About SEA180 Coastal Tavern

SEA180° - a coastal tavern, brings contemporary beachfront dining to one of San Diego’s most distinctive locales. With sweeping “180 degree” views of the Coronado Islands, South Bay and Mexico, the name SEA180° was coined from the expansive ocean views visible from every corner of the establishment and is just steps from the stunning Imperial Beach sand. Located on the ground level of Pier South Resort, named for the nearby Imperial Beach pier, SEA180° provides one of the few dining options in San Diego that is truly oceanfront.

Best burger ever!! Hubby almost always orders a burger and this was delicious!! I got a bite! Probably the best tasting I've ever had. I wish it was grass fed. Mom had the linguine clams and dad has seafood cobb. They both liked their choices. I had the lobster bisque. It was not very good. But I gave this place 5 stars because the service was excellent! Janet (or Jeannette) was so friendly and helpful. I asked about the brunch and she was so accommodating to not just tell me but show me. Great service with a lovely smile! Lovely view too with fire pits and lots of room.
We hope to come back.

I gotta say I wish I would have tried this restaraunt sooner... still kicking myself. The food, service and ambiance was fantastic. The brussel sprouts appetizer was DELICIOUS and we loved our entrees. It's a great place to go to grab a nice seafood dinner in the South bay area. I will definitely be coming back.

This restaurant has previously received very good reviews, which is why we picked it during our stay in Imperial Beach. However, it is overrated. There is a very limited menu and it is overpriced for the amount of food served for the entrées. I went to what I thought was a VERY nice restaurant and ended up ordering FISH AND CHIPS. It's called SEA 180 , but perhaps should change to SEE 180. Nice view, but generally very disappointing.

The best part of the evening was the service. Wait staff, as with all Cohn restaurants, is always impeccable.
The food did not shine. All of my dining experiences at Bo Beau and alike are always above expectation, this was not . The cioppino was not cooked long to get the essence of both sea and tomato to marry yet the seafood was overcooked.
I understand Sunday night can be family night but 4 screaming children not being controlled turned a, what should be tranquil meal, in to chaotic eat and let's leave. My time and money are better spent at a different location.

Love the Ambiance of Sea180 and the food is very delicious too. Great location and super awesome view from anywhere in the restaurant. My friends and clients always have a great time and we all enjoy the food. Service definitely needs improvement.

Atmosphere and service were unbeatable, oceanfront outdoor patio can't be beat. Food was mediocre at best. I had the swordfish, others at the table had filet mignon, scallops & pork belly...all of us were dissappointed in the flavors, portion, etc for the price AND they charged us for bread. That's just tacky. Would return for happy hour, but will never waste my money on a meal there again.

They "forgot" to move us to our table after having been at the bar for quite a while even though we had reservations. Server wasn't very attentive. Waited a realllly long time for our bill and desserts.

This is still the best place in town to catch the sunset over drinks and dinner. The food is consistently good, having removed some of the items from the menu that were lacking, the service is excellent, and best of all is its accessibility. Parkimg is always a breeze versus the hassle at other waterfront restaurants in SD. IB is the perfect surf town, and SEA180 is one of its gems.

Great sea view. Went on "Date night " $39.95 for two including salad to share, 3 other items to share ( vegetables, flatbread, sausage plate, Cerviche), and bottle of wine. Was a very good deal as portions were ample and the wine was not too bad. Food good although Cerviche a little too spicy for me but my husband liked it. Service with Cody was good. Would go again.

This is a restaurant where the view equals the quality food offered. The scene is perfect, and the food creative and inspired. Street parking is limited but the hotel restaurant validates the valet ticket and makes it a very reasonable expense.

Sea180 is a favorite of mine. Guaranteed delicious meals with lots of savory spices. This isn't a run of the mill place, it's special. The view of the ocean is always beautiful no matter what the weather is like. Makes a great date place, meeting place and all around good for life place. All services in the restaurant are top notch. You can't go wrong with your experience here.

We went for San Diego Restaurant Week and had their $30 three-course meal. I had the braized short rib and my husband had the catch of the day. Both were delicious. The waiter was delightful but busy. I had the Jalapeno/Mango Margarita with my meal and it was spicy and sweet, but not too spicy.

Service was fine. Outdoor dining was great. Food so-so. I had Oysters Rockfellow it was luke warm upon arrival. Two in the party had Buffett and it could use a little work. Dry food and pretty boring. I know the Buffett was not on the restaurant week menu but the restaurant week menu was so limited to not much 2 in the party went for the Buffett. I would think this would be your week to shine in all areas.

It was my husband and I's first time at Sea180 and this place did NOT disappoint. Amazing view of the ocean (although we wished we got there early enough to watch the sunset), good food and good customer service. Will definitely eat here again.

We normally enjoy Sea 180 but the last dinning experience was subpar. Drink order came after our main course was served 15minutes to long. We got an appetizer which took a while to get and before we could take two bites the main course was served. The manager did come over and offer an apology but the dinning experience was not as pleasant as usual. We will go back. I'm sure it was probably a one time thing. The food itself was outstanding.

I called 10 days prior to make a reservation. I asked for a table out on the patio. The night before the reservation I was called and told that the whole patio was not available because there was a luau. I could only be seated inside. I found that very frustrating to have made a reservation 10 days ahead and not be told at the time that the patio that I had requested was not available. It was my guests birthday and he had requested trying this restaurant. We went anyway and we're seated inside behind a crowd of standing people on the patio and never did have a view. Not cool!

Steak and short rib were good, but some of the veggies weren't cooked very well. Specifically, one pearl onion was slightly undercooked but still caramelized, while another onion was still very raw and ended up leaving that characteristic flavor/aroma on my palette.
