An alternative to mainstream steakhouses, Sear provides diners a menu developed from locally-sourced ingredients curated by the hotel's award-winning culinary team.
Taking cues from hotel architect John C. Portman, Sear’s facelift invites people in from the buzzing hotel lobby with stunning sliding doors, opening up the space to passersby. Adorned with art by local talent and complimented with a mix of wood, metal, concrete and leather elements, the space mixes farmhouse ambiance with industrial style.

Really good atmosphere and food
The Sear team helped me surprise and delight a guest of our hotel for their anniversary and the couple was super appreciative!
SEAR was great! The ambience was great and our server Malcolm was incredible. Steak was just slightly over cooked but still absolutely delicious. Compliments to the chef, Urias (sp?). Would definitely visit again and again!
Baked Oysters, Lamb Shank, Diver Scallops were very good as well as the kale. Not a big fan of the potatoes. The Peach Cobbler with Cinnamon Ice Cream was without a doubt one of the best I ever had. But $10 for a bottle of VOSS water was a bit much. Overall though very nice experience.
The breakfast buffet here is top notch. However, the other food is awful. We got a chicken dish. It had greens, raisins, butternut squash, and chicken. The chicken was yesterday’s. Chewy and stringy like it has been left out overnight. The dressing on the salad was disgusting and the butternut squash was like small rocks. The only thing we ate was the raisins.
Horrible. Bad service. The food was under par...I would not recommend eating here. Ever.
Food was good, not great. Thought the quality of the meat was not to the level I was expecting.
Everything was excellent and I appreciated the ability to visit with the people dining with me because the noise level was low.
Had the 28 day dry aged Kansas City Strip Loin. Very happy with my selection. The brussel sprouts were only ok. Service was excellent.
My husband, friend, and I had a lovely meal at Sear. We had an early dinner (so there was little noise) and the food was tasty and at our table promptly. I had a terrific Georgia mule - I would definitely return for that cocktail!
Our service was wonderful, but the food was not worth the money. My brother in law got the Kansas Citumy ribye and it was the best. The filet mignon was overcooked and tasted strange. It was NOT good. My sister in law wound up having hers comped. The restaurant was gorgeous and our service was wonderful, but the food disappointed.
Overall a better than average hotel restaurant. The quality and presentation of the food was very good to excellent. We had no trouble with service that I had seen mentioned in a few other reviews - our waiter was very attentive. The value was par for a higher end steakhouse.
Really enjoyed the new atmosphere!
We really enjoyed the overall experience. The food was great! We especially enjoyed the whipped potatoes. Honestly, if anyone goes to a steak house and orders anything besides the steak, they should know that they aren’t getting the best thing on the menu. The steak had great taste, cooked to the right temp for us, and the sides complimented it.
The hostess was timely and attentive. The food was fresh, hot and delicious! I really like the results of the renovations! Very chic!
we had a terrible time to expand our reservation and ultiamtely just made a second reservation, only to find that the restaurant was about 20% full that evening. I personally assisted in picking all of the appetizers and sides for the table (of 13 people) and when the entrees arrived..... mine was missing. The server missed and forgot to enter my entree. WOW! They then proceeded to "quickly" cook another ribeye; and by quickly I mean it took 20 minutes to get to the table and the entire party had completed their entrees. The best part is when my steak arrived, it was NO WHERE close to medium. It was Rare at best. Dang near mooing to be honest. At this point called it quits and simply moved along with the check (which was about $1600) and finished the night.
Very disappointing to say the least.
Great breakfast buffet
Food was good but nowhere near worth the price. Very inexperienced service and for how slow it was, getting initial drinks took forever. Super overpriced for the experience. Eat somewhere else and come to this hotel for the other two bars/lounge.
The service was slow and the food was not worth the prices. I will not return.
Like the fact that it was quiet and relaxed. The food was good, however I could not understand why we had to pay for every little think such a bread to side salad. Example if you ordered scallops, you only received scallops. Nice but very over priced.
To fancy with the menu. Would have like just good food. For a steak house not much meat on the menu
We eat here every January when we are here for market, Sear is one of our favorite’s, we Highly recommend this restaurant, great food, and great service
Unfortunately the steak was over done. I chose to not return it because I hate waiting when my other guest was eating and would be done before I even get a new one. They should know how to cook a steak for the price. It was also very thin, not thick like I am accustom to. No one came over to discuss except the waiter. Otherwise everything was excellent and the new renovation was beautiful
We had an absolutely horrible time. We waited 20 minutes and no one came to the table so I had to go up and wait at the hostess stand for the hostess to come out and ask her to send someone to us and she seemed confused and want helpful at all. The food was terrible. Don’t waste your money here. If I could rate it a zero I absolutely would. 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻
We were very disappointed with the new Sear. The prices are higher. Our favorite sides were no longer on the menu. It’s been a tradition for my employees and I to go to Sear every January during the gift show. The change in decor was nice but seemed to have a colder atmosphere with the wood, metal, and concrete. I’m not sure where we’ll go next year. I’m sorry.
We have always eaten every night at Sear for dinner while we are at the Atlanta Gift Market for over 6 years. We have always enjoyed the food and good service. We made reservations for three nights at Sear this year. The service was so bad that the hostess had to take our order and it took us over 2 and a half hours to eat. We asked for extra butter 4 times (for the $4 bread we had to order) and finally received it at the end of the meal when we were finished. Your menu is terrible! The loaded baked potato, wonderful wedge salad and roasted chicken did not exist anymore on the menu. Those were our favorites. The new wedge salad was not a wedge salad a all. The chicken you have now had no taste and I think it must have been boiled. We canceled our other reservations and ate elsewhere the rest of the trip. We will not be back unless the menu and service goes back to the way it was.
Their remodel is too modern and cold. Two weeks after their reopening our dinner took nearly 3 hours.
The Night from Hell!
The service was awful. The waiter did not check up on us. No refills. The two times we saw him, he hardly had time to deal with us!
The steak (ordered medium rare) arrived well done and lukewarm. The vegetables on the side was one (!!!) wilted green onion. It was not for human consumption. The shrimp in a jar were marinated in pure vinegar. Just terrible.
The grooper was under seasoned and just boring. But it was still swimming! In grease!
Last but not least: very bad service, bad and totally overpriced food!
We complained to management but did not get any response! Very disappointing!
This is the first time in my life that I felt writing a complaint like this.
Management should have offered a discount or something!
Our server TJ was delightful but our food was disappointing. Have dined here several times , but this evening was not good as for our meal.
Not sure if we will return.
I had a breakfast meeting in one of their private rooms and it was excellent. The breakfast buffet in the main dining room was delicious and had a number of different choices for people. The service in the private room was outstanding. In addition, the catering manager went out of her way several times leading up to the meeting to make sure that they would meet my expectations.
Wrong dish served. I was busy and did not have time to look at the menu to check. One of the most expensive dish on the menu was not looking presentable at all (a piece of meat on the dish, that was it!). I did not even imagine I ordered something like that. And they put some vegie on top and said that was my meal. Unacceptable!
The service from the waitress and those greeted us was excellent though.
This is one of the very worst restaurants I have been to in the past few years, and I am including fast-food and airport restaurants here. Sear was recently renovated and looks nice, but 1) the food came out after a long wait 2) the food was bad — and not in subtle ways: the French fries were cold and mealy, the steak in a steak salad was half raw and half well done; 3) the service was rude when not non-existent. The table next to us left after waiting fruitlessly for their food for about an hour. All quite remarkable! One would expect a reliably mediocre experience instead, at a massive conference hotel like this.
Service was poor and dishes salty, unattractive and expensives.
Already explained to chef and manager
Looks amazing and comfy. But food selection is extremely limited. Service was slow. It took one hour and forty-five minutes to get entree.
It was horrible. Food was marginal. Servers were awful. They stood around and talked to each other out in the open about how horrible there tables were. They forgot half of our food and then brought it when we were finished eating. Don't waste your time!!
Considering the restaurant was no where near crowded during our dinner meeting, service was pretty up and down. Very nice staff just made some mistakes, like bringing dishes out to the wrong people, not attending to drinks, and making us wait to sit/order. Beautiful location in the Marquis but we will not be back.
TJ made for an enjoyable evening.
Andrew the waiter was cordial and phenomenal!! He was attentive and prompt
Took a long time for waitress to engage our table for drink and food order.
