Amazing food. Service was impeccable. Atmosphere was vibrant and sophisticated Would give my highest recommendation !!
Not worth the money. The porterhouse for two was not flavorful. The filet ordered came out over cooked. We sent it back and by the time it came out everyone else at the table was finished eating. When it did come back out the center was cool. The steak fries were overpriced for the quality. The dessert was a joke, I ordered the lava cake and it was the size of a hockey puck.
Love this place!!
Our meals were excellent and the service was terrific.
Good drinks and delicious food.. what more could you want!
Love this spot. Nick is the best!!
Great service and very good food. We will be back.
Went on a rough night snow storm, food was okay but it's been better. Service is always excellent
Went there to celebrate my birthday. Service was subpar. Everything was slow and we had to wait a while for the waiter to take care of us. Very expensive.
The lobster and steak was fine, but the salmon needed more seasoning. The pickled beets were amazing!!
The scallops weren’t great. My gf couldnt finish half her plate. And thats her favorite dish at a few other spots. I had a chicken dish with peppers and onions that i thought was delicious. Service was great. They even swapped our drinks for better ones. Their drink list is pretty bad.
Went for Valentines Day. First time back since we went for Valentines Day 3 years ago. We hadn’t gone back, because the service was terrible that time. There were a lot of empty tables, so service was better this time.
I thought they had a good menu and they didn’t overcharge for Valentines Day. We sat next to a gas fireplace which was continually going on and off and we found it a little distracting. They also handed out carnations and not roses to each of the ladies. Probably should not hand out anything if it’s not a rose.
We will definitely go back. My wife asked whether she should order lobster tails for $59 or sea bass for $34 and the waiter suggested the sea bass. I felt like he was being honest and not upselling us. Overall, a very nice evening. The lady bartender was also very nice.
We've gone her 3 out of the last 4 Valentine's Day and usually at least a couple of other times throughout the year. Food was very good my wife always goes with filet and I usually try something different today was the bone in ny strip, both cooked correctly. Staff was a little off today but I'll mark that as it being a little crazy on a holiday night.
Great food and very quiet.
For the price meal was not what we expected
Dined here on Valentine's Day., it was an early dinner (6:00pm). The bar was jumping and a few people were dining there. We had a reservation and were seated immediately in one of the smaller dining rooms. We were offered the regular menu as well as a specials menu. We both ordered from the special menu, Bronzino for my husband and tuna for me. Both were very good and done perfectly. In addition to the regular dessert menu there were two specials. The service was very good even though it was very busy. Wait staff was friendly and attentive. I highly recommend this restaurant for casual dinners as well as special occasions as it has a lovely ambiance.
Run don't walk to this fabulous establishment. We have been to Sear House on a number of occasions and we have never been disappointed. Apparently, this restaurant is very popular as we watched the tables turn over more than once or twice. This is my go-to place for lamb chops as they are far better that any other steak house. My husband is very critical yet he loved the Caesar salad and veal chop and gladly ate them it without any complaints. The owner makes sure to visit all the tables - another sign that they really care. And the service cannot be beat. You will feel important at Sear House Grill because the staff is attentive and the food is fabulous.
Our favorite spot!! Love the grilled artichoke
The food was excellent as always. I have been there several times with large parties in the private room. First time in the general dining area. Good lighting. Somewhat loud, may benefit from damping.
Disappointed with the red wine that was extremely warm when brought. Had to put in a bucket of ice for about 15 minutes to get the temperature in the correct range. I think the extremely hot conditions it was stored in altered the taste.
The service was outstanding.
Had heard from a few friends that the Steaks were great. I was not dissapointed. My wife and her friend her friend had the Tuna, excellent! We will be back!
Nice place when you walk in. That’s where the pleasant experience ends.
The service from the moment we sat down to the time we left was poor. The baked clams were dry and very fishy. The swak came out under cooked and cold. The mashed potatoes were cool and lacked flavor. Didn’t have two different bottled we ordered.
The wait staff spent more time on their mobile devices than taking care of the customers (the table next to us said the same thing).
Not worth the price. Charging New York City Sean house prices for Bennigans type food.
Another wonderful meal.
Slow service. Decent food. Expensive
Food and service were absolutely incredible, we will absolutely be back. The only issue experienced was the pointless valet parking and waiting nearly 10 minutes in 9 degree weather for my truck (nevermind someone else waiting even longer since his keys were misplaced).
It was awesome from start to finish! Our waiter Nunzio was excellent
Service and food were outstanding
Can't wait to go again.
Well worth the $800 for 4.
Perfect! Great food and great people!
The food was great, the service was welcoming. The music was a little loud...great overall! Very friendly people!
The food was awesome. Will go back for sure!!!
Wonderful atmosphere - a bit pricy but worth it! Good food, good service and cool vibe
I love this place. The service is on point and the food never disappoints.
Wonderful dinner. Service was excellent and professional.
The staff was extremely attentive, without being intrusive, and friendly. Our waiter, Manny, was friendly and made several very good recommendations, he made it a very enjoyable evening. Nick the manager was interested in our having an exceptional time.
Amazing!!! Great food- fabulous overall,...like be it and plan to come back many many times in the futur
we have been to Sear many times and we are never disappointed. we've taken different friends and they all loved it. We will be back.
From a great bartender to attentive maitre d and waiter everything was spot on. Our entrees were great...try the tuna...and filet mignon was perfect.
Appetizer - Crab Cake was served cold. Menu claimed lump crab pieces. Consistency was mushy.
Short Ribs were extremely fatty and not worth the price. Wine (Smith and Hook) Cabernet was overpriced. I usually do not complain on a first visit, but this was my worst experience for what passes to be a better grade dining establishment.....
Great place. Always love going there. Friendly staff.
If you are looking for a good steak or a nice fish entree, this place is worth a try. The food was excellent. However, the prices would suggest a little better service and professionalism from the wait staff and the front desk staff. When the host failed to see our name on the reservation list, we found it for him. We were seated without being offered any kind of a coat check and one was not visible. We put our jackets on an extra chair at our table which was fine until they came and took the chair to set another table. It was then that the waiter mentioned that there was a coat check. It was unbelievably warm in the dining room and we were moments away from asking for another table when the air finally began to cool down. We never saw a wine list and one was not offered. We ordered our meal and realized after the order had been placed that we did not order sides. We had to flag down our waiter to ask for them. It seems as though they should have been offered. Our waiter did a decent job all in all, but nothing was exceptional about the service. In my experience, the best steakhouses are known for the professionalism of the waitstaff. SHG seems to need to invest a little more time in training.
All that being said, the meal we ate was outstanding. The Brussels sprouts and bacon were a highlight of our meal as was the burrata appetizer. I ordered Seabass which was cooked perfectly and my husband enjoyed a ribeye steak which was excellent.
This was my third visit to this restaurant. We chose it for our wedding anniversary and had a not so special dinner. The service was horrible.
We made a reservation and were seated very promptly. The rest of the night was down hill from then. Wait service was unacceptable. First he brought us the wrong drinks after about 10-15 mins. Way too long to have someone wait to start their meal.
We ordered apps and they came out reasonable quick and accurate. The waiter never checked back with us to see if we needed anything (Black pepper for our salads).
Once we ordered our main course we did not see our waiter until he presented the check. The busboy asked if everything was okay I asked him to check on our sides. Never saw him or the sides again.
Just too many places in North Jersey to choose for me to ever go back there.
