Sear was everything I expected, and more. From the moment you enter the door we were treated exceptionally well. The service was excellent as was the food. We will definitely return.
We had a group dinner in a private room. The service was wonderful and the food just as good. Convenient to get to if you are staying in one of the downtown hotels, it's located in the Marriott Marque and you can get there using one of the several indoor walkways. Not as pricey as Ruth Chris or Ray's but the food equally as good.
Wonderful Sunday brunch!
My fiancé and I frequently try new restaurants and I am extremely pleased. Great service and food quality and love the ambiance
Food was EXCELLENT. A little pricey, but it's a 4 star+ restaurant, so worth it! Service was EXCELLENT as well.
Friendly and attentive server, great food from appetizers to salads to main courses
I thought it was overpriced for the little food we were served. The food was just ok. The steaks were overcooked and small. The staff was very professional and accommodating. The environment was beautiful. Overall, the food was a disappointment but the staff were very nice.
The service was not very poor. I’ve dined here in the past with just the opposite experience. I prefer restaurants with consistency and this most recent experience was unfortunate. The food was fair not the best steak and was cooked to what I specified when ordering. I would tell anyone dining hear after this most recent experience it’s worthier going to be a hit or mess.
Amazing ambience. Great food. Perfect date. My Group had an amazing time. We arrived with in the last half hour and never felt rushed.
Though the hotel itself was very impressive, this particular eating establishment was nothing more than average. The food was rather bland, the shrimp cocktail had hardly any flavor and the cocktail sauce was runny. The steak was charded with an awful, bitter aftertaste. The complimentary chocolate strawberries were the best part of the meal. Wine selection rather limited. SEAR might be great for hotel visitors, but for a special occasion, I would not recommend it. The prices are steep for what you get. But unlike higher rated restaurants whose higher prices are justified, this is more likely due to being in a hotel rather than related to the quality of the service or the food.
I had a great time dining at SEAR. I was there to celebrate my 21st birthday and they did an amazing job accommodating my friends and I. The food was delicious (I had the 8 oz. filet mignon - so good), the ambiance was wonderful, and the service was very attentive and kind. I would recommend this restaurant for celebrating a variety of occasions or even for a nice casual dinner.
It was one of the best steaks I’ve ever had. Nothing else was even worth mentioning....
The staff of SEAR were very accommodating with regard to our group, which turned out a lot bigger then anticipated. Well done.
Pleased with experience overall. Attended a very busy convention and pleased that noise level was not an issue for our business dinner. All pleased with quality of food and very good service.
Excellent Ribeye steak - unbelievably good asparagus.
SEAR was alright of an experience. The food was good, but not impressive. My fiancé and I went for the first time before a show at the Fox theater - we probably won’t be going back.
Wonderful food! However the service lacked.
Our service was terrible. The food was amazing. We've always enjoyed eating at Sear while in Atlanta but next time, will simply specify to not be with our past server.
We were seated promptly. Food was prepared to order and served timely. Our drinks came with our appetizer since the restaurant was short staffed. They place was full with customers and our waiter worked tirelessly to keep us and his tables around satisfied! Desserts were phenomenal!!!!
sixth year here for market, always eat at Seat at least two to three time while at market.
We waited over 20 minutes for water and drinks. The food was awful and over priced.
My employees and I travel to Atlanta every January on a buying trip for my shop. One of the three nights that we are there we eat at Sear. We look forward to it each year and are never disappointed. The food is wonderful and the many layered chocolate cake is always worth waiting a year for. We will be back!!!
When we arrived at the restaurant we were seated promptly. The server came to the table while we were discussing business and realized not to interrupt. She very nicely walked away and came back a few minutes later.
The food was served as requested and was very good.
Overall a good experience.
Soggy shoestring potatoes
Totally raw steak
Server reaching over my plate for no reason
Really disappointing as it used to be good.
They were so accommodating; we arrived right before the brunch buffet ended but they made sure we got everything we wanted. Our waitress was so friendly. We had a very pleasant brunch! Thanks!
Excellent meal that will not be forgotten. If we ever return to Atlanta we will definitely dine there again. Great selection and service was unreal. Ten star dining experience.
The food was excellent. I had scallops—perfectly cooked. My husband had the New Years three course dinner—strawberries and champagne, salad, filet, and dessert. It was definitely a football crowd. A little noisy, people in jeans and football garb. The service was so so. Don got his entree before he finished his salad and there was not enough room on the table for both. Restaurant was not full. I think it would be a totally different experience had there not been a game the following day.
Seafood was excellent. Shrimp and grits and crab cake outstanding. Bone In Strip extremely overcooked but replacement steak cooked perfectly. Did not like the au gratin potatoes at all.
Over priced for the poor quality of food and service
The steak was odd. Very bitter. Never had a bitter steak before. The lobster ravioli would have been good if the lobster hadn’t been over done and someone hadn’t drizzled balsamic vinegar over the cream sauce. Doesn’t everyone know vinegar curdles cream? Ugh.
The service was pretty good. The drinks weren’t bad! It was quiet and the ambience was soothing. The food? That kinda sucked.
Oh, except for the corn crab chowder. My husband reminded me that was really good.
La comida no fue buena ni en presentacion ni calidad
We ate here after the SEC Championship game because everywhere was booked. We were pleasantly surprised with the hush puppies and would tell anyone who eats there to order them. The steak was cooked wonderfully. The potatoes were bland and not worth the price. The worst part was the lack of attention from our actual server. It took 10 minutes for anyone to say hello after we were seated. The manager was the only one who waited to hear our response before walking away. I am sure for the cost, one could find a better meal.
Our 2nd visit. Family holiday get-together. It was so good, we brought the family back for another delicious meal! This restaurant has its very own top/notch culinary staff . All baked goods are made on premises. Food is fresh with a range of options to satisfy all preferences. If you don't see it on the menu or wish to have modifications to entrees, they will accommodate your requests. The wait staff is friendly and professional! We will definitely return on our next visit to Atlanta.
Very creative meme items. Fresh ingredients . Impressive presentation from the simplest menu items to more elaborate entrees. Dessert menu is fabulous. Impressive wine list but most important, an attentive wait staff!
Our family went to Sear for the Thanksgiving Day Brunch and it was amazing!!! The service was excellent as well.
I only wish the bar was open for Sunday brunch and there was a live band or better music. Everything else was outstanding.
Food was good but service was slow. Conference in town but didnt seem like the restaurant knew so there were not extra staff working. Full lunch took over an hour and a half. On a normal non-conference day, would be good spot to go to. Waitress was pleasant and helpful but over whelmed
Breakfast on day 2 was a disaster. The hotel was hosting an insurance convention and the restaurant did not have the proper staff (cooks, waitresses) to accommodate the function. My table waited 45 minutes for our food (only eggs and toast) and finally the waitress said it was ok to go to the buffet and get our food. Food still did not come and had to leave at 9:45am to go to a meeting. Mind you we had reservation at 8:15am. Waitress was put in a horrible situation but then tried to stick us with a bill. There is no way that waiting for over an hour we should be expected to pay a bill. Complained to the front desk. Had to leave for a 10am meeting and waitress was no where to be found.
