SEA180 Coastal Tavern
Reservations are for indoor tables only, we are not accepting reservations for patio dining.
Wonderful brunch with a lovely environment, hot food at all times in the buffet and plenty of servers.
It took half an hour to be served a drink. The meal came before the drinks.
Fantastic food, except the coconut tres leches cake was no longer available :( Christa, our waitress, was outstanding like always, she makes us feel right at home.
Sea180 offers valet parking for a small fee, the service was great and the food was excellent
Great view and great food. Very helpful staff. A little too expensive for my liking but good for a special occasion
Food was perfect. Service was friendly but everything from drinks to main course was super slow. We had a good 2 1/2 hour dining experience and we were fine. Just curious how you meet a minimum of 2.5 to 3 turns a night at a place like that.
Went to SEA180 for an early Mother’s Day lunch. Everything was delicious. We ordered the calamari, shrimp cocktail, the shrimp and crab Cobb and the cheeseburger. The view is spectacular from the patio. We have had great food and great service every time we have eaten here. Loved it!!!
We enjoyed our dinner on the terrace with the sea waves in view. Staff were kind enough to turn a bank of heaters which were a little much on this particular night. Hotel offers valet parking for $3. Menu was a bit limited on fish but we found things we liked. Service was very good.
Server pleasant. Service very very slow. Good appetizers. Dinner disappointing. I ordered scallops with pork belly. My husband ordered the same. Literally, I received ONE scallop, plump, about the size of a half dollar, and a half scallop. $24. My husband got two scallops. ONE and a half scallop! $24. We don’t mind spending money on good food, but this was disappointing, and scallops not great. I think that the pork belly is supposed to make up the balance of the protein. This menu item needs to be retooled. Kids were happy with their burgers, but the adult entrees need work. We have been to Sea 180 many times. Stopped going for about 2 years because we had a terrible experience. Went back this time for a special occasion and we thought the location merited a try. I think we are done now. So sad as there are no other options right on the beach in this area. This place should be a shining star! I enjoy several Cohen restaurants, but we are scratching this one off the list. Please get a manager and chef from another restaurant to do a redesign of menu and help the staff. The staff genuinely wants to please.
I had to run an errand to the South Bay and while that far south I figured why not try again to have lunch at SEA180° Coastal Tavern located in a beautiful boutique hotel, The Pier South Resort, Autograph Collection in Imperial Beach. It has indoor and outdoor dining as well as poolside service, you can see what a great place this is and the view, amazing!!!
My great server Shannon ensured I started with a hydrating buffet so to speak, water, iced tea and a Bloody Mary made with Absolute lime vodka, house-made mary mix, and glass rimmed with bloody mary salt.
When she returned we discussed the many items on the menu that I wanted especially in the “Sea Starters” section. I mainly wanted to know size of the dishes so that I didn't over order. I settled on two items based on her description.
The first was the Oysters "Rockefeller" Dip, made with spinach, artichoke, bacon, and garlic cream served with potato chips, toasted focaccia. This was so rich and delicious I was only able to down 1/3 of it. I brought the other 2/3 home to reheat and luxuriate in it's richness yet again.
Shannon had brought out both starters simultaneously so I was back and forth nibbling on the dip and the Bacon Wrapped Shrimp Taquitos which were jalapeño stuffed shrimp, applewood smoked bacon, wrapped in corn tortillas atop baja-ja slaw with lime crema and tamarindo BBQ dipping sauce. You could lose your religion on this one. Again I brought ½ home to have along side the dip.
Came for a birthday celebration for my wife. After being seated in a booth, waited fifteen minutes for a server to greet us and take our drink order. We left before a server even got to our table. As we walked past the host rhat seated us and wished my wife a happy birthday, she just said, "Thank you," not acknowledging the fact that we had just walked out of their restaurant within 15 minutes of being seated. Menu was overpriced and typical of Cohn group menus: uninspired, and behind the times.
Great Service and wonderful food.
Food was served cold and poor quality. Ate my dinner without a napkin and used a dessert fork. Service was very slow.
This is our second time at SEA180 and the second time the service was slow and poor. The other restaurants that this chain owns have great service and food. I can't understand why SEA180 doesn't do a better job.
Food are delicious and service is great with a great view. Will be coming back next time with the family. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Food and ambiance was great. A little dark and hard to read the menu. Our waiter was not the most attentive but maybe this was due to the holiday
Love this place, I have many friends who come here the view is spectacular 😎
We went to SEA180 twice this weekend with our out of town guests. The management and servers (Whitney) went ABOVE and BEYOND! On a busy Friday night they made sure we had a table right away (after a terrible experience at another local restaurant) They brought drinks/appetizers quickly and were so friendly and cheerful! We all enjoyed our main courses, even our picky kids. Our out of town guests were so impressed! SEA180 saved our Friday night!
We also attended Easter Brunch. We made reservations well in advance and had a BEAUTIFUL ocean front table waiting for our party of 7. The restaurant was decorated for Easter and the buffet was large with vast variety. Endless champagne 🍾 topped off our brunch perfectly!
The hotel valet is another perk of SEA180! It’s affordable and makes parking in a busy part of Imperial Beach a breeze! We highly recommend SEA180 and will be taking all our future guests there.
We stayed at Pier South hotel for a quick overnight stay-cation and ate at SEA180 for dinner on Saturday night to celebrate my wife's birthday. I checked in earlier in the day with the hostess stand to make sure they had a nice table for us, but when we arrived they were unsure where to seat us (outside vs. inside). After wandering around a bit, we settled inside at a large cozy booth.
Food was good, appetizers were tasty and my wife's squid ink pasta was legit. My scallops and pork belly dish was just OK. Only problem was the timing, we were barely half way through appetizers (which came out somehow before drinks!) when entrees arrived. Creme brulee was solid but I had mentioned in my reservation, and at the hostess stand that is was my wife's birthday, but we still had to ask our server if they did anything special for dessert for birthdays!? Definitely felt like an afterthought but the server was great and he brought us another dessert with the bday candle to blow out!
The next morning we planned to eat off-menu all American breakfast in the restaurant based on my membership status with Marriott...now I fully understand it was Easter and they had a massive brunch setup that was the main focus of the staff, but when we presented our breakfast vouchers for regular non-Easter breakfast we were turned away and told that only applied to in-room dining. We were starving so it got a bit heated and uncomfortable as we argued that we were not told that (as they had just changed the plan for the day based on volume) - so back upstairs to the room we went to order room service and wait. The front desk comped us the resort fee, but the restaurant could have handled it better IMO.
Overall we loved our stay there and close proximity to the beach and ocean and fun Seacoast shopping and dining, so we would definitely consider coming back again for a staycation.

The staff was amazing today and on top of our every need.
Meeting my finance broker’s assistants for the first time.
Vacation and loved it! We will be back soon!
It will be nice to have more tables close to the glass and see the sunset, we got a table right in the meddle, but overall nice place to have a glass of wine: food was delicious!!!
The service was amazing, the ambiance was nice the time that we spent there was great not too noise not too silence the red sangria and the beers were really good temperture, but the food was good not really taste but was ok. Overall everything was good also I fell in love of the view. I loved to see the ocean from my table.
Wonderful, as always. Food great, service great, took friends and they were impressed with the view outside.
A great place to have dinner with a friend. Service was prompt and food was tasty.
We visited Sea 180 on a Wednesday night. It was not crowded, probably 70% full. We sat outside and watched an amazing sunset and ordered dinner. Our waiter was knowledgeable about the menu and made excellent recommendations. He was attentive but not bothersome and the food came out quicker than expected having read some of the reviews, maybe 20 minutes. The catch of the day, swordfish, was excellent and beautifully prepared plated. We had a memorable evening and I would recommend visiting. A jacket or sweater is nice if you want to sit outside in the spring or fall.
Always delicious food, good staff, and you can not best the location.
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this place! Great location right on the beach, great ambiance, great/amazing FOOD, beautiful view, and service was great too. Very relaxing and well worth the money. We went on a double date night and had a great time. Definitely coming back again soon!
We sat outside to watch the sunset. It was beautiful! They provided blankets for everyone and had outdoor heaters. The view is gorgeous. The food tasted pretty good too! This is not a cheap place to eat, but we decided to go all out. I had the fish of the day which was swordfish. It was very good and I really liked the corn, butternut succotash that was served with it. I would have liked more. Husband had salmon which was also good.
This is our go-to place for any company. Food, drinks and service always great.
Good food, fair prices, hard working staff. Great ambience. Always busy, great environment and beautiful view!
Loved it! Ty
Fabulous brunch buffet as well as breakfast menu selections. Kids options were great and reasonably priced as well. Patio seating tops it off with an ocean breeze and beautiful view.
Sadly, I was incredibly disappointed last night from our dining experience at Sea 180. There was a hair in my appetizer, the waiter replaced it, but still charged me for it. My husband's salad was mediocre, his $40 Ribeye was thin, fatty and flavorless. My scallops were just okay, but the pork belly was inedible; I am not even certain it was pork belly. It was tough and lacked flavor. Lastly and most importantly, I included a note in my reservation that it was my husband's birthday and that we were dining there to celebrate our last week living in San Diego after 15 years. Neither occasion was recognized. Incredibly disappointed, I will not recommend.
Wonderful staff and service! Definitely one of my favorite restaurants 😊
Excellent food, innovative menu, and one of the few places where you can really each with a view of the ocean.
Good food, great view, nice server. Service a little slow but it was busy and not a big deal.
They were out of shrimp, and scallops and some other items! My dad and I were kinda upset!
