Seafood Peddler

We always enjoy our time at the Seafood Peddler and this time was no exception. Menu choices, food & service all excellent.

The ambiance was wonderful as we sat outside in the garden with large heaters in the evening.

We loved our meals. We ate steak (grilled to perfection) with two Canadian lobster tails with the best ever Au Gratin potato and the oven roasted Alaskan halibut.

Our desserts were scrumptious: upside down pineapple cake with whipped and ice cream and key lime pie with coconut ice cream.

The service and staff were outstanding!

Ordered Lobster roll, which is not a roll but a toasted slice of bread with maybe an oz of lobster, came with coleslaw and fries. Not worth what they charge.

Even during the pandemic, Seafood Peddler was smiling, servicing, and presenting an amazing dinner experience. We have a lovely time (as always -- it is a favorite place) and the food and people were delightful. Sorry they will suffer with the current roll back -- let's all mask up and flatten the curve so our favorite businesses can reopen and thrive!

Terrible place specially for this time around and during COVID 19! We made reservations here and asked them if we can seat at their advertised patio area. They had many tables but no heater ! The host Arcelia lies to us saying that they have 3 working heater. When our party got there she said sorry only 1 works! And we could not find a spot around their working heater. We refused to sit and eat there as all their other sits were indoor.
The food was also not at all impressive or 4 star! Very average .

Amazing view and excellent food too. Delicious bread but save room for the rest. Excellent chopped salad and clam chowder. Fresh fish and nice seasoning on the pasta dish. A fine meal.

Perfect spot for fun gathering, with delicious very fresh traditional seafood menu.

Went to experience the “voted best clam chowder in Sausalito” and it was one of the worst meals I have ever had! Will never go back. And will never recommend. So disappointing on so many levels.

Took my girlfriend there for her birthday. All she wanted was a nice Lobster tail for her birthday..... and Seafood Peddler did not disappoint. Great value and excellent food. What more could u ask for.

Food very good, and a nice setting

Extremely rude. Made a reservation for one through OT. I turned up and the hostess said she had no table for me. I reminded her that I had a reservation, and she said I was late, so she gave my table away. I then showed her I was actually seven minutes early, and she looked at me with a smirk and shrugged. I walked out and will never return, which is too bad given that I used to eat here several times a month.

We went for lobster night on Monday which is reason enough. The lobsters come with all the fanfare from bib to bowl. If you arrive before 7, stop in the bat for BBQ oysters and $5 martinis. East coaster happy place!

Our lobster bisque never came, but by the time the check came and we realized it was never coming, I had already had two cocktails that were incorrect. I ordered the spicy margarita that came with muddled jalapeños, but “easy on the mix” (because sugar) and it had no jalapeño whatsoever and zero heat.

Because I was annoyed by that, I ordered a habanero-vodka soda with lemons, and I had to confirm that I wanted lemons not limes, and it came with water, not soda.

I was so frustrated I didn’t say anything (my bad, but come on...they weren’t busy at all either...)

End of the day, I got two cocktails that weren’t what I ordered and our soup never came, and it was really expensive. 3 out of the 5 things we ordered were incorrect. I’ll speak up next time but it ruined my afternoon.

When someone says soda or soda water, we want bubbles.

Just too many mistakes. Our whole plan was to stay for a couple hours and keep ordering snacks but we were so irked we left.

Not so great. Even with a reservation via OpenTable, we got an inside table, whereas all the tables by the window with a "reserved" sign were off limit to us. The food was just ok. Quite pricy given the quality of food/service we received. I will not recommend this place or go back again.

Service was rushed and food was average as best. Location and locale very nice.

Wonderful food and service. Fresh seafood is outstanding.

We go to SP fairly often and always enjoy it.
We went on Valentine's Day this year and thought it was probably the best meal we have had there. Our waiter was also very good.
The only minor issue was that we had requested the small room on the south side when we reserved and they were unable to seat us there. Maybe we made our reservation too late, but this has happened several times now there. In fsct, as we were driving to the restaurant I said to my wife that I doubted we would be seated in the room we requested.
Stil, we enjoyed the dinner very much and will return!

Best seafood place to eat ever! great service and the food was so delicious...try the petite filet mignon and TWO lobster tails for $40.99:!!!!! We are coming back soon!

Have been going there for years even back when they were in San Rafael. Always had great seafood and a great time

Valentines Day

We had the Australian Lobster Tails and the fish and chips. The food was average, less than what I expected for the price and location.

A delightful restaurant with excellent food and service. The views from the restaurant are terrific. If eating al fresco is desired, the outdoor area is sheltered and pleasant. This is a wonderful spot for a romantic or special occasion.

Always a great place to go for fresh seafood and an ever-changing menu. You can’t go wrong with some of the classics.

It was our anniversary celebration and we came here for lunch. From the moment we arrived everyone was so warm and kind. Our waiter was very nice and always with a smile on her face. They put candles on our dessert. The food was amazing, we got miyagi oysters, lobster, chocolate angel cake with hazelnut ice cream.. each dish was special and delicious. We highly recommend this place and we can’t wait to go back.

We love Seafood Peddler. Best clam chowder. Best service. Fun bar and Happy Hour. Richard the owner greets you like family. GO!!!

Great fish and lobster

This spot was the perfect choice to get caught up with my stepdaughter & celebrate her birthday. Manuel was a very friendly host & assigned us to a great table at the window. Octavio was an attentive, nice waiter and we really enjoyed our meal choices. The bonus ice cream with a light candle was a classy touch!

Pleasant venue with broad selection of seafood options; informal and active. Good bar and attentive wait staff. Nothing exploratory on the menu. Very good beet salad with arugula as well as fresh crab cocktail and large beer batter dipped scampi. Good choice for predictably enjoyable casual dining.

Beautiful view. Excellent food and service

Our food was delicious but several dishes had too much salt - the French onion soup and the crab roll.
We know some salt is necessary to bring out the flavors but too much spoils the taste and enjoyment. Better to let diners add salt if they want more. a restaurant in your price range should not be making this mistake.

Busy, bustling evening with attentive service. Food was terrific and wonderfully hot. Petrale sole was perfectly cooked.

The food was exquisite and perfectly prepared. Of course, being Christmas Eve, I anticipated they would be busy and they were. I eat there fairly regularly and quite frankly, the service is always good... I was a waiter for many years and I don't go out to eat just for the food, I look for great service... That's also why I usually avoid eating out on or near holiday seasons as service always seems to suffer from the restaurants being overburdened and may be a bit understaffed.
Good service is friendly, courteous, food served well prepared and hot, and getting requested items promptly. Great service is all of the above with the exception that the waitstaff has the time to anticipate the needs of the customer before they have to ask.
Overall, I've always been happy with the Seafood Peddler and look forward to their usual great service after the holidays.

Cheever’s...big table of 20 next to us so a bit nosy but understandable. Happy, efficient, calm waiter. I had the 3 lobster tails- excellent.

My husband wanted lobster and this is definitely the place to get it in Marin. Service was good. I enjoyed the calamari and my husband loved the clams on the half shell - he is from the east coast and this is one of the few places you can find them in our area. I had the lobster bisque and it was not to my taste. It did taste like lobster, but I found the texture off putting and prefer a smooth creamy bisque. My husbands lobster was perfect. I like their mixed grill appetizers for dinner. Things came out of the kitchen well cooked and quickly - we will be back!

As always, super-attentive and friendly staff (but not "over friendly"/nuisance), and obliging when substitutions requested (risotto vs potatoes). Great location, excellent seafood.

Always enjoy the food at this restaurant.We had a great waiter who went out of his way to make sure we had a good experience.
