This is a great place. My wife and I have eaten here over 18 years on our vacations and it never disappoints.
The part that really upset me was when we arrived, the host was answering the phone for future reservations, giving no attention to those with current reservations. I was quite upset about that.
Wrong thing to see as you arrive. Otherwise.....I may go back. Not sure.

Second visit to Seagars and both were superb dining experiences. I love a great steak and Seagars is top of the list. If you love quality food and great service this is the place to go.
Example of the service I was shown to a table and an adjacent table had one adult and three small children. We ordered drinks when the children started acting out loudly. Our waiter then arrived and I had no sooner expressed "I don't think this table will work" when he quickly went to the Maitre'd and showed us to a great table with no muss or fuss. Thank you.

Food was great! Was very disappointed with the service. It took 10 mins to be greeted at our table after sitting down. Once greeted, we ordered our entire meal right then. 2 hours and 15 mins later we walked out. During those two hours we saw the staff only 3 times.Never greeted by the manager either, even though he was walking around and greeting the other tables. Unfortunate, because the food was good. We won’t be back

We have been to Seagars 30-40 times over the last 20 years. I think this is the first time I have left disappointed. We were seated a few minutes before our reservation and put in a private side room (which I think was part of the problem). It took a while for anyone to come get our drink order. When we finally ordered, we waited over an hour for our food and the appetizer was brought out with our dinner. The dinner was good but not hot like it had been sitting waiting to be brought out. We finished eating and it was at least 15-20 minutes before anyone came back to check on us. It was my son’s 18th birthday and we wanted to get dessert but we had already been there close to 2 1/2 hours so we just got our check and left. It just seems if you are going to spend $500.00on dinner you will be given just a little more attention that we were given. This has been one of our favorites places to dine over the years but planning on taking a break from it.

Our steak was delicious. Really superior but the service nearly ruined our evening. We were never quite sure who our server was as 5 different people shuffled between us. Drinks took 20 minutes to get, our appetizers were delivered to the wrong table. Bill took too long. Fortunately the steak was wonderful. Need to get the service staff on the same page

Service was very inattentive. There was a captain who came to our table once to crumb it after dinner was completely over. Pretty sure he didn’t do his job AT ALL.

Our dining experience was exceptional! The steaks were extremely well prepared and the service was impeccable! My only suggestion would be that the pianist play a bit softer so conversation can freely flow between people dining.
Excellent food and service. Prices especially for liquor are high even for that level of location.

Seagars is our favorite restaurant for special occasions! The minute you drive up to the valet parking, you are welcomed by smiling attendants and a fire and water feature. Upon entering the restaurant, we admired the 2 huge Red Rose “Tree” arrangements and were warmly greeted by 2 hostesses and promptly shown to our table. The Fois Gras special was amazing! My husband had the steak special and I enjoyed the lamb chops! Both were cooked to perfection and very tasty. We enjoyed a nice bottle of Italian red wine with dinner and finished our Valentine dinner off with the chocolate soufflé!! This restaurant never gets old!!!!

Cory the entertaining bartender was fabulous. The waitstaff especially the blonde girl were simply perfect. All the food we had was incredible. I wanted all the dishes I saw on other tables, it all looked so tasty.
We dined here two days before Valentine’s Day to miss the holiday crowd. We had a reservation right at 6p when they opened. We got there about 15 minutes early (can’t ever guess how traffic will be on Hwy 98) so we had a drink in the bar. The host had said he would come get us at 6:00, but he forgot about us, so at 6:10 we had to go get him to seat us. We were the only ones in the whole restaurant until about 6:30. The service was prompt and low key. My husband had the wedge salad, which he loved, and I had a wonderful lobster bisque. Our filets were what we expected - perfectly prepared and delicious. We enjoyed the mushrooms and mashed potatoes as our sides.
They did forget to add our bar tab to our dinner bill, so we were presented with a separate bar tab as we were getting ready to leave (we thought maybe they had comped us the drinks since they forgot to seat us when they said they would). That was a minor thing but required pulling out my wallet again.
Overall, a wonderful experience. We had not been there for probably 15 years (it is a bit of a drive for us) but we will probably put them on our list for special occasion dining in the future.
The food is always superb and our waiter, Scott, provided excellent service. This is the restaurant we like to bring our guests as it never disappoints.
