Searhouse Ratings and Reviews
It was my husband's 70th birthday. The good thing is that they took a reservation for 9 right away...that was the ONLY good thing.
1. I never had a drink order taken.
2. Our water glasses weren't filled once.
3. The noise level was unbelievable
4. The food was meh
5. The service terrible.
6. The cost outrageous for this !
This was the 3rd time we've been there with the last time being a few years ago. It's still as good as the last time. Maybe better. I had a ribeye steak and it didn't need any salt! The flavor and tenderness made it a superior experience. But watch out for the hot plate. They warned me but in cutting it I forgot and blister-burned my index finger. Applied ice for about 15 minutes, the sting went away and I continued to enjoy my steak. Only had a salad and a glass of house cabernet which was fruity and dry so I really enjoyed that too. Pretty room. Valet parking. All in all a seamless and scrumptious experience!
I've eaten here 5 times, but each time was an "occasion" (read: large tab). I've noticed a steady decrease in service and food. When I'm spending $350+ for a dinner for three, I expect everything to be excellent. The shellfish on the seafood tower (not served on a tower, by the way, if that's a presentation you enjoy)was fresh and delicious. The wait service was not attentive. Empty glasses were left to gather, and I had to ask them to remove them. I would have appreciated crumb removal. The filet mignon was good, but not outstanding. With so many fine restaurants in this area I've decided the Sear House is not longer a consideration when I choose to entertain. I just have to add: why can't they find a manager who will diligently oversee service and keep this venue an A+ destination for special occasions or elegant dining?
Once again Sear House hit it out of the park !! The crab cocktail was huge chunks of moist meat served with 2 delicious sauces, I had the Burrata & Fig appy that was to die for OMG it was good. His Steak was cooked to perfection & my Red Eye Tuna was on the money. Can't wait to go back for my birthday in 13 days. I'm counting till then.
Thank you Open Table for booking our reservation on such short notice first of all. We were seating right away once we arrived and was greeted our server who was very pleasant. Our order came out on time and was delicious! Can't wait to return once the roof top lounge is open for the season.
I have eaten here several times and have always enjoyed my meal and the service. There were times that it took long to get seated (Saturday nights), but they took care of us and made it all worth the wait. The last time I went for a birthday dinner and they treated to a birthday dessert which was very sweet of them- it happened to be delicious too! I highly recommend Sear.
We have been to Sear a few times and never disappointed. This time was great also. The owners wife is there and she's so nice and welcoming. We ordered Tuna, veal chops and a pounded veal dish. All were offered with a complementary salad and the mains were delicious!!!
The dessert was divine too. A chocolate mouse decadent cake.
The martini was perfect and the wine recommended was really enjoyed too.
Al in all a fine meal!
I should mention that the restaurant is really pretty and a perfect date night choice.
From the moment we arrived for Easter Dinner, everything was superb. My husbands fish, my steak and his mothers ravioli fantastic!!!!!!! I don't usually eat beef anymore, well the steak I had so good I know we will be back and this is the only place I will ever order a steak! The waiters were all very nice adding to the enjoyment of our dinner. We will be back for dinner
We went to the Searhouse for dinner recently when my mother-in-law was in town. We loved the food and the ambiance and the service was top notch. I would highly recommend this wonderful restaurant for a nice night out at a reasonable price for the quality you get. I'd also recommend it for those with kids; they were every accommodating, they basically made whatever the kids wanted in a small portion.
