My sister-in-law is a sommelier, and she commented that she was impressed with the wine list and the prices were very reasonable. This is a super value. We would have paid at least $50 or more at other restaurants in the area. The waiter was extremely nice. All in all, all four of us really enjoyed our food and the evening together.
We were really happy with quality of the food.
Our waiter did an excellent job of recommending items when we asked him for suggestions. The blackened scallops were some of the best I have ever had.
Overall it was a lovely evening, the food was delicious, our waiter was attentive, however, the downside was the fact that I had let them know this was a birthday celebration and there was no recognition of that fact. I kept waiting for a piece of cake, or some sort of dessert to be brought out, to no avail. After dinner we moved to the bar for a night cap and the customer service of the barman was non existent.....not what we expected after having such good service in the restaurant. Ah well, it won't put me off going back, I'll just put it down to he must have been feeling poorly! Great location with parking in the rear!
This is one of my favorite restaurants because of the efficiency of the staff, the view and the fabulous food. This was my fifth time to enjoy this bistro and the consistency of hospitality and food is amazing.
Wife & I went on Easter for Brunch/lunch. We had driven past for some time but never stopped. Busy, but service was excellent and friendly. No sense of rush - well staffed, well managed but still casual.
Seated at open front area with view of tidal area and ocean. Fresh air and nice warming sun.
Food was well prepared, very flavorful and hot. Crab Cakes, Seafood Benedict and Spaghetti with Clams were top notch with a fine place setting. ....and one of the best Bloody Mary's ...ever.
Always the best service, food, atmosphere! Thank you!
