Feast on steak, fresh seafood and more at Seared. Its casual setting features exposed brick walls, as well as an open kitchen where guests can view their meals being prepared. Executive Chef Joe O'Donnell with help from his team creates dishes using fresh, locally sourced ingredients. An appetizer of filet skewers with saffron rice, deviled eggs or bone marrow with confit of garlic and grilled bread will tantalize the taste buds at Seared. We have been to Seared 3 times before and had great food and Vodka Martinis.. this last Sunday we ordered Halibut that was raw and stake that was over done.. Martinis had small ice ice chips floating, really watered down! I do not believe we will return or recommend to our friends.

This was the second time my husband and I had a date night dinner at Seared and both times were excellent in terms of food and service. We were even seated at the same table both times and will consider it "our table" from now on. We noticed the menu had a wider array of options beyond steak this time and had a really hard time choosing. Our waitress was really informative and helped us make our decisions, which we were both thrilled with - Pork Shoulder for my husband, Yum Yum Prawns for me. The ricotta toast appetizer and Coffee & Doughnuts dessert were also incredibly good. I've also been to their Happy Hour a few times and have never been disappointed - the food and drinks are great and you can't go wrong with the Happy Hour prices.

Made a reservation for Friday night with my husband because after a tough work week. I went in with the intentions of ordering a filet mignon. We ordered the calamari to start. I ordered the lamb chops medium rare, my husband ordered the prime rib and we went with a side of brussel sprouts. My lamb came out a bit rarer than I was comfortable with. My husband devoured his prime rib and the sprouts were over cooked and appeared to be boiled. We sent those back. The wine was divine. I wish my chops had been better but they weren't. The saving grace was our adorable waitress whose name I did not get. She saved the meal so we will venture in again and I am just going to go with the filet.

We were a group of 7 out to celebrate a special occasion and were no disappointed! It was restaurant week, so we ordered off that menu and everything was as expected. The filet and shrimp were both done very well and the desserts were both really delicious. We have been here before and will be back.

First time at Seared. I had heard about it originally on Yelp, very glad we finally were able to enjoy an evening out. I had talked to others before going to dinner and heard the burgers were amazing but I had to try the lamb first time around, definitely enjoyed them would have ordered another side dish for the table to share. Without a doubt for starters I'll be getting the Dungeness Crab Deviled Eggs!! All was good my husbands Halibut was delicious but very small portioned. I would go back and try the burger. Service was great very attentive and helpful.

We all loved our meals. The Seared House salad was terrific, no bitter arugula taste at all.
Two of us had the line caught Halibut. The flavors were great, the fennel with sunchoke puree and myer lemon was delicious, however the fish was a bit overcooked.
Two others had the surf and turf - fillet and shrimp. Nothing overcooked there - all was perfect. In fact the sauce was so good, after they finished their food they asked for bread to sop up the remaining sauce.
Surprisingly the waitstaff never brought or offered bread before or during the meal, even though they served Della Fratoria baked bread.
I plan on going back to try things off the regular menu!

We came in for lunch during restaurant week. It wasn't too crowded since it was a later lunch. Its not a huge dining room, so I bet it gets crowded at dinner. Everything was exceptional from the food to the service. And the prices aren't outrageous for a nicer place. Highly recommend giving it a try.

We had a great experience dining at Seared during Sonoma restaurant week. Everything we ordered was prepared perfectly and tasted wonderful. Our server, Micky, was very attentive and knowledgeable. The only downside for me was the decor - it still has the remnants of Graziano's. I'll definitely be back to try their scallops!

We dined at Seared for Sonoma County Restaurant Week after hearing reviews from friends who had previously eaten there and it did not disappoint. The food was fresh, cooked perfectly and everything was seasoned just right. Not being a steak eater myself, I ordered the Halibut, which was heaven on a plate, but I also tried my boyfriend's Rib Eye and let me tell you....I could've eaten the whole thing. It was cooked exactly as requested and the caramelization/char they achieved on the steak was on point.

We sat in the bar area for shared appetizers and drinks. Shrimp & Grits were great; Scallops were outstanding! Love that Thursday night special is 25% off bottles of wine.

Had the Kings cut prime rib and wished it was double the size. Server was spot on with everything. Drinks were never empty and we never felt like we were forgotten about. Place is a little crowded but that's just a sign of good food.

Great up and coming resturant with an ambitious menu. Amazing fusion of flavors with a revolving menu depending on which ingredients are season. If you are looking for great night out and to dazzle your taste buds, look no further. Go to seared!

The food was great. Seating however was horrible, there were like forty tables squeezed into a space made for about half of that. Super tight, surrounded by people all around just a couple feet away. Kind of killed to romantic mood because had you had to raise your voice to speak over all the background noise. Service was great, food was great. Would definitely come back but probably not on a weekend or holiday.

I took my wife here for a Valentine's dinner and was not disappointed. Bartenders were awesome and suggested a few drinks not in the menu which were very tasty, such as the whisky mash. The good was great except for the spinach salad which was nothing to brag about. Being it was Valentine's day, the place was packed and loud, I practically had to yell at my wife. Service was good, except the servers kept mistaking our table for another couple. Overall we really enjoyed our fingers and we'll definitely return when we visit the petaluma area again.

Seared recently replaced a long-lived Italian restaurant that was very popular with the prom crowd as far back as my high school days (20+ years). I am happy to report that Seared carries the torch of excellent food, great ambience, high service, and romantic possibility!

We were here for a wedding, bride suggested we should try Seared. Great waitress warm and attentive-a local gal with a beautiful smile who gave us great suggestions Trout is delicious as is fennel soup!!! Filet mignon excellent. Would definitely return.

This was one of the best meals I have ever paid for. The Rib eye Steak was incredible. They have a special way of searing the meat to give it a delicious outer crust. Just awesome.

A special dinner for my son's birthday....food was excellent and service was superb. We had a great dinner without feeling rushed, took our time and enjoyed every bit of it. The waite person attending to our table was very attentive from the very beginning to the end and made great suggestions when asked.

We had dinner here for my husbands birthday. We started in the Bar - they have an amazing happy hour. Our bartender Kevin was great and really knew how to mix a great drink. $5 dollar cocktails and an assortment of discounted appetizers. Our dinner was fantastic very fresh and local ingredients. One of the best steaks I have ever had. I can't say enough about the wonderful staff everyone was so nice and the service was perfect!

We live North of Healdsburg with many wonderful dining options - but we will be back to visit Seared! It's worth the drive.

It was disappointing to see that the new owners didn't update the interior. It is cavernous, the lighting is distracting, and it is not a comfortable setting either in the dining room or the bar.

The wait staff was friendly but slow to respond. We had to ask for the server to bring the wine we ordered 20 minutes earlier. My husband's steak was properly cooked which was a good sign. The bacon on my wedge salad was delicious, however there was so much on the salad I had to scrape most of it off. The dressing was also quite good.

I think there is potential here with some tweaking.

Most of the food on my plate was not edible. Lemon potatoes were too sour, Brocoli RAB was so bitter we could not eat it. I'm sorry but for the price, we should at least get bread at our table. We watched the wait staff fill fancy bottles with tap water. Really. We will not return.

We decided to try Seared to celebrate my birthday. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food and service. My filet mignon was so tender and tasty, and my husband's nori wrapped ahi was delectible. The chocolate desert was just perfect. We will definitely return.

Very disappointed . I had the bone in rib eye. The steak was tough and 20% of it was gristle, I have made rib eyes at home and they were not aged as the steak at Seared was supposed to be however, mine were never as chewy the one I had at this restaurant.. It also was too thin for a steak which did not allow for the crusty surface and tender interior I had hoped for.

Found Seared on Open Table to celebrate the retirement of our friends. Everyone enjoyed their meals, the service was attentive, and the atmosphere conducive for conversation. We'll be back if ever in Petaluma again.

A great dining experience! Warm, friendly staff serving first-rate food from Chef Joe O'Donnell. His dishes are traditional yet inventive and the flavor combinations are well thought out and flawlessly executed. You can get an excellent steak or a fresh piece of fish, expertly prepared and the side dishes, far from being afterthoughts, stand on their own while perfectly complementing the entree.
We were quite impressed. Our second visit was even better than the first. Petaluma has some very good restaurants but Seared has shot up to the head of the class. I unhesitatingly recommend Seared.

Was cold and stark. What used to br a classy vodka bar is now filled with aging raw cuts of meat. This enclosute is right in your face when u walk in the door.
The restaurant has a great old red brick. It is screaming for some art or warm colors or a fireplace and instead it has large blank walls and looks and feels cold. To be fair the food was pretty good. Bone marrow sauce to die for, trout yummy. 14 OZ STEAKS easy to finish. My husbands steak was too done. Sides were great. Martinis were super good. It was empty on a Tuesday night.

Ribeye was tender enough to cut with a fork!
Prices were reasonable for this quality of meat which is Prime for except for the fillet which is Choice.

Everything was perfect. The only thing needed was a dimmer on the chandeliers. My Prime rib was excellent!
We will be back. Petaluma has a great new addition to its wealth of restaurants.

I made reservations weeks in advance for New Years Eve for a party of 2. I was celebrating my birthday and requested a special table. We showed up and was seated in the back next to the kitchen door in the far corner of the restaurant The server was somewhat rude and overall was not a good experience for a big night like New Years Eve.

I ordered the scallops and risotto which were both tasty but it was the location where we were seated and our rude server that ruined the entire dining experience. I most likely wont go there again. I'm sure I could have been treated much better at a number of other restaurants but heard good reviews about Seared so gave it a try. No returning for me.

This restaurant is relatively new to Petaluma. The food was excellent. We were a party of 6 and everyone really enjoyed their dinner. There was a set menu of several choices for the New Year's Eve dinner. Something for just about everyone, even vegetarian. We were seated upstairs so the noise level was pretty good. The building is an old Petaluma building but that is part of the charm. Would highly recommend giving it a try!

Excellent service... Great food... A bit noisy, but not that bad. My wife and I were really happy with the eating experience. I would highly recommend this restaurant for a very special evening. Be beware... it is a bit expensive.
