Steak for Two Porterhouse Cut
Sear's food is top quality and the service is the best. For Thanksgiving, though, we were disappointed seated in the back room... no windows, near the kitchen, a little noisy. This was not our usual experience however, which normally (non holiday) is always great.
We waited about forty-five minutes to be seated despite being ten minutes early for our reservation. The place was swamped. I know this is probably due to staff shortages. It took a while for someone to come over to our table. He didn’t initially introduce himself he just asked if we wanted water so I thought our waiter was the busboy. Eventually we flagged him down again and ordered. Once we ordered the food came pretty quickly and was delicious. We would definitely come back but maybe when they have more staff or when we have an extra hour to wait at the bar for our reservations. I can see how when the restaurant is functioning properly that it is great.
Weird, cold room. Poor service. Loud, out of place rave music. Food was “meh” and they mixed up my dates order with no comp and no offer of a comp. The offered to remake the dish but she declined (we just wanted to leave).
The food was delicious and so was the service. Will come back for more celebratory dinners.
While the food was good, the service was not so much. We were there for lunch and the place was not very busy at all. The waiter only came over twice but was not very attentive. He looked pre-occupied with other things.
Very nice establishment. Ambiance was notable. Wait staff were impeccable. The only negative during the night was that we witnessed a manager reprimanding an employee in front of customers. There were several in my dining party that used to work in food service during college that did not appreciate seeing that happen in the front of the house. That was the only negative. Other than that, it was a fantastic evening!
Welcoming experience. Staff was so attentive. The food was delicious.
Place looks great! Service is great! Since the name is Searhouse I figured it would be a great steak house...it's not. Such ordinary and below ordinary steak. If they don't fix that they won't be around much longer. Every steak place we called was booked on the Saturday we went except Searhouse...
Always excellent food and service. Lively bar atmosphere.
Daughters 21st birthday
Abysmal service. The waiter never came to check on us and we didn’t have knives for the longest time and couldn’t get anyone’s attention. Many tables around us didn’t get their food or the orders were messed up. Very unpleasant.
Very much like the NYC premium steak houses without the concern of going into a more dangerous New York.
Swanky spot, bit overpriced (no more than any other high end steakhouse though). Sides were lacking... Ordered hash browned potatoes which were served in a cool little cast iron skillet but burned to a crisp.
Horrible food! Even the cheesecake was in-eatable. Fishy smelly halibut, sent back. She’ll steak tough as nails $48! In-eatable! Lobster chowder potatoes raw! Corn husks in the chowder! Cornbread was soaked in oil! In-eatable! Cheesecake was hard, stale, horrible!! WTF!! Chef Should be fired! Ridiculous! Beautiful place, lousy food!
We were a party of 2 and requested a booth in the main dining room. We were told that those tables were for larger parties. We sat at a table for four. There were multiple booths that had a party of 2. Other empty booths were then occupied by parties of 2 while we were dining. Hostess needs better training on how to accommodate customers.
Very disappointed in our meal. We have been there several times and it has been very good. This time it was not.
Great service, everything on the menu is delicious,
If trying the place for the first time Must try mac&cheese, salmon, and lobster tails.
The service , food & drinks were all wonderful!
Great steaks! Just a perfect place. The sides were all tasty. Will come again and again.
Wonderful experience! Graduation lunch was a success. Everything was amazing!
Not up to par. At all.
The service was not good and the food worst. We were there at 5PM and there was only 1 other couple in the dining room .
Delicious meal to celebrate our 46th anniversary. My wife had the cold lobster stuffed with crab as an appetizer and the broiled lobster as the main course. She loves lobster and you can't find it everywhere. I had onion rings as an appetizer - they are huge and delicious and filet as the main course. When we made the reservations we told them it was our anniversary but no recognition. Other tables who were celebrating an occasion got candles on their dessert. Maybe because we were too full to order dessert. However we went there on my wife birthday in February , she ordered the key lime pie and no candle. Maybe you need to be a regular. We go there on special occasions.
Go frequently and always excellent!
Frequent visitor to Sear. Food and value always top notch. Wait staff appeared to be disinterested and not attentive. This is not the norm but we were very surprised and hope our next visit is better.
Waiter was not attentive. Martini was not good. Food was average. Nothing to rave about. Wouldn't go back. Overpriced!
I was disappointed because I usually go to Sear House Grill, in Little Falls. - they are a 5Star + !
I have no complaints, the food was good, and COVID friendly. slightly uncomfortable because my guest had a issue and the staff did not recognize it .
Just average food. Could be better.
Watch out for ants on plates if you sitting near the window.
Once again sear was wonderful. The steak is great the drinks are delicious and the service is excellent. We will be back.
The service and food was great. However, it was disappointing to hear that they took the sushi off the menu, as their sushi was excellent!
The food was over cooked but not bad. However, my boyfriend is black and we could feel and see people looking at us and talking about us. The servers were great and very attentive. If you are an inter-racial couple I would recommend going elsewhere. It was very uncomfortable with everyone looking however that is not the fault of the restaurant.
Food was good but the servers were hovering and moving us a long too fast. Expensive dinner should never be rushed.
Food and service were very good!
Great food and great service too! My wife and I will be back.
I've been to both locations multiple times and have been extremely pleased with the food and the service. The service on this Tuesday night visit was a bit off their game.
Hopefully this was just a bad night and I would definitely try them again.
Searhouse is a great place for a special meal , the quality o the food is tops and the prices are high, but justified by the quality, atmosphere and attentive service.Very highly recommended.
Food was great. Service was abysmal and will not return
