Sea Venture Ratings and Reviews
Made Valentines reservation, the filet was very tender the rack of lamb was delicious. They presented my wife with a rose. The view was beautiful watched a spectacular sunset, very romantic. Did not feel rushed at all even though it was timed seating. A very enjoyable experience.
Food is not quality and is overpriced. My date ordered a Medium Beef Tenderloin and it came out bloody, VERY RARE. We did not get steak removed from bill. Also, the salad and desert was not special and very minimal with flavor and quantity. Do NOT recommend.
We got there just in time for the sunset and there is an awesome view - our waiter was very accommodating and professional.
The Salmon on roasted potatoes and kale was done perfectly - I do think they should offer salad with your dinner and not charge extra.
All in all we enjoyed it altho' it was a little noisy and dark - the darkness would be ok with a date but it was my niece and I.
The food tastes great and food presentation was beautiful. The price is reasonable for dinner with fine dining setting and a beautiful view of the ocean and sunset view. It was a birthday celebration & we got a free creame brulee that was delicious. Most of all our server, CHRIST, was fantastic!
We went to this restaurant for the SLO Restaurant Month menu. They had a very good offering for restaurant month. I had the potstickers and they were excellent. My husband had the sliders and they were good but not as flavorful as we expected. For the main course, I had salmon which was good but a little dry. The braised beef and mushroom dish was good. Both desserts were very good. One was creme brulee and the other was an apple pastry with ice cream.
The view from the restaurant is beautiful and very relaxing. We would return again, probably for their bar menu.
My husband and I came here for our anniversary. We had a window seat and got to watch the sunset. We got the filet mignon and lobster tail and it was delicious. Service was good. The waitress and helpers were very attentive and cleared our dirty plates promptly. We'll definitely be back!
This time it was particularly loud at the bar. We sat in a booth and probably should have sat below near a window to be able to talk. The bar and the dining room is one big room, just various levels. Food was great though and so was the incredible view of the ocean.
It wasn’t bad. The view was stunning and the service was attentive and kind. Our food was nothing to write home about and was a little over priced for the quality. It was a good date night but the place and food could just use a face lift. Chances are we won’t go back since there are other places we prefer in the area for the cost.
Amazing views, comfortable surroundings, top shelf service and excellent food set this restaurant apart...our server Sam was an expert with the menu and made some superb recommendations...she was very personable and helped to elevate our overall experience...a definitive highlight of our trip down the Pacific Coast:)
Walking in we were not sure, the decor was pretty dark and tired It did not seem like a very nice restaurant. If you arrive before sunset I am sure no one would notice the decor because the views are amazing. The food was excellent. All four of us were really impressed with our meals. We would definitely go back!
This was our second meal at Sea Venture. We ordered exactly the same things, since our first visit six months ago was so exceptional. Unfortunately, we noticed a marked difference in the quality of our meals. The portion sizes were much smaller with less attention to detail. Here’s hoping that exceptional cuisine returns .
