On vacation in Philadelphia. Nice intimate restaurant with great food and service.
a good neighborhoody place but we were last customers -- did not stay late but at 9:00 could smell the ammonia fumes from kitchen clean up - our table was way back nearest the kitchen. Still....
A hidden hole in the wall. Can’t tell you how often we walked past thinking it was a dive. Anything but! Just an old fashioned, simple delicious fish restaurant with fabulous food, and don’t forget their homemade desserts. They also allow you to bring own wine with no corkage charge.
Always good seafood
Our meal was absolutely delicious! Our server was outstanding! Will definitely be back!
My second visit and both times I was pleasantly surprised. It’s small and assuming place but has great seafood , service and drinks. I don’t live in the city anymore but I love getting their emails about specials and will try to get there more often.
I loved It here! I found It on open table for a last minute reservation on a Saturday and had no idea It existed. The bartender and owners were both so kind. The drinks were amazing and the food was even better! We’re going back this week for $1 clams and oysters (at the bar always)!!
Great food and service. Parking a problem, especially on rainy night, but that is expected in city area
Excellent service and fresh fish prepared properly
Good seafood selection, BYOB, cozy . Great location close to AVA
Great place... Food was excellent and freshly done... The place is very small... Remember cash only... There is an ATM machine on premises
Great place for quality seafood dinners. No frills; not trendy—just solidly good food and service at reasonable price. With a full bar, they still allow you to bring your own wine.
Great neighborhood restaurant. The food is always fresh and good. It's BYOB. Unfortunately, it is also "cash only".
I enjoy Seafood Unlimited with my husband, with my grandson and happy hour by myself!👍👩🏭
We have been dining at Seafood Unlimited for many years and have never been disappointed. Our grandchildren have enjoyed several meals there as well. Always a good bet for a finely prepared meal by a chef who was trained years ago at The Restaurant School.
Wonderful experience at Seafood Unlimited. Had the veggie tempura appetizer and panko crusted sea bass Fish was lightly battered and delicious. Service was friendly and attentive even though the place was packed. You can bring your own wine (which saves on cost), but do be aware that this restaurant is cash only.
Food was excellent. The staff was very attentive. Drinks were on point. We will definitely be back!
This is a gem with outstanding food, wonderful owners and staff, a nice bar and friendly, meet-your-neighbors atmosphere. Forty years of success is not an accident. It's a "go-to" for fish and for meat eaters there is a good steak on the menu, as well. Desserts are great, too. It's hard to come up with enough superlatives without sounding like I'm trying too hard but this really is a terrific restaurant. Don't miss it; you'll keep going back for...well...decades.
Great service! We were seated right away, and our server was terrific. We enjoyed all of our courses, and the drinks were terrific too. Great value, especially for this neighborhood.
vegetables were cold, beer was not good, service was so so.
After reading Tripadvisor's reviews we thought this would be a lot better than it actually turned out to be. The service was very good but the seafood was pretty tasteless. But at least no one got sick!
This place is surprising because the best items to order are different from the normal seafood restaurant. Here you should order the daily fish specials because they include their freshest and best preparations of fish. Most restaurants are trying to get rid of old stuff with specials. Seafood Unlimited is offering their best. Other than Salmon, they will run out so don't expect to return in am few days and find the same items offered. The next surprise is that they make the best soups in the city. Again, try the soup offered on the daily specials list. They are made in limited quantity and they run out frequently. The daily special soups are SPECTACULAR! Think of potato/leek, sweet potato, broccoli, cauliflower and other root vegetables you wouldn't normally favor. Made the right way, with a terrific mix of ingredients and seasoned well they should not be missed.
Very friendly atmosphere. Seafood was fresh and well prepared. Many alternatives to choose from.
A hidden gem that has been around for 30 years. How did we miss it?
The food was not seasoned at all!!!! They only offered the restaurant week menu! The restaurant is super tiny and I practically felt like I was on a date with the couple at the next table. I wasn’t impressed.
My party went for Restaurant Week. Our group grew from 3 to 5 and was accommodated by staff. The Restaurant Week options were delicious. My favorite was the carrot coconut ginger soup. We will be back despite some of us came from the suburbs, neighborhoods and one on foot from her Center City office. Parking in the area is what is for the Rittenhouse Square area. Bon appetit.
My son and I were both disappointed with the quality of the food and the serving size. Compared to a restaurant that I dined at the week before for restaurant week which was exceptional. The waiter at Seafood Unlimited however, was the reason we actually stayed. He was extremely nice, considerate and made sure we were okay throughout our dining experience. Food was not good and for the price the food tasted like it was not freshly made but store brought. Serving sizes were extremely small. I hope they do better in the future.
I've frequented Seafood Unlimited quite a bit and this experience was just a little bit different. I've gotten larger portions in the past and I feel like we were rushed in eating.
Perfect from start to finish!
Had a very nice evening will like to return their again
The food was okay, was not the best, you do get what you pay for though! Also, great service!
Had an all girls dinner during restaurant week. The food was delicious, the service was fantastic, the people there were very patient, and we will be back.
Had an 8:30 reservation. They wouldn’t seat me until my husband arrived, he was parking the car. Several people came in after me and were seated without their whole party. Food was terrible. Ordered tenderloin well done. It was medium rare. Had to send it back twice. I cut it each time and they kept grilling it and pouring more gravy on top. After the second time it was dried out and drenched in gravy. They didn’t even grill me a new. I would not recommend this place. Very disappointed!!
My husband and I thought we were the butt of a practical joke dining here this evening. The restaurant was horrendous at every level. It is next to a nail salon and there is a pervasive odor of nail varnish. The tables were dirty: I had the displeasure of sticking a finger into gum as I tried to steady a tipsy table and my husband put his hand on a sticky mess on his side. It was restaurant week so we were presented with a fixed menu. It was dreadful: the rice ball was without flavor and the wonton was so salty it was inedible. The next course was a stale hummus that had discolored it was left out so long, accompanied by grease soaked cold pita chips, and a grossly over cooked faro in a tasteless supermarket mixed green salad. The main courses were inedible: foul tuna in a bath of soy sauce soaked rice noodles, and gelatinous orchietta with “shrimp.” We got the desserts to go: pumpkin bread pudding and chocolate mouse that we have just binned. And a bottle of Pinot Grigio that could have been put to better use at the nail salon next store to remove the gel finish. HORRIBLE. AVOID.
Had dinner with my mom tonight and the space is super quaint and cute. The food was delicious, we didn’t wait long for any food. It was fresh and hot and super flavorful. Staff was friendly and right on time with everything. I highly recommend this spot.
Excellent food & service. Great restaurant week menu.
Always reliable small restaurant favored by a neighborhood crowd.
We visited Seafood Unlimited on a Friday evening. We had reservations and were seated immediately upon arrival. The food was fabulous. I ordered a 3 course fixed price meal of chowder, tuna and tiramisu. All were excellent. My hubby had the chowder and seafood quintet. He raved about his meal also. When in town again, I will definitely return to Seafood Unlimited.
Great food and great service in a cool space!
Pleasant and reliable
Seafood Unlimited food was excellent. Accommodated my husband’s dairy allergy attentively.
