Seaports Restaurant and Lounge @ The DoubleTree - Seattle Airport
This is a hotel restaurant & lounge. Those generally don't have to be good as they have a captive audience. But this is actually a pretty nice place and the food was very good. My only issues were related to service. Not that it was bad (it wasn't). But there were some minor stumbles. When I showed up for my reservation, there was no host/hostess to be seen. I waited several minutes before a passing waitress told me to just grab a table if I didn't want to keep waiting. Then, my server kept "sneaking up on me", standing behind me to ask questions vs. approaching from the side where I could see her. And she had no idea what the catch of the day may be. But she was quick and attentive. And the food was very good. Turns out the catch of the day was halibut, it was delicious, and the sides were very good.
Overall, the food was a little pricy but not obscene. The food was delicious and beautifully prepared.
I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here again, but I would gladly take the elevator to the lobby and eat here instead of heading out to grab a taxi.
The food was good, but the service was slow, not because the server was really bad, but just not enough servers to handle the numbers. Additionally, the manner of handling seating was a bit frustrating. Anyone under 21 had to be seated below, which I understand, but it put all the screaming kids in one little spot and was very loud and clearly felt like we were an annoyance, even with teenagers. It would have been much more pleasant to be seated by a server in a more courteous way.
Being by myself I opt tp sit at bars when available rather than a table. This proved to be a good choice as the Bar Staff were very knowledgeable and accommodating. Menus had something for everyone and beverage choices were much better than expected. Ate there 2 nights out of 3 and would go back on my next trip to Seattle.
Great place to catch any game as they have multiple TVs and and a casual atmosphere.
I left a detail review on Yelp . Service was extremely slow . $26 for dried out chicken wax ridicules . The chicken died in the window . The potatoes that came with the chicken where gross . The dessert came out so slow that the server compt it. The value just was not there. Better product served at KFC or Popeyes for a fraction of $140.+ that we spent.
We stayed at this DoubleTree because we had an early flight the next morning. We had already returned our rent car so we needed a place nearby. After checking reviews we saw that the restaurant in our hotel was actually one of the best in the area. My husband had a salad and I had the flatbread (pizza). Both were really good.
Good bar to chill down after a day of work. The. Hotel is huge and the restaurant bar not so much so it gets very cramped there.
Food is not outstanding but good enough to make us go back
Staff set up tables in quiet area on a Sea Hawk night...much appreciated!
It is assumed that you are a guest of the hotel when you go. More bar than restaurant size wise. Food and service was still good, but a limited menu.
