We had read about Seared and decided to try it even though my wife is not a meat-eater. We found the restaurant somewhat dark but had a warm friendly reception.The menu while focusing on steak and fish contrives to be complicated with details of provenance. I found the food excellent; a tuna tartare(special) to start which had an intriguing array of spices and a hanger steak (chosen for its smaller size) which was cooked to perfection with a wine sauce, spicy dip and outstandingly tasty fries. I would recommend this restaurant heartily with the caveat that the menu for vegetarians is quite limited.

We have been dining in the Seared location for many years. It's comfortable and familiar to us and we like that. We always sit in Geoff's section because he provides us with the service we don't get anywhere else.

We enjoyed eating at Seared in Petaluma again. The server, Michael was most gracious and knowledgeable about the menu and specials. Every evening there is a special selection besides the regular menu. The wine list is not extensive, but what we ordered was delicious.

Read great reviews about this restaurant and was hoping to find another good restaurant in Petaluma. This restaurant is in the same location that Graziano's occupied for many years. Were hoping Seared was an upgrade over Graziano's - unfortunately not. Ordered the brussel sprouts appetizer based on favorable reviews, but found it watery and less than appetizing. A bread plate accompanied the appetizer and this was a real shocker - the bread was chewy and doughy like it had not been fully baked. We were told the bread was from Healdsburg which makes no sense when you consider the excellent Della Fattoria bakery is right across the street from Seared. Didn't stick around for the entre - booked a reservation at another restaurant instead.

First time to Seared. Steaks were great and perfectly cooked. Filet and Scallops were the best of all. Service was spot on. Will return and tell my friends.

Brussels sprouts appetizer was a highlight as well as the mushroom side dish. Both entrees very satisfying -- Lamb chops and Maryland crab. Caesar salad different but good.

Opened now for a year, this restaurant is a great improvement over its predecessor. We started out with the wedge. We didn't find the fried onion topping very appealing. We weren't sure about what was to follow. My wife ordered the lamb. It was perfectly cooked, mouthwatering and flavorful. I ordered the prime rib expecting a run-of-the-mill experience, but was pleasantly surprised with one of the best presentations I've ever had. Combine that with the exceptional, pleasant service....we will definitely be back.
