We started with delicious Oysters Rockefeller as our appetizer. We split a wonderful beet salad, perfectly dressed, and shared the Couples Lobster & Filet. That was divine. The service was attentive but not intrusive.
The dining room is getting old and outdated and could stand a refresh.
Decent food presented on plates which have seen 1990s. Place looks old and needs an overhaul. Some staff needs attention to details. Wonderful hostess and breathtaking views of the Pacific.
Beautiful venue, and beautiful place to watch the sunset
Food was pretty good and the service was great. Our server was really sweet and very attentive. My only complaint is that we felt mildly rushed to eat and leave. Our food came out EXTREMELY fast, to the point where our server even made a comment about how fast it was, and seemed concerned about that herself. The cheesecake, while very delicious was disappointingly small for 2 people, especially in comparison to the portion sizes of our entrees. Other than that, the view was lovely and our server was so so sweet. We also ordered brunch room service which was absolutely wonderful.
There was a car show in town for the weekend, and while they normally let you park in the garage if you’re eating at the restaurant, they refused to let us park there that night. Because of the car show there were no parking spots within a mile+ of the restaurant. It took my husband more than 45 minutes to find a spot, leaving me alone at the restaurant on our anniversary! It would have been nice if the restaurant called us to let us know about the parking situation so we could have walked from our hotel or took an Uber and just planned better. Super disappointed we were not afforded the courtesy
Probably the best ocean front view on the central coast for dining. Menu doesn’t change much but the food is consistently excellent.
Have been going here for years and it is always the best of the best
Very disappointed with the meals we had, fish dry and vegetables were burnt.
The broccoli had a funny Smokey smell.
Wonderful ocean views from outdoor upstairs balcony but…there is no awning and the few umbrellas were not being used so a portion of our dinner was spent positioning and repositioning umbrellas as the sun was setting. Other diners were having the same issue and it’s hard to understand why the restaurant hasn’t yet figured this out since the view is a highlight here. Service was very friendly but simple food (salads) took too long to arrive and were not memorable. The menu features a variety of interesting martinis and those along with appetizers may be the best way to go at this place. Make sure to bring hats and sunglasses!
One of our options when out eating. Been going for years and recommend them.
Taylor was an awesome, attentive server. Unfortunately, the food was not as good as we remembered, but it was still good and well-prepared. Awesome view of the ocean that makes up for anything. They treated us to free desert as we were celebrating our Anniversary..
Great meal and service but very loud.
Amazing experience! Had too customer service, and enjoyed the food!
Good & service were excellent! The view of the beach at sunset was an added plus! We'd definitely return there.
Love the Sea Venture!
Service was great! Food awesome !!
It was nice to have dinner at sea venture. Restaurant staff were very friendly and we enjoyed the time eating there. Would recommend this place to anyone who wants a romantic and relax dinner.
amazing view, incredible food, overall amazing... will go back!
Great upper deck seating with ocean views good service. Excellent food
A great evening
Beautiful setting by the ocean
Beautiful view and WONDERFUL food!!
Great food and cocktails. We sat outside under the patio heaters and were comfortable.
People smoking cigarettes on outdoor patio and screaming loud. It was hardtop hear my parents. 1st not good experience there unfortunately. Forgot our starters too but the food we got was very good.
The staff and the outdoor setting is very nice. The cocktails are HUGE. The wine selection is limited and the restaurant felt “dated” and could use a refresh. The food was OK. As I noted, the staff were very nice, friendly and helpful.
Very average food, at an above average price. We had the crab cakes, nachos, wedge salad and the rib eye. Sadly, the nachos were the best thing on the table. Additionally, the steak took 45 minutes to come out… if it wasn’t par cooked (sous vide), sure; cause it was big. But, considering all that needed to be done was a hard sear and some salt & pepper and still took that long… idk, I contemplated canceling it but I didn’t. When it finally did arrive, it was severely under seasoned. Ambiance… I booked a spot on the patio with a sunset view in mind. Missed out on that. We were seated in a corner, with a large pillar obstructing any opportunity to see it. Staff… our waiter was adequate, not great. He could’ve benefited from a good hand/nail scrubbing. And, with the current covid situation, I’m a believer patrons should be offered salt & pepper and not need to ask. Interior could use some updating. It felt like a flashback to my 80s upbringing. Sorry to leave such a poor review, but I was rather disappointed.
Cocktail was good Raspberry Lemon Drop. Diver Scallops were good but the main dish was quite bland and over priced for a shimp and lobster pot pie. The puff pastery was tough and shimp and lobster bits were very small. The worst part was the pastery and potatoes were drowning in gravy. This made what might have been a good dish just a bowl of mush. View was beautiful.
We enjoyed a birthday dinner out on their patio overlooking Pismo Beach, and witnessed a beautiful sunset from there. Thomas, our server, was attentive and the food was quite good. We ordered the filet/lobster for two. Our steaks were a bit overdone but still tasty. Highly suggest the Bananas Foster for desert. Unfortunately, they don't flambe it at the table. That was how they'd do it back in the old days.
It is my favorite 😊😉🥳😂😋😋
Come enjoy for your self
Long waits, overpriced mediocre food, bad cocktails, and abysmal service with a lovely view of the beach! Recommend dining elsewhere.
As we stepped into the restaurant we were so impressed with the beautiful ocean views and you can enjoy the view whether you dine inside or out. The service was wonderful. Our order was taken quickly. The dinner came out quickly and the server checked back with us to make sure we had everything we needed. They even brought us desert as we were celebrating our anniversary. The food was just so so. I had the Sea Bass and my husband had the seafood medley. Mine was supposed to come with cauliflower purée but it came with dried out broccoli instead. The fish needed better seasoning as it was bland. The seafood medley was a little better but still pretty bland. Overall I would say come for the atmosphere but not necessarily the food.
Prime oceanfront location from which to watch the sunset!
We thoroughly enjoyed our experience. Although we have visited this area for years, it was our first time here. We will certainly return. I especially loved the clam chowder.
would like a pasta/seafood entree
and other appetizers $`12-15
Our favorite brunch restaurant, our server was one the ball and Irish coffee are delicious,
The place was nice and comfortable. Service was great! Food was okay. They had a very nice view of the ocean, beach and sunset. They gave us a very nice birthday dessert. It was a pleasant time.
My husband and I enjoyed and shared the calamari, wedge salad, and prime rib sliders, with wine and a French martini!
Order the rib eye!
We were celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary. The views of the ocean are beautiful. Restaurant is pretty casual and kind of loud like a cafeteria. Outside seating may be better. That being said the food was outstanding & the views great. We had the rib-eye and the Vol au Vente, both were outstanding!
