Feast on steak, fresh seafood and more at Seared. Its casual setting features exposed brick walls, as well as an open kitchen where guests can view their meals being prepared. Executive Chef Joe O'Donnell with help from his team creates dishes using fresh, locally sourced ingredients. An appetizer of filet skewers with saffron rice, deviled eggs or bone marrow with confit of garlic and grilled bread will tantalize the taste buds at Seared. Guests can try an entree of shrimps and grits, prime rib with horseradish or a hearty cheeseburger with Monterey jack cheese and a slab of bacon.
Seared has a full bar that serves specialty cocktails, as well as Petaluma local beer and wine selections. It features the River Room for private functions and for hosting in-house events like paint night or watching playoff games. This restaurant has happy hour and welcomes reservations.
My wife and I celebrated our anniversary at Seared. The food was unbelievable....the calamari melted in your mouth, the filet mignon was delicious, and the vegetables with the flat iron steak were so good we would consider being vegetarians!

Seared was a new find for us, and we were delighted! The service was superb, and the food varied from good appetizer to an excellent scallops dish with the filet mignon being very good. We will be back, and very soon!
The new owners have done some remodeling turning the place into an echo chamber. Good luck on trying to whisper something to your beloved across the table. Clatter and even noise from the street made it a place where I couldn't wait to get the entree so I could get out of there. The food is very tasty and very expensive for me. I was hoping for more. There are so few places to eat of quality in town that are quiet and consistently good food.
Love this place and their great prime rib and oysters. The salads and wine list were also good. I would return.
Four meals. Three were the flat iron steak which had good flavor but was too tough. I had wild caught king salmon which was perfectly prepared but then ruined by the addition of smoked bacon. The flavors fought with, rather than complemented, each other. Extraordinarily high noise level made it hard to converse.
I had the Apple a Day Salad, mushrooms and the Ribeye. Everything was amazing and although I left super crushed full, I loved every bit.
Seared is our go to spot in Petaluma, any time we have a special occasion we want to celebrate, we go to Seared. You won't be disappointed. Portions are good, the food is excellent - get the coffee & donut dessert.
Good food selection & good service. Presentation of food was beautiful. First time visiting the restaurant and thoroughly enjoyed the trip. Will be back!
We took my in-laws for their 55th wedding Anniversary. We were 5 minutes late and yet our table was ready. We sat down and Michael came over and was just a hit with the table. He was their when you needed him and yet not over doing it. We have not had service like this in a long time. We took our time and had a great meal from the Lamb Chops, to the King Cut of Prime Rib and the Fish Specials. but more important then that we had OUTSTANDING SERVICE. Old school. From the front desk till the time we left the staff was just outstanding. We will be back I still have a few more items on the menu I want to try.
