My first visit with a friend and we were both impressed. Lovely atmosphere, exceptional service and varied menu. We were early-birds so decided to take advantage of their 3 course price fix dinner which was excellent and a great value as well. I recommend highly and we will be visiting Sear House again.
First time at Searhouse and a great experience. Nicely designed bar and dining areas, beautiful onyx bar. Porterhouse for two was excellent, comparable to NY steakhouses. Nicely varied menu if you’re not having steak. Service, unlike some other reviews I’ve read, was exceptional thanks to Jimmy and his young assistants. A little pricey but that seems to be the norm for steakhouses these days. We were there on a Thursday evening.
First time at Sear for us. The building is very nice and open. There are a number of dining rooms and the seating arrangements are open and not crowded.
I had the Bufalo Mozzarella Tomato Salad and my wife had a Caesar Salad. She loved her salad, but my was not good. The mozzarella was hard and not freshly made and the tomatoes had no taste.
We both order steaks, my wife the NY Strip and I had the larger Filet Mignon. The steaks were cooked to perfection and nicely presented.
The service is attentive and knowledgeable.
The food was excellent. What I didn't like was that our waiter did not wait on us. The person that waited on us was the maitre'd. He took orders from every other table except ours.
Food n service was excellent. My only issue here is I think the valet parking should be optional. They take too long
It was an excellent meal . The NY sirloin was as good as any I’ve had in the city. I will definitely go back .
Food and service were exceptional, but at around 8pm we were jolted out of our seats when the music was changed to AC/DC and Guns and Roses and an unacceptable dining room noise level. Several of the diners complained, but they only lowered the music slightly and did not change the type. Great start, disappointing ending. Our server could not have been more attentive, but he was at a loss as well.
Great steaks and apps. never tried anything diff. but wife has tried pasta dishes and enjoyed them
The food was good but the service was slow and awful.
Great food and excellent service! We will return
Went for valentines day.. I think the restaurant really was not prepared for the amount of tables that showed up (with reservations). Waiting 45 minutes for our drinks and thats after we asked for them twice. Food took more then 2 hours. Bill was $170 for two people and really was not worth THAT much but thats besides the point. Waiter was apologetic which was nice but really did not fix the 3 hours and 15 mins we spent in the restaurant to get and eat our food. I think the steak was good and cooked exactly as ordered (Medium) but did not really have that gamey/earthy taste I would expect after a 28 day aging process that that claim, 7/10. Lobster bisque was a 2/10. I would not eat here again - even if it wasn't a special occasion...
The food was amazing, cooked to perfection. Service was outstanding.
Service was very bad had ask waiter twice where are drinks were when we finally got our food my wife steak was just warm had to ask busboy to get us butter
This was my second or third time at Sear. My boyfriend and I shared a wedge salad, which was great, especially the bacon, however I didn’t care for the dressing. We each ordered a veal chop, which was cooked perfectly and was delicious. I just don’t understand why they smothered it in peppers, some quite spicy. For sides, we ordered onion rings as well as the Brussels sprouts with bacon. Both items were fair. The Brussels sprouts were actually mushy, not at all crisp, which was a huge disappointment. We shared delicious piece of key lime pie for dessert. Our server was busier with a table of women, and it took a full 10 minutes from when he asked if we wanted to see a dessert menu for it to arrive, and actually, it never did as by then my boyfriend was tired of waiting and he knew they have key lime pie.
Have been here several times. Pretty place. Food is very good. Highly recommend the Tuna. Regular on the menu and special was outstanding!
They owner (wife) is just lovely and when I politely complained about a special appetizer, it was immediately taken off bill. Dinner was delish and they even brought us a complimentary dessert!
People are definitely liking the place because it was completely full.
Will return for sure!
Excellent evening. Food and jimmy were perfect.
Food was excellent. Restaurant needs some updating, seat cushions were so flat and worn out felt like table was too high. They have a fire pit in front of the entrance, when we drove up there was a big cloud of smoke coming from pit, it was difficult to breath and we all stunk with smoke, it was so bad that the inside of the restaurant had strong smoke smell. Most of the waiters were polite and attentive accept for the one older waiter (might be headwaiter) he has an attitude and when i asked for a particular drink he told me they don't have it, without even checking with bartender. As it turns out I went over to the bar and asked for it myself and sure enough they had it.
The food as always is delicious and the service is always outstanding. I will continue to return for great steaks and seafood!
Was to have been a birthday dinner for a 95 year old. Sadly she refused to go. 4of us went, it was a nice dinner, portions large.
Took a long time to get the bill. We would dine here again.
Service, food & atmosphere were all right on the mark! Terrific, will certainly go again.
My family loves this place. Every time we go it is always outstanding.
Came here for my 50th birthday. Overall, experience was positive. However, I ordered the Diver Scallops which were very salty and over cooked. Given the price, I thought the food would have been excellent. However, disappointing. The tuna tartare was excellent. The amount was good enough to be my dinner. My husband was very happy with his seared tuna. I would give the restaurant another try and order the steak. My scallops were disappointing. I should have returned them to the kitchen.
Drinks were ample and steak very good. A bit rushed but staff was friendly.
Best service around. Great food, great service, great people.
This was our second visit and it didn’t disappoint. We were there with our 2 little girls who as kids, sometimes behave erratically. The staff was very patient and understanding. So I can’t say enough of the great service. Thank you
Always great food and service. One of our favorite restaurants.
Amazing, excellent service amazing food! Can't say enough good things.
Food was great. Had the oysters, caprese salad, and bacon slices. For entree we had boneless ribeyes, sirlions, and tomahawk for 2. All the steaks were cooked great. For sides we had creamed of spinach, truffle mac and cheese, and garlic broccoli. Dessert we had the lava cake, cream brulee (least favorite), pecan pie, and ice cream. All in all a wonderful dinner. Will definitely come back to try other entrees like their fish and pastas.
My 7 year old and I enjoyed our Christmas Eve dinner with Sear. It was a full house due to the holiday and the staff did well keeping pace with it. Our meals were delicious and we left satisfied. We would definitely dine at Sear again.
Restaurants are always fully booked for holidays, and this past Christmas Eve was no exception. Sear was extremely busy, yet we never suffered because of this; in fact, we had a terrific experience there. The service was top notch, as was the food. The steaks were perfectly done. The side dishes were excellent. Our drinks arrived on time. We weren't rushed. Sear is not an inexpensive venue; so we were again delighted to have a wonderful Christmas Eve family dinner there. Good job, Sear! And thank you for adding so much pleasure to our holiday dining together.
We went for an early Christmas dinner. Restaurant not crowded at all. Service was awful, mostly inattentive staff. Food good but not worth the price or dismal service.
The food and service lived up to expectations on a busy holiday eve. The owners welcoming is also a plus
The waiter gave the impression that he didn't want to be there. I wish the busboy was our waiter. He was very attentive and friendly. I only hope our server shared his tip with him because the only reason he received the tip he did was due to the busboy.
Overall impression is good. Very nice interior, white tablecloths. Service was so so. Slow waiters, nobody asked what we would like to drink. Food is ok. Appetizers were excellent (tuna tartar), oysters super fresh and juicy. Main course was not that impressive. Steak is ok, fish all come with fatty dressing which doesn't fit it well.
As always, this is a great restaurant for our Ladies' lunch. We love the prix fixe meal. Great choices and wine too-yay! This is my go to place for group meal. Thank you.
WENT TO SEARS LAST THURSDAY FOR LUNCH PARTY OF 4... THE SERVICE, SOUROUNDINGS AND GOOD WERE GREAT.. WILL BE GOING FOR DINER...
Each of the 4 in our party ate something different. One of the 4 dishes brought to the table was completely wrong, but the correct dish came quickly. 1 of the four orders was price fixed. The total cost of our meal was $300 including a 20% tip. We all agreed that the same or better quality food, service, etc. could be had elsewhere for less money.
We went here for my boyfriend's birthday dinner. We dined from the prixe fixe menu, which I thought was an excellent value. For $35 per person, we each got a glass of wine, appetizer, entree, and dessert. There is also bread, cheese, and olives put on the table. The food was very good overall, as was the house wine. The ambiance was perfect for the occasion and I will definitely be dining here again.
Great steaks, great service, great atmosphere! We always have a great meal and experince when we dine here...
Thanksgiving group of 7. its a steak house so thats the best option
