We enjoyed breakfast on Mothers Day. Our reservations were for 11:30. We were not aware that they stop serving breakfast at 11 and they gave us a price fix menu for Mothers Day that reflected options more appropriate for dinner. We told the server we were disappointed and he checked and and they were kind enough to accommodate our breakfast request. The food was delicious and we appreciated their flexibility. Live music was good but too loud. A little softer would make it more enjoyable.
Nice place and good food. However, our server seemed like she didn’t care to be there and food was very overpriced for what we got.
we went for restaurant week menu. everyone was totally satisfied. The portions initially looked small ;but wow; we walked out full. The pork was cooked perfectly; the corn soup was out of this world; the shrimp appetizer was very tasty as was the beet salad. desert was terrific; both the lava cake and the banana spring rolls. Ooh. i forgot to mention the Cobi fish entree. fantastic to say the least. Our servers were attentive, we never waited for anything, and i believe they were short staffed too. Kudo's to Sea Salt for making our night Grande.
Lovely outdoor venue for Sunday brunch. Nice cocktails that go beyond brunch mimosas. Nicely prepared egg dishes. French press Lacas coffee didn't hit the mark.
Tried for a sophisticated menu which was interesting, but not to my taste. Very few choices other than fish or seafood. Dishes as described sounded too spicy for me.
Home made sorbet was excellent, but the chocolate cake portion was exceedingly small.
Everything was wonderful, staff professional, food Awesome!!
Great meal Great view made our night very enjoyable
Wonderful experience. Limited menu but fantastic choices. Every member of the staff was friendly and attentive.
Incredible service during our tasting menu. The food was amazing for all 5 courses and will be back next year!
I was tickled from the moment I walked in. A charming young man offered me a seat at the bar and a drink while I perused the menu waiting for my table. Moments later I was escorted to an ocean view seat. Started my meal with a pineapple mojoito and nibbled on warm bread. My appetizer of roasted beets and whipped goat cheese opened my appetite as I dipped and waited for my grilled sirloin. I subtle young women whisked away any finished plates and tidied the table without a word but with a gentle smile.
Finished with the warm lava cake plated with a chili laced raspberry sorbet. Not sure about the sorbet but a fun deviation.
Each item was artfully plated and carefully served.
What a treat!!! I’ll recommend and be back.
The menu is varied and amazing - it was so hard to choose! Everything we ate was delicious. Ribs appetizer, grapefruit seviche...and the crab corn chowder is out of this world! Servers were attentive but not overbearing and let us take our time. Highly recommend!
Wonderful dinner. Excellent food and atmosphere .
Great but very pricey due to everything being ala carte.
Wife and I travel to Cape May 1-3 times per summer for past nine years and have just tried this place. Very pleasantly surprised. It provides upscale yet approachable vibe and ambiance different from the other great CM restaurants. Indoor seating is upscale but not stuffy. Outdoor seating is very casual with a great seafront view. This place is suitable for a date or other special event or just for the family (since it's attached to a hotel, expect to see even young kids). Food was outstanding and service was impeccable, starting with a drink at the bar. At our table, a very knowledgeable woman (head waiter maybe) explained the menu and took our orders for apps and main course. These along with drink refills, dessert and coffee were all delivered at the right pace. No excessive wait times but no sense of being rushed either...exactly as it should be at a restaurant like this. Who I assume to be the floor, or front of house manager, was very attentive without being intrusive. Honestly the whole experience was really great. We have quite a few favorites in CM, and now this is a new one for sure. Despite prices on the higher end of the spectrum, we will definitely be back to Sea Salt at least once every summer.
amazing dinner. Raspberry sorbet with chili in it was amazing. Cobia entree as well
We arrived at Sea Salt at 6:25 for our 6:30 reservation to celebrate my mom and aunts birthdays. We were immediately seated and then greeted by our waiter AJ who was amazing. We ordered appetizers (crab soup, oysters, and calamari) which were delicious, and came out quickly around 6:45-6:50. At 7:10 Aj informed us that or dinner would be out shortly and we continued to engage in conversation but Around 7:20 I noticed that People who arrived after us were being served their meals. My aunt and mother ordered the BBQ CHICKEN and I the fish so I didn’t think it should take that long to prepare. I asked AJ if our food would be up soon at 7:30 and he informed us there was a “problem in the kitchen” but it would be out shortly. In this time the manager was seen making her way table to table to check on her patrons but each time skipped our table. At around 7:50 I asked Aj to cancel our meals but he assured us they would be out now and that he was going to speak to the manager to compensate us. 8:00 rolled around and still no meal. The manager was seen again greeting all the tables around us but never even looked at us. Finally at 8:05 Aj brought out our food which was delicious but by then our time was already ruined. I can say that Aj was amazing and he did speak with the manager and she took off our drinks and appetizers. The manager finally came over to our table to apologize as we were getting up to leave but it was a little too late. We will never eat here again.
Cobia and squid ink fra diavolo were both outstanding. Good cocktails, reasonable entree prices. Service was friendly but a little slow. Will definitely be back
Tried the chef's tasting course and it was amazing! Great service and ambiance as well. Definitely recommend for anyone looking for a nice restaurant close to the beach.
Quick and friendly service ! Great food and options.
We had a wonderful evening. Food, cocktails, and service were great. I thought the manager was phenomenal at her job, only to find out that she was Not the manager, but rather the hostess. I believe her name was Kemlyn. She was on top of every loose end and ran the show with poise and expertise. We will be back for sure.
Our waiter spilled a glass of wine on my husband. Nothing was offered to us but a new napkin. I found the place very noisy. It was our anniversary so it was a special occasion. However,I would not go back.
Ordered the halibut which unfortunately was dry and overcooked. Appetizers were tasty. Staff was pleasant and accommodating, but service was slow. Won't be dining here again anytime soon.
Fish was overcooked and dry. The creme brulee for dessert wasn't set and was runny. Appetizers were outstanding , Mocha cheesecake was excellent. The service was very good. Our dinner was overall a disappointment, but management recognize our disappointment and compensated us for it.
The food was excellant and the waiter and support staff were friendly and attentive.
Great menu and lovely dining room. Patio seating is also available. We tried the beet salad for an appetizer. Delicious with whipped goat cheese. All desserts are made in house. The chocolate ice cream was divine!
Wonderful experience Treated Ike we we’re special. Great tasting menu. Highly recommend
While you can look out over the ocean and sip your mimosa you better make sure they have OJ....yes the hotel/restaurant ran out of OJ! Then my friend ordered an egg white omelette with just spinach and tomato and they charged her $2 more or $14 ... they already had an egg white omelette on the menu which was $12 but for some reason my friends “simplified” omelette was $2 extra because egg whites are more expensive—- per the manager. Waited for a side dish of fruit for my daughter well into the meal and food was bland and cold.
Nix this place!
cant understand piling cilantro ontop of short ribs!
sea salt sundae was amazig!
Love the food and the friendly staff. Having a great time while here a the Ocean Club.
Very expensive for average food
$171 before tip I would rather gone to Ruth's Chris
Solid entrees and a staff that really seems to be trying. That said, the bread was supermarket at level best and the drinks were poorly done. Change bartenders, bake your own bread and I will be back.
We loved the juice selection, and the breakfast food was fantastic. We also loved that it opened at 8 am, so we could see the sunrise on the beach, walk around, return to our room and get ready, and have breakfast once we were nice and hungry. Made it easy to start the rest of the day early. Really nice ambience and view! Already recommended to a friend.
Outstanding menu, well presented. Every one here is friendly and professional. The restaurant to beat this year in Cape May!
Wonderful food with a great shore view. Service was perfect as was the fresh fish choices we made. Great signature cocktails as well as appetizers starts off a meal which beat our expectations. Really enjoyed our meal and Sea Salt helped contribute to a wonderful Cape May vacation. Thanks.
Great great service! Food was creative and delish. Dress code is dress casual. Saw dates, families and friends. Nice atmosphere. You can also request to eat outside on the patio.
We had just arrived down the shore late evening on a Thursday and our plans with others had changed so we were looking for a place that had an opening for two and picked Sea Salt because a) we think (?) it is the same as what once operated in Stone Harbor, b) were looking for a place in Cape May and, c) we had never been here before. We were able to get a table outside which was nice. They have a nice selection of specialty cocktails and the full bar has plenty to offer. Their wine list by the glass is okay. The crab and avocado salad and grapefruit ceviche were both excellent choices to start. The scallop entree was good as was the bronzino but I was left to handle the deboning at the table. The strawberry napoleon was a great dessert and having French press for coffee is always a great way to end a fine meal.
Scallops were good, but the Asian Slaw as a side overpowered the flavors. Should have ordered a different side.
The service was amazing, the food was so delicious, the three piece jazz band was awesome!! Great night out!!
Fabulous setting and equally amazing food!
Food was amazing, service was fabulous
