Considering the restaurant was no where near crowded during our dinner meeting, service was pretty up and down. Very nice staff just made some mistakes, like bringing dishes out to the wrong people, not attending to drinks, and making us wait to sit/order. Beautiful location in the Marquis but we will not be back.
TJ made for an enjoyable evening.
Andrew the waiter was cordial and phenomenal!! He was attentive and prompt
Took a long time for waitress to engage our table for drink and food order.
The Food was good as well as the service. Purpose of the dining experience was for a business meeting. This instance we were seated in the main dining area and the noise was a bit much to carry on a conversation. Other instances at SEAR we were seated in a more private dining area, which made for a good meal and meeting environment. The breakfast buffet is outstanding with many options.
The service was wonderful! Excellent and will be back next time.
Every staff member was very pleasant and took very good care of our table. Breakfast Buffet offered a variety of choices. Food was fresh and eggs cooked to order.
Very good job considering the amount of people they were handling.
Will come back very soon!
Service and food great. Overpriced a bit. Nice updated decor, but no coziness or real ambiance...too nuevo sterile.
Food was good. We did the breakfast buffet, so had limited service.
Excellent food, great staff, and quiet!
The food was Great! And the service was amazing.
Sear was not what I expected for a hotel restaurant. I had the salmon and it was cooked for perfection. Would defiantly return.
I don't usually eat in Hotel restaurants but I am glad to have tried Sear. Very friendly waitress and also a good server. Ate what she recommended and it was all the right choices. Will definitely go back next time we are in the area. Also cocktails in the bar were very good.
Great food and great service. Just enough attention and all the food was perfect.
Don’t feel it’s worth it: while we agreed this is a nicer restaurant as far as hotel restaurants go, the actual dish execution is unfortunately not equivalent to the cost. The prices would be fair if the food itself was better. Things were over cooked and overall not as enjoyable as expected. The service overall was good. The menu execution just needs improvement.
Excellent Food. Good Service. Recommended for developing business or personal relationships :)
A relaxing dinner after work in Capella courseroom. Attentive server. GREAT variety. Staff pride in their work is obvious. Prices are in line with location, convenience, and quality. Recommended.
Excellent food, I had the scallops my colleague had the salmon and everything was perfectly cooked and wonderful.
The setting was cozy and comfortable and the service was impeccable. Definitely one of the best filets I've had, perfectly cooked and served with a tasty garlic butter.
Our party of 4 ate early, when patronage was sparse. Food good. Service good. Wine Pricing high, but acceptable for the hotel setting. Food and Dessert pricing high. Sear is useful for convenience if staying at the hotel, but we'll check other local options next time we're in town.
Went to Atlanta to meet some friends for my birthday and dined at SEAR as we were staying in the Atlanta MArriott Marquis. Had a wonderful evening - the service was stellar, the ambiance quiet and upscale and the Crab-stuffed-Hush-puppies were AWESOME!!
Appetizer was good, but main steak was not good. I ordered rare, but they served medium.
The atmosphere was pleasing staff very friendly the pan seared scallops along with filet was cooked to perfection. Would highly recommend this restaurant if you're staying at the Marriout.
SEAR offers comfortable dining in contemporary setting, which my companion and I appreciated. We started with the lump crab cake appetizer, and having been on a lifelong quest for the perfect crab cake, I think we found it at SEAR. No kidding. For dinner, I ordered the rib eye steak, and while pricey, every bite was scrumptious. Unfortunately, my companion got the scallops, and they were rubbery--either overcooked or previously frozen, hard to tell.
The best part of SEAR though was our waiter, Andrew. A total PRO. The kind of old school waiter who treats customers well. I appreciated his professionalism.
Overall, it's a good place to have dinner.
We had our annual school luncheon. This was a wonderful, and professional experience. The hostess were very welcoming. They had our tables together as requested. The waiters were friendly, accurate and provided us with excellent service. To top it off the food was absolutely fabulous!
We met friends here and the food was great. Service was even better. All strong great evening. I had the filet and it was prepared perfectly.
Steaks are always perfectly cooked and delicious. Love the atmosphere.
Made a reservation and assumed they would be prepared. They seated us and then we sat and waited and waited. No one came to take our order and see if we wanted anything to drink. I had to get up and find someone to see who was working our table and try and get a drink. Waited a long time in between courses. Then ordered ice cream for dessert. We wanted an ice cream Sunday. They brought out a bottle of Hershey syrup for us and set it on our table. And then about 10 minutes later our ice cream came out and it was all melted like it had been sitting out in the kitchen for quite a while. We told them we were unhappy about our experience. The manager came over and apologized but that was it. Not a good experience and way below our expectations.
My favorites are the grilled veggies and the salmon. One of my favorite places in Atlanta!
Manager was very nice. Food overcooked.
Great server & service. All of our steaks were not cooked exactly to the temperatures we ordered, but still very tasty.
Marrion our waitress was AWESOME! We had her at lunch earlier in the day and she was great then! We were thrilled to have her again.
Good food, but way too many flies landing on the food. The manager was great about it, but again, too many flies
The waiter was absolutely horrible. Pushy, arrogant, demeaning, derogative, and unpleasant.
First time at Sear celebrating my birthday vacation. Loved everything, I will be back.
We enjoyed dining at Sear in order to celebrate our 28th anniversary. The service was great and the food was wonderful. It is a bit pricey, but that's what you expect in a downtown Atlanta hotel.
The food and service was great. The atmosphere was nice and spotless. I will definitely go back.
We had a larger party of 8 and we might have been the only guest. 5 of the guest ordered lamb chops, 4 were cooked to the wrong wellness. 2 of them switched their plates, even though that made their sides incorrect. 1 just decided to eat it and 1 just didn't eat. They did take care of that last guest and the chef did send a bottle of wine over to help out. It was a nice evening even with the cooking error, but you would think that a "steak house" could cook the meat to the proper temperature, especially on a slow night
Beautiful restaurant and the food was great. We'll definitely be back soon.
I got the salmon and it was good. There was not that many people that night so it was nice and quiet. Look nice
